I highly recommend Dr. Kendrick. I've never received better bedside manner for my golden retriever. The first time in the 4.5 years, I didn't feel rushed. Dr. Kendrick actually took the time to explain things to us, and answer all our questions. He spent almost two hours with us. The time he spent with us today, was more time then all our vet appointments put together ( we have two golden retrievers). He made our dog feel comfortable, he sat on the floor on our dogs level. He gave us so much useful information, and options. Unlike other vets we have seen in the past. I'm beating myself up that I didn't decide to switch vets sooner. He takes out the middle man (the vet-himself) and let's you order medication directly from their supplier on their website too! There is so much to go over, I can't even begin to start! My in laws (live in Alabama) are going to take their 11 year old golden to him! We have an appointment for our other golden tomorrow. All I have to say if you're not happy with your current vet, do not settle! I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Kendrick!!!! Pricing is very reasonable! Read Less

They know what they're talking about with reptiles, which is hard to find. Our bearded dragon had been misdiagnosed with Metabolic Bone Disease, and so we were giving him calcium supplements. The Vet at Country Club Pet Hospital checked him out, predicted gout, ran an x-ray, confirmed gout, and took him off the calcium right away, since that can compound the problem. Probably saved the little guy's life (if we're lucky). Read Less

This office is wonderful. They treat ferrets as normal pets rather than exotics, they recognize me and my pets by first name when I call for appointments (Once every few months.) All the staff remembers my schedule so it's such a relief that they know the instant I call that I work over nights and what times I'd be able to come. The vets are absolutely amazing at caring for my animals. They have never tried to push extras on me or criticize my care decisions. (IE: Vaccines that ultimately aren't needed for indoor animals/aged animals/frequency) They helped me find solutions to afford not only my pet's health but my own and have never given a poor experience. If I could give no stars, I would. I have been to Country Club Pet Hospital two times. It is very conveniently located for me, and I have not found a new vet since I moved to Mansfield so I gave Country Club Pet Hospital a try. I was more or less satisfied with my first visit, in which I saw Dr. Kendrick because my cat completely ripped off one of his claws. I feel like he was knowledgeable, and his approach was conservative (which I prefer) and he told me that the healing had already begun and to just watch it. He also gave me unsolicited advice on feeding, and was somewhat pushy about it. I brushed it off as his being passionate about animal health and not possessing the best/most diplomatic people skills, but my overall experience still left me a bit unsettled. Nothing to bother writing a review over on its own. My second visit was for 1 year vaccinations for one of my kittens, and a vaccination for my puppy. While I am fully vaccinating my puppy on a timetable that matches the standard recommendations for such, I was verbally assaulted at length by Vet Tech Jennifer. She insulted me, my puppy's extremely knowledgeable and involved breeder, because I did not want the standard combined vaccination products they push. PLEASE NOTE: MY DOG WILL BE FULLY VACCINATED - I was beat up over the way in which I wanted this accomplished. She accused me of endangering my dog (Completely ridiculous. Seriously. This pampered and protected dog has it better than most people's kids) and demonstrated no respect for me, along with no knowledge or willingness to learn about giant breeds. After that drama (I didn't mention that this was all happening with my 9 year old daughter in the room as well...seriously, who yells at someone and accuses them of endangering a puppy in front of a child?) the other Vet (Dr. Neece) came in and continued attempting to push combo vaccinations along with and injectable heartworm/tick/flea combo drug that I was also uninterested in (they had to scrounge to come up with an edible heartworm preventative, and we had already applied Frontline Plus to him a week prior). To top it off, she dismissed an OBVIOUS staph infection as perhaps being healing scabs/bumps leftover from being bitten by littermates (seriously...even though I pointed out that the rash with the raised, pus-filled bumps did not appear until over a week after we got him home, and the fact that my puppy came from an amazing breeder who takes amazing care of all of her dogs and operates with COMPLETE transparency and amazing amounts of support for the life of the dog) and offered absolutely nothing other than that it would be harmless to try washing him with an antibacterial shampoo (which I had already been doing, it wasn't working). This was far and away the worst vet visit I have ever had in my life. I drove over an hour to get back to our old vet for our puppy's next vaccination appointment (during which he prescribed antibiotics for the staph infection we had been unsuccessfully attempting to treat at home for 6 weeks at that point)...and it was completely worth it. To top everything off, Country Club was more expensive than my old vet, and we got an additional prescription and a bag of greenies pill pockets in addition to the exact same vaccine that we got at Country Club. Expensive, disrespectful, ignorant, and they push a single line of combo drugs/vaccines. I will never be back, regardless of how conveniently located they are. Read Less

I called in to see how much it would be to bring in my sick rat and the woman on the phone asked me if I would be coming in later and k said maybe. She NEVER said anything about making an appointment. When I got there my pet was in obvious distress having difficulty breathing (one of the women behind the counter even said it looked like she was having a very hard time breathing) but they refused to see me because I did not have an appointment. They recommended I drive her all the way out to Grapevine rather than have the vet look at her. Or that I could make an appointment in 3 days. I was in tears and both women working were EXTREMELY rude and nonchalant. I could tell they obviously didn't care what happened to my animal. Work on your people skills. Work on your compassion. I will NEVER be taking any of my animals here in the future. Your people skills have turned me off. 9/24/15 3:01 AM UPDATE: She started having seizures and passed away an hour ago. Not that you care. The last time we visited the Country Club Pet Hospital was February 2015. It is now September 2015. So, 7 months since our last visit. At that time our dog was all up to date on shots, ect. My dog has Addison's disease. Every month she has to be give a shot of Percorten-V, or else she will begin to go into adrenal shock. When I called Country Club Pet Hospital on September 23rd to reorder my dogs Percorten-V, I was told I would have to bring her back in for a exam and up-to-date shots. I asked if they could order the medicine because she was beginning to go into adrenal shock, then come in for a visit. I was told no. And I am not exaggerating on her going into adrenal shock...You can always tell when it's coming on. The dogs breath gets bad, they stop eating, the get very lethargic and it just goes down hill from there. If it's not caught in time they can die, or you are going to have a VERY expensive hospital bill getting them back to normal. I'm am completely okay with bringing my dog in for an exam/shots but if you are NOT going to write a prescription for a medicine my dog NEEDS to survive after visiting 7-MONTHS AGO...You will not be getting my business. Animal Emergency Hospital of Mansfield is expensive for just check-ups but they have always been so good/kind with my dogs Addison's disease. I'll be continuing to work with them for my dogs Addison's disease.Read Less
