You Lied to Dan. Told him it was a 3 year rabies when it was only a 1 year charged me $159. Paid them $405 to evaluate, test. You are a bunch of hateful people can't imagine your lack of care for the animals. I warned him not to go there. I have another in our family that had a bad experience with you! He told me you asked him to pay you cash in the treatment room not the front desk. Do you have any idea you were poking a bear. He is a well trained Combat Vet but my sister and God turned him into a teddy bear, that's why he probably didn't debate the embarrassing demand instead letting him pay at the your front desk like other customers. Get your story straight before you open your mouth! UPDATE: I gave that poodle to my sister and her husband Dan Cornelius. Another member of my family has had similar unprofessional treatment at your veterinarian clinic so this post is how I, Michael Denney, assessed your service based on information provided by Dan. I am sure Dan has his own opinion about you. He told me you held him in the room with his dead poodle and demanded payment were as other customers go to the front desk! Dr. Mac is wonderful. He's always been able to help with issues I've had with my animals, however, the quality and experience of the other vets here has been disappointing. If you only need shots, general check up, it would be fine but for any real problems, I wouldn't use them again. My dog was brought in and treated only for an eye infection because "they can only treat what they can see" - although he was weak, could hardly walk, breathing extremely slow, then fast, had lost 20 lbs (since Feb) and bloated. Ended taking him to a different vet the same day who diagnosed him within 10 minutes, however, he ended passing away that same day. Read Less

Hands down the best animal clinic! Dr. McClister is so nice and professional. We brought this cat in from our neighborhood that we thought was abandoned, but after getting him checked out by the doctor we got a piece of mind because he was in good shape and health! Our family has been using Dr. Mac and the Mansfield Animal Clinic for many years and recently added a new puppy to our family. She was apprehensive in the examination room so Dr. Mac took the time to take her to a larger area in the back which allowed her to be more at ease. We have used Mansfield Animal Clinic for many years and have always been pleased with the care that has been provided as well as their professionalism in both good times and bad (e.g. loss of a dog). Not everyone is willing to care for Rottweilers but they have never shown any qualms - treating our big babies as if they were anybodies little dog. I have been concerned about the transition from the old Vets retiring (especially Dr Mac) and the new young Vets taking over - but we remain just as happy & satisfied as at any time in the past. Dr. Gaines is absolutely wonderful. He treats all of our dogs (children) like they were his own. Extremely knowledgeable in all areas, he assured me that I was not neglecting my babies by not realizing the severity of allergies. In fact, that's all there was wrong with them...allergies. He gave two of our dogs a shot and provided us with more Apoquel for future itching. The evening after the shot, the whole family slept. No itching and consistent biting of the skin. I am certainly glad that we found Dr. Gaines and the techs and the great staff. We were told by another doctor, who shall remain nameless, that giving an allergy shot would kill our babies. This is my second time to bring our pets to the clinic. Both times everyone has been nice except for the vet tech. Both times she has been demeaning in the way she speaks. I think the first time she was trying to educate me but the way she spoke it just comes across as condescending. My friend was with me and she even made a comment about that visit being awkward. Today was no different, she made me feel inferior when she questioned me about why I brought one of my dogs in since nothing was wrong. I told her my husband had told me to bring her in with the puppies to get a check up. She questioned me if I was spading her and when I told we were not she said they don't check up on dogs unless it's before a surgery...her exact words. I told her I am bringing her in bc the lady who scheduled the appointment told my husband the mom could be seen as well for free. She said we wouldn't do that. So she leaves to go call that lady to clarify and I call my husband to confirm. She comes back in and said I confused her when I said free....yet, she questioned me from the beginning before I even said the word free!?!? She then proceeded to tell me that they can see the mother and do a well care check up and it is included in the price with no additional charge bc of the multiple dog visit...FOR THE LOVE  I had no words for her. We have 4 dogs. German Shepherd, Doberman, Jack Russell, and Dorgi. We have seen Dr. Mac and Dr. Gaines. Our fur babies are our children so when something happens, we know where to turn. They each have individual needs, and the docs see that they are well taken care of. From meds to keep our Dobie comfy, minor surgery for a toenail that broke off on our German, all the way to shots for a feint positive heart worm test after the torrential rains, we are so pleased. The doctors have never done extra labs, charged for things that we didn't need, and they always have a great demeanor with our babies. There are some docs who became so rude that we had to change vets. Other clinics were so expensive, doing lab work for every little thing, and charging more for the same procedures. There are some things that we may never figure out like why our Jack Russell itches more now than before, but Dr. Mac suggested OTC meds and she is itch free. Yogurt for our German, anything for our Dobie (11 yrs old), and a diet for the Dorgi. Thank you so much! The staff is awesome and will listen to what is going on. Wonderful techs and clean rooms. Of course our German hates the docs now b/c she had surgery by each. But she warms up to them if I tell her to do so. We have found our dream clinic for our babies! So glad we changed and found these angels on earth for our big family. Just FYI, the last doc before we found MAC told us that giving our Jack Russell any Atarax (itch meds) would kill her. And asked us, why are you doing that? Do you want to kill her? The docs here gave her that medicine and we were told of course you can give that. Ugh! Mansfield Animal Clinic is great!! Their staff is awesome!! Our dog had an allergic reaction to her vaccinations and we had to take her back in to be treated with steroids and benadryl. I love this clinic and I found them after reading reviews. I had a vet who was not good and Dr. Gaines has taken such good, no great care of my four dogs. I would highly recommend this clinic and Dr. Gaines is wonderful, young, so good with my dogs. My Scottish Terrier always freaks out at the vet but Dr. Gaines was so kind and gentle and Amos just buried his head under Dr. Gaines' arm and let him examine him. Today was my first time coming here. I brought my dog for a check up. I had a wonderful first impression. Everyone was so sweet they really cared about animals. Then about a half hour later after leaving. My cat had an emergency and they fit me right in. I ended having to put him down. The vet's are absolutely wonderful. We're huge fans of Dr. Mac but Dr. Terry has also seen our Labs, Rotties & now a German Shepherd and has been great with all of them. We have always used Mansfield Animal Clinic when it was just Dr. Cannon and Dr. Mac. Our experience with Dr. Hill and the current staff was not a good one. We took Piper our Shiba Inu in to be looked at for her tummy issues. (She was yelping when she tried to poop.) She's not a fan of people she doesn't know and has not been feeling well for 3 days. This was not her first time going to this clinic and we have never seen her in this much pain. She freaked out and nipped my husband while being weighed in the office on this visit, but was calm when tech/assistant entered the room to go over why we where there. She then took Piper wrapped in a blanket to the back room. Not long after that my husband is summoned to the back room, where he was told that Piper was calm sitting on the table and then she snapped and bit the tech/assistant. Since a bite occurred she had to be quarantined for 10 days so they locked her up where she had a seizure. We thought they were kind to let us see her during the long 10 days, later to find out that the bite occurred while they were trying to muzzle her. A fact that was never mentioned to us before. Piper is a highly sensitive dog who was in pain and has never been muzzled before so knowing this makes perfect sense for her biting /lashing out. We picked her up today after the 10 days and was told the blood on her face was from her biting her tongue when they gave her the rabies vaccination. While cleaning the blood off her face I noticed that it was her lip and she was still bleeding. They never even bother to check that before us showing up to take her home. We WILL NEVER take any of our 3 pets back to this clinic again.Read Less

My parents took my furry-brothers (cats named Rocky and Buddy) to Mansfield Animal Clinic their entire lives. Dr. Cannon and Dr. McClister treated them both for congestive heart failure and prolonged their lives much longer than we expected. They also have had to end the suffering for every important animal in my life when the time came (Rocky and Buddy, as well as my own furbaby kitties, Smokey and Bandit). Most recently, we took Bandit in and discovered he had kidney failure and possibly cancer, and would not recover. Dr. Hill lovingly assisted Bandit to kitty heaven. After he passed, Mansfield Animal Clinic sent me a beautiful impression of my baby Bandit's paws and a sweet card. Just this little gesture meant so much to me during my time of loss. Service was slow and was not given FULL DISCLOSER costs. Had my female cat fixed. My normal vet Cedar Hill Vet was booked until June and their cost was $75. I called Mansfield Animal Clinic and asked how much it would cost for the surgery and get her shots updated. I was quoted $120 for the surgery and she would have to stay the night and $65 for shots (Cedar Hill Vet charges $20 for shots). I took her in to Cedar Hill Vet for shots to save $45. Manfield Animal Clinic said they could get her in two days. When I got there at 8:20am, I was the only customer in there. They got me into a room and I waited 20 plus minutes for a male tech to come in. He weighed her and took her back. Cedar Hill Vet in the past when I had other animal in surgery would call after and tell me how everything went (GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!). Mansfield never called me. I had to call them to check on her.When I went to pick her up the next day, I got ready to pay. They told me it would be $140. I said, you quoted me $120 why is it $20 more. She was in heat they said. I asked why extra cost was not FULLY DISCLOSED! No one seemed to know and Dr. Cannon the owner was not there to answer any questions. They said I could call Monday and talk with him. I told them I would. There was no instructions on how to handle the cat once we got her home. The CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE WORST I HAVE EVER SEEN!
