My fiancé and I took in a puppy that was rescued off the side of the road. We had never had a puppy before and had no direction on how to take care of one. I looked up vet offices in my area and decided to give this one a try. They take awesome care of my dog and know her by name without having to remind them. No dog likes the vet, but I trust my baby with them! The staff is very friendly and I’m always prompted to give the office a call with any questions because “no question is a stupid question.” Their Puppy Package is worth every single penny, comes with all their shots and boosters, and a percentage off the dog’s spat/neuter. Two weeks ago our 14.5 year old dog was not doing well at all. We visited Mira Lagos for the first time and Dr Milligan and the ENTIRE staff were so kind. They supported whatever decision we made, but said they could offer some medicine that might help with her arthritis. We went home and tried the medicine for a week and the following Friday, 20 minutes before they closed (with my husband and son out of town) Cupcake was unable to walk. I knew it was time to let her go. I called them and after changing my mind twice I drove her there. We walked in ten minutes before they were supposed to close on a Thursday night. EVERYONE at the clinic was SO compassionate and patient. Dr Milligan wasn't there so another Dr (I'm SO upset I can't think of her name!) saw us. The assistant was filled with compassion as we made a very difficult decision, and the Dr explained the whole process to me and let me video tape her explaination and the procedure for my 17 year old son who was heartbroken that he couldn't be there. We will for sure be bringing our other animals to this clinic for their checkups and anything else they need. Read Less

Worst experience ever. I took my kitty there because he has runny nose (seems like allergy) all the time. He also has chin acne. He is kinda big (20 pounds) and I want to get him vaccinations.After initial examination, doctor could not answer my question whether he is healthy or not. Also I represented to the doctor my concerns are his stuffy nose and dirty chin, she recommended kinds of lab work and organ scanning, which costs total of around $500. I decided to do blood test for him without organ scanning. Costs for my visit is $258 ( including examination, antibiotics shot and blood test). His blood test came in without any problem. But my main purposes are to get rid of his runny nose and chin acne and antibiotic does NOT even help him a day. Almost $300 for nothing with my baby. Read Less

This is the best animal clinic I have everbeen to! Dr. Strelec is absolutely amazing and so kind. The vet techs are amazing as well.Kasie, Beverley and Sharleen as so sweet . My first experience with the clinic was under horrible circumstances. We had to have our beloved dog of 15 yrs put down. Kasie was my first communication wirh Mira Lagos. Shehad been o sweet and understanding in emails. Once I arrived at the clinic, Kasie came out and carried my poor dog from the car to the exam room. We talked and she was just wonderful. Dr. Strelec entered the room and explained the procedure and was very compationate. Beverley also xame in and out explaining things and was just a joy. Once it was time to do the procedure, I cried and Dr Strelec along with Kasie, cried right along side of me. These people are truly gifts to the world. Most vets are cold and show no compassion but notnot this clinic. They showed compassion to my dog and myself. They made us feel loved and like we had been apart of the clinic family forever. Very poor and careless communication. We were charged for services we did not ask for or agreed to, when brought up to the attention of the staff we were told "tough." Never going back here, Dr. Strelec is nice but unfortunately that's not enough, we were lied to by the reception and wound up having to pay for their mistakes. Found new vet and would never recommend this place to anyone ever. Read Less

I am so grateful to have found Dr. Strelec and Mira Lagos Animal Clinic! We recently adopted a dog from a local shelter. Soon after her adoption found that she was very sick. Dr. Strelec was able to identify what was wrong and treat her accordingly. We had multiple appointments, visits, and antibiotics. I feel that the treatment plan was conservative, but effective. We couldn't have picked a better place to bring our first family pet Roxi! Dr. Strelec and Eve were so gentle and informative to us. Our Roxi definitely came back happy and taken care of.
