If you care about your pet, DO NOT EVER BRING THEM HERE!!! I have an 18 year old pug, at our visit they told me that she had a her trachea was collapsing, and that the only way to help her would be an extremely expensive surgery. After doing my own research I found out that collapsing tracheas are common in younger dogs not seniors. I then decided to take her to another vet there diagnosis, it turns out she has Bronchitis, and her treatment has worked wonders. I was convinced I would have to prepare to put my dog down, over their lack of knowledge and professionalism. Not one of these people should be providing care for anyones animal. I have had my pet insurance with Banfield for the past 8 years.  I have been to many Banfield locations across the US and this location is by far the worst.  I took my dog in for a standard laser cleaning procedure, which he has had many times before.  When I picked him up he was still loopy which at first was not a concern but he had difficulty breathing and was whining all night long.  As the night went on his condition did not improve so the next day I ended up taking him to another Banfield location to get x-rays and have another vet check him out.    I would not recommend taking your pet to this location and particularly to see Doctor Chandra Sekhar bathina.  Before I took my pet to another location I called this location and the lady on the phone was very rude and cutting me off every time I tried to explain the issue. If you love your pet don't take it to this location. Read Less

If I could give ZERO stars I would.First of all, I am an EXCELLENT customer. I NEVER miss appointments, we pay $80 MONTHLY for both our dogs, I've been a customer OVER a year, and I am always respectful to Drs and Staff (even though 90% of their staff gives attitude). Except Casey and Dr Gonzalez - love them!!! I ALWAYS have to wait 10-15 min after my scheduled appt, which I am always 5 min early for, to see the Dr. The ONLY Dr I will let see my dogs is Dr. Gonzalez - she is GREAT. So...I called last week because Banfield had called me about my dog Akela. I called them back and they said it was time to schedule some of his vaccines. The guy I spoke to told me, that if I wanted to save ''energy', I could schedule Akela for the end of June so I could get all his vaccines done at one time instead of coming once a month until then. I said that would be great for Akela, but I needed to get my other Dog Buster scheduled. The guy told me he had a few days next week and what time - so I told him to book me for 5:00 pm on 5/2. So..........................5/2 arrives, I put the collar on Buster, we drive the 20 min to Banfield...after the lady gets off the phone she asks me what Im there for. I tell her I have a 5:00 pm appt for my dog Buster. She looks and says....we dont have you in the system - are you sure you made an appt?? (really) I tell her I called last week and made an appt with some guy for today at 5. She looks up my phone number but no appt is on the books. She goes back to the Dr and asks if they can squeeze me in? The Dr tells her that I can 'drop him off' and pick him up later. Its 5 PM.....they close at 7.........its 2 vaccines......AND I HAD AN APPT!!!! Plus, I dont like to drop them off - which is why I booked a 5 pm in room appt. I am trying my best not to be lash out my frustration.....even though this secretary is giving me major RBF. So, I tell her that I can reschedule....she tells me she has Wed or Thurs this week. I choose Thurs. She said she had 3 or 3:30 so I asked if she happened to have a 4 pm? She looks at me......and says no. So I said fine.....I CAN make 3:30 on Thursday work. And to top it all of SHE NEVER APOLOGIZED............I am cancelling our monthly service with them and finding another place that actually gives a crap about my fur babies. We pay them FAARRRR too much for them to treat us they way they did today. Read Less

I used to really love coming to Banfield for my puppy but after this last experience we will not be coming back. I never thought that I would have to write a bad review...but this was unacceptable. My puppy (Koda) was in for his last set of puppy shots and everything was going fine until we asked the vet to cut his nails. Koda is an Australian Shepherd mix so he is growing much faster than your average puppy. He's very gentle and is good with kids. He used to be able to fit on the table that the vets would examine animals on but now he has to be examined on the floor due to his size. Dr. Blaylock was beginning to cut his nails and then Koda started to get nervous and freak out. He started whimpering and crying. Dr. Blaylock and her assistant were calm at first and trying to calm him down as well, but as Koda was getting more scared, they got more aggressive with him. It got to the point where Koda tried to bite and Dr. Blaylock's assistant hit Koda. Now at this point, I'm pretty sure any well-educated and trained vet would bring out the muzzle and continue on with the exam until they're finished to prevent any aggression/violence/harm from the puppy. But instead of doing that, they got aggressive and shaky and would hit him until they finished cutting his nails. My boyfriend and I were not happy and in shock and weren't quite sure what to say and if this was right. I went home that day and did some research and quickly saw that this kind of "protocol" and behavior isn't acceptable or moral for vets. You just don't hit my dog. You don't hit any dog in general. They're helpless and don't know any better and especially with puppies, he is still in training. We won't be coming back to this location. Read Less

Ridiculous place. I took my 12-year old dog there. From what I'd found on the internet, I was fairly sure that he had a yeast infection as a result of a flea allergy reaction, due to the appearance that matched the pics on the internet and the description of the smell as like "fritos." The vet had an accent (not sure if it was Chinese, Vietnamese, etc.) that made it difficult to understand her. She said she would not make any diagnosis without running over $400 worth of tests, and this didn't include the $50 office visit. She absolutely would not venture an opinion on what it could be, but finally said that mite tests often come up positive and she thought that he might have them in his ears. So we got a mite test - it was negative. The assistant and the vet just stand in the room staring at you, looking disappointed that you won't spend $400 on tests for your dog, and once it becomes clear you really aren't going to do that - they get very short with you and won't make eye contact. The whole thing just felt like a hustle. So, I went to another vet recommended by a friend. I told him about my previous experience at Banfield. That doctor took one look at my dog and said, "Any vet in the first year of med school would be able to recognize this as a flea allergy and a yeast infection." He gave him a shot of antibiotics, a prescription for more antibiotics, and a yeast-treating shampoo, and a flea preventative. The entire office visit including those medications ran me $150 and my dog started getting better immediately. Don't go to Banfield.Read Less

We got a German Sheppard Puppet on Saturday and eagerly looking for a vet but found no where opened on weekends. The puppet is lovely but full of flea, not toilet-trained and we are first time owners not knowing what to do except being stressed out. We took him to Petsmart and Banfield clinic gave us an appointment right away. Nurse Jennifer and Dr. Smith were very patient, knowledgeable, and kind to teach us what to do besides taking care of the de-worming, vaccination, and physical exam. It is such a relieve to have quick and kind service! We had making big progress toilet-training him and enjoy him very much! We really appreciate your high quality service!Read Less

Dr. Campbell is hands down the BEST vet we have ever used, and we have no intention of ever using anyone else. He performed surgery on my puggle to fix his cherry eye, and went above and beyond out expectations. He spent the days before the surgery doing research and gathering information just to make sure he did everything perfectly even though he'd done the surgery several times before. He called us before the surgery began and as soon as it finished, and kept us updated on everything. When I went to go pick him up, he sat down with my husband and I and took the time to answer all of our questions and make sure Batman (our puggle) was good to go before they discharged him. When Batman had an allergic reaction to the medicine he was given, Dr. Campbell made time for us to come in the same day so he could personally check on him and make sure he was alright. This vet truly cares about the animals he treats, and took every possible measure to not only take care of our beloved pet, but to make sure we felt happy and reassured as well. I wish I could give him as well as the rest of the staff 10 stars rather than 3. Read Less

Service was excellent - the nurse was very thorough in explaining and answering all my questions. The prices were affordable - most vets in the area that I called were going to charge $170-$200+ for annual vaccinations. I purchased a wellness plan that covers annual vaccinations and dental care/operations, but had I only bought the annual vaccinations, it would have been under $150. Received a follow up call the next day to make sure all was okay with my dog. Thank you! My only issue (and not even a big one) was the length of the appointment - I'm used to 15-25 minute appointments, inclusive of wait time. Mine turned out to be an hour, as there is only one doctor on site handling more than one animal at a time (four nurses). Read Less

I wouldn't send my worst enemy to that place! They vaccinated my cat, who then had a severe reaction. Just before the vaccination the vet was called into the adjoining room where a dog was also having a bad vaccine reaction. That night in a 24-hour emergency vet clinic we ran in to the people who owned that dog, and they said both their dog and cat had bad reactions. Only the dog required emergency care. That's three bad vaccines in a space of about 15 minutes. Don't cha think they would care to find out why?? Uh Uh. They kept promising to look into it, and the vet said he would cover the clinic cost but they did neither. I finally gave up after numerous attempts at the clinic and corporate office. They simply do not care about the health of their patients at either the store or the corporate level. I just feel obligated to warn everyone I know not to take their beloveds there!!!Read Less

I'm very disappointed at this place. I called yesterday to schedule an appointment for my dog who seems to have a bad eye infection, the lady on the phone booked me for drop off but apparently she forgot to add me on the schedule. I just showed up and some guy told me that my dog was not on the schedule and that unfortunately they were not able to see my dog today. Now I'm calling all these places to see if someone can see my baby today. This is so upsetting.Read Less

I like this vet better than the one located in Frisco, off of Preston. This location seems a little more thorough and less rushed. I felt I was being a bother and rushed out the door still with questions and not a full understanding of what was going on. Only thing I don't like is the outrageous prices. Read Less
