Dr. Mane was my veterinarian when I lived in Louisiana and if I still lived close by, I would never see another vet. Across two different states, I’ve yet to find another that is as knowledgeable, has as great of a bedside manner, or that has as much compassion for your pet as he does. Can’t go wrong here! My whole family has taken all of our animals here since it opened. They have always been great BUT they must have had a change in staff bc the last time I took my pitbull in (who is SOMETIMES skittish bc she was previously attacked/abused) the vet (a woman) marched right in, gave no warm up to my dog and then IMMEDIATELY started scolding me saying how she was a danger to society and if I ever had an emergency I’d be out of luck bc no one would treat her, when I’ve been not only there many times with no issues, but many other places. ALL SHE DID WAS ONE LITTLE GROWL AND THEN JUST SAT THERE. RUDEST VET EVER. Had no understanding for animals who need to warm up to a new person when they’re already obviously nervous bc they’re at a vet, and sick. I’m usually not a complainer, but this is NOT the place if you want any compassion shown to your animal. Go the rest of the reviews to confirm other people’s experiences. I’ll never ever go back. This place is really nicely located.. tucked away a bit, but easy access on custer rd.  The facility is nicely appointed and spacious with waiting benches inside.  Everybody seems professional and I can tell they are animal lovers.  Folks, that is a key characteristic to look for at a place you kennel your pet at.  They know my pets by name, and I have kenneled with them for the past 2 years.  There were so many places I would take my pets in the past and you could tell they became really frightened when I brought them back....usually a bad sign.  This place though, they seem less nervous and not so afraid.  I also like that they take care of all the shots needed and give my dogs complimentary baths.  They aren't the cheapest place out there, but I think they are best.  It's nice to have place with Vets on board daily in case your pet gets sick injured for some reason.  That's good peace of mind! Staff, service & facility are the best I have ever found. Large waiting area & porch allow for plenty of space for each owner & pet as they arrive. Upon entering you are greeted & quickly checked in. Great new vet has been at the clinic for a few months. He treats my animals with care and listens to my needs and concerns. I am very happy brining my animals for vet care here. I toured the boarding facility and thought the play area was small and dirty. Not sure I would board. Read Less

I take my dogs to board at this location whenever we go on vacation. Really convenient since they can take care of their shots while I'm away. The first time I went, I toured where they would be sleeping and the area "behind" the scenes. Thought is was really clean and well maintained. Also, when I picked up my dogs - they noted that they tried to give treats to my stubbornly loyal chihuahua (who doesn't like strangers) and I appreciated that extra effort as they do seem to care. I used to work at an animal hospital as a technician and this clinic does not treat your pet with respect. They are not AAHA accredited and thus your pet is not receiving the best care nor the best attention. The vet is rude and not welcoming (not what you would expect from an "Aggie"). Overall this clinic is money hungry and will do anything to open up your wallet even at the expense of your pet. Read Less

If I could give zero stars I would. I boarded my dog there. They sat with me and asked if my dog could be with other dogs. I told him my dog was not socialize to please keep him separated. When I picked him up he was wet, cold and full of feces. They didn't even bathe him. I asked how he did and the tech told me he played really well with the other dogs. Which I knew was a lie. When I inquired further she said that he stayed by the fence. Even though he was not supposed to be near other dogs. When I got him home he had bloody stool for days. They didn't even mention that to me at pick up. No review of the bill. Pushed their other services. And the vet was at the front desk and never ever looked up to say a word. No concern that they were giving me a dog full of feces. They seem to just want their money. No concern for your pet. Read Less

Love this vet!  Been bringing my cats & dog here for years.  They are open on Sunday and always work in an appt if you need them.  They even stayed late one Sunday for me when my old cat had to be put down and were very consoling.  I highly recommend them! Read Less

I used them for a few years when I moved and couldn't spend an hour traveling to my old vet that I loved. One afternoon, I had a life and death emergency with my Great Dane. He had bloat and needed to be seen immediately. When I called, they said we don't have any appointments available and to call the emergency hospital. I did...they didn't open for 3 more hours and my dog would have been dead by then. I called back frantic, and they just kept saying we can't see him! I ended up taking him to a vet in Frisco who I didn't know, and who had him in surgery 10 minutes after we arrived and saved him. My feelings are, if you are a vet, you should be there for the day in day out stuff as well as the emergencies DURING office hours!! Read Less

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE! The owner is very cheap and does not provide the tools the vets and vet techs need to do their jobs, the building is dangerous and not up to code, not to mention the vets are just plain rude. If you must take your animal here, I would recommend Dr McNatt, who is way too qualified to work for a such a cheap and unprofessional clinic like Cross Timbers. Great place, very loving and caring of our dogs, wouldn't take our pets anywhere else, because they helped us make informed medical decisions about what was best for our pets. They won't poke you in the eyes regarding end-of-life medical care either...some animal hospitals would have you mortgage your house just to keep your pet alive another 5 days, but these folks were very good about helping us make the right decision for one of our dogs, in terms of short-term benefits from invasive surgery vs. on-going pain and suffering for our 4 legged family member. I've never had a vet help us through such an emotionally troubling time as these people did, I cannot emphasize that enough. Read Less

Cross Timbers is where I've taken all of my dogs. Several years ago I had two labs and one of my labs had constant ear infections. We always took them to Cross Timbers for treatment and were pleased with the care he received. I have found that this clinic is great as long as you have the money up front to pay! They will not help you in the event of an emergency. Years later, I have a new puppy that likes to eat rocks. He had surgery, which we paid for in full, and then 4 weeks later he ate another. Our only option to pay the $1600 surgery was to pay half down and the rest in 45 days. Really? I just paid you $1600 four weeks ago and that's the best you can do? Or our other option was "You can take him to the Emergency Hospital where they have CareCredit but it's triple the price". We ended up taking our baby to Durant, OK where the surgery cost us $369. The vet was waiting on him when we got there and got him right in. He was much more about customer service and taking care of the animals than getting the money! It's very disappointing as this vet is right around the corner from my house and have a lot of dogs I foster for a rescue that need vet care at times.Read Less

Too many vets here, you never seem to get the same one.  Some are nice, but one is extremely rude and overbearing.   Recently I called to get my cat in who was in a great deal of pain.  Long story short, this vet very rudely tells me my cat needs to be put down and send her head to Austin, to have her tested for rabies.  I try to explain she does not have rabies, but has been injured, you could see her injury.  This Vet would not look at her and would not listen to me, she just proceeded to be very rude.  I told her she was not killing my cat and I left.  I called Prosper Trail Animal Hospital and she took her in and immediately started her on antibiotics because she had been bitten by a snake.  No rabies!   I would NOT take your animals here ever. The vet assistants were very nice, however the D.V.M was very rude. She told me that I needed to strongly recommend that I make my puppy a in-door dog, and after I told her I was not able to do that she would not let it go and gave me a rude smart remark! Then gave my puppy 4 medications that he did NOT need because all his test were NEGITIVE, but gave me the meds anyways! They are very slow and rude and WILL TRY TO RACK UP YOUR BILL AS HIGH AS THEY CAN MAKE IT!!!!!! Read Less
