Our dog has been seeing Dr. Gage for 10 years. Dr. Gage and her staff are sweet and gentle with her. They are knowledgeable and focused on quality of life for the animals under their care. At the same time, they are sympathetic to the concerns of the pet owner such as price of care and wanting to hold on as long as possible to a beloved family member. I do not recommend this vet. I don't want to speak ill of anyone, but I will say that this vet makes claims that are untrue regarding frequency of required vaccinations (for example Bortadella vaccines are to be given annually, she requires you do them every 6 months) and medication storage (she claims other pharmacies cannot be trusted to keep meds at proper temperatures). For these reasons would not take my pet back to her. I believe her policies on vaccinations and requirement that you must purchase medications from her clinic are simply to force her clients to buy their pets medications from her. It should be noted that her prices are nearly twice as high as any other vet or pharmacy in the area. Read Less

My experience with this vet was not great. I doubt this review will have an impact on her practices since she has no web presence or even email. I don't recommend her as she will not admit an error, inflates prices, refuses to allow her clients the use of an outside pharmacy, and is very abusive and condescending if you ask her about her policies. She does genuinely care about animals and I do not think she would do anything that would harm an animal. It is her office policies that put me off. Read Less

Not a fan of this Veterinary practice.  She is very in your face, rushes through talking to you about anything, she speaks very fast and has a manic, chaotic energy about her.  Personally, I don't respond well to this personality type. Additionally, she is not very knowledgable about modern business operating systems or just basic things like email. If you want pet records you have to make a special trip to her office.  She has the highest prices in the area and refuses to let approve her clients to use 1800 pet meds or the like and her prices on medications are extremely high.  She also uses volunteers as assistants and none of them ever seem to know anything about basic office procedures, my pet's medical records,  They never answer the phone, they close early most days and they require vaccinations every 6 months versus every 12 months. I met Dr. Gage for the first time today during an emergency situation after my regular vet suggested her clinic to me. I was having one of those days where everything that could go wrong, went wrong and the worst part of it all was my kitten, Batman, being injured. Dr. Gage took us in right away and quickly started trying to asses my cats condition. My poor kitten was very far from the best patient but, together Dr. Gage and her Vet Tech, Jose, patiently worked together to safely care for him. I am so impressed with this pairs teamwork and obvious love for their job. It's not about the money, or the business. We were all truly there in that room to make the best medial decision for my little guy. I found out about Dr Gage through an unfortunate incident and must say that she is a fortunate find! Their assistance through a tragedy led me to take my own dog in for routine vaccinations. This was the first veterinary visit that my dog left from with a wagging tail. The way they care for the animals is simply amazing. You can tell that the staff loves animals, and they do everything possible to make the animal relaxed and comfortable. When recommending various products to improve my dog's life, Dr Gage explained the benefits and drawbacks of various products and why she would or would not give it to her own pets. The exam was thorough, and I even learned a few things about my dog that I never knew before. I highly recommend Dr Gage, especially now that she is my dog's regular vet! Read Less

I was a customer here for 2 years, for the most part they did a good job during that time with diagnoses ect..  Their communication skills need work. I would call and talk on the phone and get told one thing about treatment, then call back or come in and get a completely different story. I dealt with it because I liked the treatment ultimately they would provide, however after yet again another miscommunication regarding refills of antibiotics  I was told when I needed them filled we needed to do another visit, and now blood test to diagnose something that they had already diagnosed I questioned by that was needed and pushed back on them based on our last conversation. First they tell me my dog has a uterine infection when I bring her in for examination then when I call for a refill on the antibiotics I am told the antibiotics were for something else not the infection, then they backtrack and say but they still need to see my dog again before giving her any more antibiotics although that is the exact opposite of what I was told would happen when I brought her in. Due to that I was met outside the office by there secretary, told a lie about having an unfriendly dog in the front office, told to find a new vet and they would even fill the medicine for my dog's back pain that I have been getting for a couple of years. It is obviously time to move on. In short if you can take the inconsistencies they provide good care in between all the miscommunication. Read Less

Dr. Gage and her staff are AMAZING! I have been taking my bulldog to them since she was a puppy. We always enjoy visiting with them and they are incredibly friendly and kind. It is obvious that they really love the animals that come through their doors. We wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. We lucked out and found a gem! Read Less

Simply the most caring vet and staff I've ever come accross.  I have 7 dogs and 2 fosters right now.  My dogs are my kids.  I tried several vets in town before finding Dr. Gage and Running Paws.  I won't take my babies anyplace else.  Dr Gage is fantastic. Read Less
