I Currently have my baby being cared for by this hospital. The Staff and doctors are both amazing. They really care about your pets and are definitely on top of things in an emergency. I would recommend this vet hospital to anyone that needs emergency care. I have called several times to check on my pup as he is hospitalized and they Are very friendly every time I call. They get on the phone and explain everything to me in detail as to what is going on. Again these people are amazing and really care about animals! If there was a zero star rating that is what I would be doing. The individuals at this location have literally no beside manner nor any care of animals. A strong drive for profit and desire not to work seems more adequate for this company. I was informed that my dogs needed to be euthanized because it was the right thing to do and I needed to think of the quality of life for them. I was informed that one of my babies would need a great deal of work and it would cost every bit of 15K$ or more and that from a previous incident with another animal it was not likely that my baby would make it through. Now while I get she was injured and having the hind sight I do now the facility could have handled the situation better. There could have been options provided to us other than the two which were give up a large amount of money and we still won't do anything or put her down. Fyi no payment options available either. I can say they literally care nothing about the animal! As for my other baby we were told she would need oral surgery to determine what was occurring but that it was best to put her down. It is strongly felt that decision was brought to us because of her breed which is discriminatory. They were our babies our kids and I wish I would have read the reviews before I had made a decision to even go there much less listen to the incompetent staff. Neither of these animals should have needed to be put down. One had an open wound on the leg which if it couldn't be stitched up amputation could have been an option that we would have taken. The other had what appeared to be small puncture wounds from teeth on her gums and once again could have been handled differently. They just kept saying it could get infected and wasn't worth trying to do. Scare tatics!! Also mind you I don't know anyone who has large amounts of money just lying around! When it came to eithanization they were still harsh... let's charge you a large amount of money for this option too! I just wish I could go back in time these were my kids and they cared nothing about them only there bottom line. Shame on you! Read Less

I refuse to go back there as well as let anyone I know take their loved ones there. As before mentioned they definitely only care about money. My baby yoshi had an injured leg and I’ll be honest it wasn’t pretty but was there even a mention of surgery or amputation? No said only hope is to youthanize. My sweetheart akira had injuries to the head and while quite a few I’ve had my boy Jupiter shot in head by 7mag lost half his head but vet saved him. But no these criminals only wanted to put her down due to fact she was a pit bull. Do not ever take your pet to Lake Ray Hubbard hospital it’s off of Beltline an 30 in mesquite there a fukn rip off !!!! I brought my dog across Tx to a vet in Harlingen Tx an there result were unbelievable totally different from Lake Ray Hubbard hospital in Dallas they said I might want to consider amputation of his leg I was like wtf hell no... I got a call at 3 am with horrible news saying he need surgery an test an basically excuses that made me feel like they didn’t want ...to help my dog it wasn’t like I wasn’t going to pay then they hit with the financial part an I know it’s business for them an nothing personal but they wanted 4500 upfront on top of 1400 I already had payed an I was still going to owe 4000 I was in a situation where I just wanted to save my dog that I was willing to do whatever it took !!! Not once did they make me feel like there was hope it was a horrible experience at that place after talking with a few friends I found out that it wasn’t just me that visited lake Ray Hubbard animal hospital with similar outcomes Those friends took there pets else where today they are healthy an alive I drove 9 hours over night to bring him for a second opinion an the results were unbelievable the vet told me nothing was wrong with him he would not need surgery nor nothing else but medication an always cleaning his bandage omg I cryd of happiness I couldn’t believe what I was hearing basically the vet said I don’t know how they have a hospital open an running smh !!! lord thank you for showing me the way ... We won't be going back there again. They wanted $1,000 up front just to even look at our pup. Not including the treatment that would be needed. We paid for What Little Services already rendered and went somewhere else. Even though they were trying to scare tactics that our dog wasn't going to live if we took her somewhere else. We found somebody who not only nursed our dog back to excellent health. But, a 2 night stay, antibiotics, meds, special food required, labs, x-rays, and her IV bags only cost us $460. And they let us pay in 2 segments while we waited on funds to be released. Lake Ray Hubbard vet clinic is a bunch of crooks. They Care solely about money, and not helping animals. Read Less

It was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do letting my Gidget go. Y’all were so wonderful to us and took great care of both of us for a little over the last year. Dr Dennett was absolutely amazing, Megan too! I truly wish you could be my vet for our future family member. The staff that works here truly truly loves the animals That come Here. So my daushound was bit by another dog, I didn’t have a problem with the staff, or the service, I payed quite a bit of money for him to have surgery, and they DO NOT help you out if you cannot afford the cost, there are no payment plans or anything else. We are very sad at the passing of our Annabel, but I wanted to thank the ladies who cared for her. They were professional and empathetic. They called twice during the 2+ hour surgery with complete updates, but unfortunately, the internal damage was beyond repair. The people and place are amazing, unfortunately my dog had passed while in route to them and when I walked in they were so caring and helpful in my time of need. Took my puppy here the other night after he got some cuts from barb wire(around 2am, long story). I appreciate them being up front with prices. They gave me an estimate, and while it wasn't cheap, everything on there was necessary(I am an RN). Reading the review underneath mine is disappointing to see that she thinks they are all about the money. I did not get that feeling at all while I was there. Just like any business, how would they stay open(24/7 at that) if they did free or discounted services.. AND it's an EMERGENCY room, It's going to cost more. Have you been to a human ER without insurance? Let the ER disappear and see how you feel when you have no where to go with an emergency. Then you will be complaining that they aren't here! My beloved cat, Tommy, was transferred here from our Vet because he was very critical and needed overnight care. Dr. Stratmann and the entire staff were very comforting, professional, honest, and proficient. Unfortunately, after much consideration and discussion with Dr. Statmann, we made a quality of life decision to put down Tommy. I'm so thankful we were in the best of hands during that difficult time, and Dr. Stratmann made the transition as smoothly as possible. My kitten was having a very hard time breathing and I took her there for help. She was not doing well and I had to end up euthanizing her which broke every part of me and my daughter's heart in that moment I know Sophie is out of misery now but it was very hard for me and they were very understanding the whole time. I also just got a card from them today as well with everyone there signing it which really meant alot and they expressed their sympathy for our loss. They didn't have to do that but they did. I've always heard horror stories about emergency vet hospitals. The staff here is wonderful. They took care of our dog, advised us on the which tests to run first in order to get the most information for the least money, and gave us the results with a lot of compassion. Went in they welcome me ...so instead of taking care of my bby this girl starts asking me all kinds of questions. When i just told her my dog just got ran over and instead of stabilizing him ,she questions and gives me a quote. After that they go ahead and do x-rays ,give me a bad chance of survival of my dog so it takes time for me to process this. I didnt want him to keep suffering so decide to put him down. Got there at 7 didnt get it done till 9:16.Also they asked me if my dog bit me i said yes ,"he is showing me his pain". So they asked me to sign a rabies submission paper to test him for rabies.the medical assistant walks out and then comes back in with a written letter on back saying i wont get my dogs head back for the reason they send head to a lab to test brain. I am very dissapointed why they cant be upfront honest..my dog didnt bite nobody.i wanted answers and they could not answer them right.i understand when the state protocol but my dog didnt attack nobody.They also made it seem like money was an issue.They dont care about your pets. I had to bring my 15 year old chihuahua here because she was holding her neck funny and backing up. Turns out she was having disc issues in her neck and back. After careful consideration she was put on an anti inflammatory, muscle relaxer, and pain meds. We had to limit her jumping also. She is doing so much better!! I have been seeing Dr. Dennett. He is absolutely wonderful!! He is very thorough and truly cares. I have had several follow up appointments with him and he's the best!! I wish he would see my dog as her regular veterinarian. The clinic is clean and updated and has experienced vets who obviously know what they are doing. My 2 year old husky was found in the corner of the yard shaking so we rushed him to the clinic. They took us to the exam room and looked at Keno and said that he was obviously anemic and need to pump some fluids through him. After waiting for sometime the doctor came in to tell us what Keno was gonna go through. He then told us the prices which was a minimum of $1,140! We had a hard time thinking of what to do because my family has a hard time of making money, but Keno was part of our family so we went through with it. He stayed at the clinic for another 6 hours, and when they called for pick up, he was a whole other dog. He was responding well again, waging his tail, and his head was up and looking around again. The doctor then told us directions and what to look out for just in case he needs to come back. My dog suffered a compound fracture on a Friday night after going to emergency clinic that could only provide pain meds we spent hours on the phone and had vets making calls on our behalf we were told that Lake Ray Hubbard Emg had a surgeon available on call. After hauling our suffering dog 30 minutes away we were helped by a nice and professional vet who did not have expertise to do the surgery and agreed immediate surgery was needed. After saying they called their on call surgeon which I seriously doubt even happened we were told they didn't deem this an emg and for $2k plus they would drug our dog until Tuesday until a specialist was available. Glad to report while sitting in their office we got a surgeon on the phone and sent them medical report and X-rays and our dog was then operated on the same day. The majority of so called emg clinics advertise they are 24x7 however in 99.9% of the cases no surgeon is available from Friday until Monday and they take every calendar holiday off so they will unethically let your dog suffer and play on your emotions for thousands. The veterinarian and one of the vet techs that were working when I took my lab puppy (1 year old) at 11 pm for a visit were very rude an unprofessional. I took my puppy in because her suture site that she had done 3 days prior to get soayed was bleeding and looked infected. My dog is a rescue dog and she is scared of people she doesn't know or trust, ans obviously terrified of being in a vet. She was shaking and whining in pain. The Te h dragged her back before letting me explain that she is skittish and tries to run if she is scared. They refused to let me help go back with her to leAd her or help calm her down. After hearing whimpering and loud yelps she came running in the front lobby limping ans crying. The dr Sarah Stratmann came out very agruvated and annoyed. She said she refused to treat my puppy bc she was scared she might fear bite her. She also said she wouldn't be able to even look as her suture site and that she believed this dog wil bitee andt kids. This dog has never bitten anyone and loves my kids and I. She is the sweetest most loyal dog I've ever had. She is a 50lbs female lab puppy. The. The dr says to me and I quote "she recommends me thinking about outing her down as she believes her quality of life wouldnt be good if she is scared of strangers" ans that I really need to think about doing this. She obviously has no desire or compassion to help animals and shouls t definitely not be in this profession if you are scared of a shaking, sad, scared puppy. Would she put her kids down if they were scared to go get surgery ans shots at their doctors? Because she did not clean the wounds and assess them ans we had to wait to go back to the normal vet the next morning. The infection has now spread to innER abdominal wall from the outter suture area and requires now major surgery again and lots of meds. I was also charged a full exam fee for no exam at all. The tech was very rude as well. She didn't answer any of my questions and was very short and pushy. I save animals lives I don't kill animals especially ones who have had a rough start to life ans a timid and trying to gain trust of humans. This lady needs to be removed from veterinary EM regency medicone. Thank God she isn't in the real medicile field with children or adults. I took my chihuahua there Tuesday night after he was mauled by two of my other dogs. They patched up my chihuahua with tape, gave him fluids and an antibiotic shot and told me for further treatment I would need to pay them $2,941.45. After telling them that I couldn't pay this, the vet's demeanor changed and she became curt, discourteous and insulting. My chi has very bad teeth as he is 13 and his teeth haven't been professionally cleaned. I have a hard time having any of my dog's teeth professionally cleaned as I lost one of my most precious chihuahua's during a cleaning. Her name was Willow and she never woke up following the procedure. She was 4. Hazlewood was quick to exclaim that if my chi bit anyone - they would wind up in the hospital because of the bacteria and to ask me if I considered Euthanasia after I told her that I couldn't afford this treatment. I found her to be cold and unsympathetic not unlike Kristen Linsey, the Brenham, TX so-called vet who bragged about killing her neighbor's cat with a bow and arrow and was fired - or Dr. Josef Mengele. I think that this practice is in cahoots with Care Com and is lining their pockets with the money of grieving pet owners. I took my little guy to a wonderful, experienced, compassionate, thorough and professional Sulphur Springs DVM who examined him thoroughly and told me that he will be very sore but will surely recover. The total cost was $49.95 and she cut his toenails for free. He is doing great.Read Less

Its a very good emergency center to our pets. Its always opened and I went there many times with my dogs. Vets who work here are extremely professional and you can trust your baby to them. Prepare to pay lots of money. I meant lots. But who cares about money when your beloved pet needs medical help. I also like how clean this place is. Spotless. This is the worst place on earth .we took our pup in and because we did not have more than 100 dollars they would do nothing to help our pup we were told to take our pup home and watch him die and that is what we had to do .... They don't have the time for your pet, unless its life is danger. All the want is to wait in a room and wait while they are checking your pet in a back room. After of waiting 3 hrs, they told me how much I need it to pay for their services, it was over $100.00 dlls and all they prescribe was, get a load of this, FISH OIL, for an infection my dog had on one of hers paws. The lady vet had a big college degree hanging on of the waiting rooms that is good for nothing. I got very upset because they made me sign a paper before they can even take a look at my dog. In other words, THEY WANT YOUR MONEY AND NOTHING ELSE. beware, before you go to this animal emergency hospital, because all they want is your wallet. never going back to this place. Read Less

My wife just took our cat up there. I'm not happy. At this time. Our cat got a cut on the back of her right leg. It has became infected. To shave her leg and lance it open. They try to drain it. And pack the cut. They told my wife it was $288 dollars. That's alittel to much 21st to much. I had a Brown recluse bite. On my finger and I had it lanced and packed. It did not cost that dang much. We sadly had to say goodbye to our sweet Daisy on 10/6/15. We had her cremated so we could keep her ashes somewhere at our new home, that she never had the chance to enjoy in her pretty shaded. When I went to pick up Daisy's ashes I didn't expect to treated so kindly, with so much compassion, and care. It wasn't just a "package" I was picking up, it was a loved one and that's how it was treated. Very thankful for the staff and the doctors here. Daisy was in very good hands here, and now she is peacefully at the rainbow bridge no longer suffering. Thank you for your kindness and care. I took my 3 year old pitt/lab mix in because of a copperhead bite on her nose. I was scared to death. They took very good care of Harper and eased my mind - I was a total mess! I brought my 2 dogs in because they got into some sugar free gum with zylitol. I knew it was toxic so I brought them in right away. They took great care with them both.
