I took my dog in to get her cherry eyes out and she comes home with a big wound on her chest and come to find out they didn’t even take her cherry eyes out because they are ALREADY back!!!! And that surgery is not cheap so I practically paid for nothing!! Trying to find a way to get my money back. THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!! They tried to say the wound was from 2 weeks prior… sorry but that wound was not there when I took my dog in!! I know what my dogs chest looked like before I even took her in! Read Less

Caring, knowledgeable doctors and staff. I have used MVS for nearly twenty years for my animals. Drs. Scheele and Alderson have seen them through normal vaccination and minor health visits to serious illness. Both the doctors, the vet techs and the entire staff have always been very caring about my pets. I especially like that they will always go beyond and above in explaining clearly what the problem might be and offering options. They have done extra research and shared internet links giving additional information. When I had to put one of my cats to sleep, they were very sensitive during and after the process. I later received a sympathy donation card in his name from the clinic. That's the type of people they are. Read Less

When I moved to Midland back in 2011 I needed to find a vet for my dogs.  I had loved the vet I used in Houston and I was so worried I wouldn't find a vet I liked as well here in Midland.  Well, I needn't have worried.  I found Dr. Alderson at MVS, and he's terrific!  I have a lot of dogs so we are at MVS quite a few times throughout each year for normal vet care (i.e. vaccinations, etc.).  In addition, my dogs are getting older so quite a few of them are starting to have some geriatric health issues, which means even more visits to the vet.  So I'm very familiar with Dr. Alderson and the rest of the staff at MVS, and I am happy to report that they are all very caring and professional.  Dr. Alderson always takes the time to explain to me in detail the specifics of my dog's health and condition.  He also takes the time to explain to me the various treatment options available anytime one of my dogs has a health problem.  Dr. Alderson has a very caring attitude and I believe he provides my dogs the absolute best medical care available.  I highly recommend MVS, and especially Dr. Alderson. After our vet retired, we went to MVS with our newly adopted dog. We were very pleased with their service, professionalism and scheduling. Soon after our first visit, our dog was injured and required several visits and we were very pleased with the care received. We are new to town and knew this vet was near us so we always figured this would be our vet. Well, our cat got sick last night so we waited for them to open and called promptly on time. I spoke with the receptionist explaining that our cat was lethargic, vomiting, and had bloody, runny stools. She said the quickest we could see the vet was 4:30 PM and wouldn't see walk-ins. I quickly decided to go elsewhere. I found their lack of urgency disturbing. I can only fathom that their practice must be like a very busy pet consigneir service in that they cannot be bothered with emergency service. They did offer to give me the number of another vet clinic, but this did not sit well. If I had called for shots, I could understand making an appointment as that is not a possible emergency. However, it is conceivable that our cat could be dead before the late afternoon appointment. This is my experience and may not be indicative of their practice, but the way I feel about them I won't be finding out. Maybe they should consider reviewing their given policy. As I sit in the waiting room of another clinic with fantastic reviews (to include a new patient/client packet to include a stamped and addressed customer satisfaction survey) who agreed to work us in, I am pleased that there are still businesses who take customer service seriously.Read Less
