Midlothian Veterinary Clinic

Our dog had been sick for a couple of days and was experiencing abdominal issues when we took him in. The staff was very friendly and you could tell they genuinely care about animals. Our dog had a rare issue requiring exploratory surgery, but Dr. Tipton was a rock star - he figured it out and literally saved our dog's life. His follow up was amazing and he spent time talking to us and making sure we were fully informed. Big thanks to the entire team over there for taking care of our dog and being absolute professionals. And for a surgery and two nights of monitoring, the price was very fair and reasonable (we were quoted a minimum of double the price at another vet center). Read Less

OVER PRICED, and some of the women are stuck up and rude. Also if your pet has surgery they will not keep you updated on what is going on during the process of the procedure like they say they would on drop off . All they will do is tell you what time to pick them up. SO I ADVISE YOU DO NOT GO THERE AND TAKE YOUR LOVE ONES SOMEWHERE ELSE THAT CARES MORE THAN JUST MONEY TO THEIR EYES!!!!!!!! Read Less

I will never take my animals anywhere else!!! We followed one of the office staff from another facility and fell in love with this facility. The doctors are very knowledgeable and kind and the office staff makes you feel right at home and not a burden. I've seen the doctors personally every visit and they call personally with important information. Very pleased!Read Less

My family has been taking our pets here for five years. This vet clinic is staffed with some of the most kind and knowledgable staff I've ever met. They work hard to make sure every pet is comfortable and safe; and they work tirelessly to help with any problem.If your animal has to stay at the clinic, they're always willing to find time to let you see your fur babies and to call and tell you how everything is going. The veterinarians are very kind and explain everything they do and every problem in layman's terms so that you know exactly what's going on.This clinic makes even scary visits more manageable because of how kind and professional they are. My two dogs have been seen here for issues as simple as shots to as complicated as eye surgery and I have always felt like they were given the very best and most thorough care. Dr. Tipton never makes me feel rushed and has always been willing to answer questions no matter how many I have. The rest of the office staff are kind and efficient and treat my babies like their own. They are always busy, but that never stops them from giving you the time and attention you deserve. I also didn't like the way I was treated at the front desk. I have been with Dr Wofford for almost 20 years and was alway welcomed and could take my pets in at a moments notice. His staff was wonderful. And their hours. Closed on Sat, Sun, Tue. And closes at 4 on Friday. Sounds like a company with that doesn't care enough. Guess we better hope our animals do not get sick at 5:00 on Friday. Read Less

Dr Tipton is a wonderful veterinarian and a very kind man. However, the front desk ladies are atrocious! I have been coming here for years now and have always had a great experience until today! After a weekend of my dog giving birth to 7 puppies and one still born, there were ongoing complications with birthing. She had ongoing diarrhea and bloody stool . I called the office all weekend with no answer since they were closed and no emergency number. So I decided to bring her in at 8am Monday morning. (Opening time) After explaining the emergency with young lady at the counter, she still made me wait for 30 mins before they would check me in. With an empty waiting room mind you. Once 30 mins was up I asked if they were ready to see me and the young lady said she would get me checked in reminding me it was only 8:29.. 1 minut early! However, a man walked in who was not a patient who brought his dog without any appointment. His dog was sick and they saw him immediately without making him wait at all after making me wait 30 mins and more even when my dog was bleeding, had black explosive diarrhea and I a patient had been there 30 mins before this man.. Unbelievable and unacceptable! I walked out taking my dog to an emergency vet where they saw her immediately and after a x-ray they found all sorts of issues with her including more remains of an unborn puppy. She was extremely dehydrated from all of the diarrhea so they quickly got a her rehydrated, gave her two shots and put her on three antibiotics. My advice is avoid Midlothian Vet. Again though the doctors there are great, it's just not worth the unbelievably horrible service the front desk staff provide while the doctors are away. Read Less

Today our Ruger had a seizure I called the good people at Midlothian Vet Clinic they said bring her right in. They were awesome & told what we needed to watch for and what to do if happened again . Drew her blood & now we wait. Remi will be going in to be spayed end of the month & king is next in line . I recommend them highly Read Less

Thank you for rushing my Sassy in to surgery and staying late to do it. Especially after a different vet said they needed more than double what you charged up front or they could put her to sleep. 45 minute drive is nothing to have her life saved and to have her cared for like yalls own child. I've been taking our Bailey here since we got her last October. The doctor and the techs are super sweet. The staff in the front are always understanding if for some reason we have to reschedule. I usually go to 14th street vet, but on a few weeks when Dr. Rook and staff were closed for vacation on august 12. My 14 year old lab was ill. My Riley had been sick for 6 months. He was getting old could not walk much, or eat. These good folks let us take Riley in at 6:30p. Unfortunately, we lost our Lab on this day. He was too sick, and needed make his way to the Rainbow bridge. The staff let us stay with my baby until he reached the rainbow bridge. The staff took extra care in making sure my Riley returned to me, in such a heart felt way. I even received a sympathy card. Thank you. I miss Riley, and the sadness remains. The staff here was amazing, so friendly and helpful. Walked in without a appointment and they got me in right away. My male cat was having trouble urinating and they got him in immediately and started treatment on him. After 24hrs in the hospital he came back happy and healthy! I have known some terrible vets, good vets and some GREAT vets. Dr. Tipton is a GREAT vet. He listens to the owners concerns, gives a thorough examination, and truly cares about each individual animal and their owner. When looking for a clinic for your beloved pet, one should look for cleanliness, supportive staff, a clinic that answers your calls, if a message is left- they return your calls promptly, they call to see how your pet is doing, and your pet is treated like family. Dr.Tipton is wonderful he really cares about your pets! I have two Chow mixes and one of them recently got very ill and he took him right away and kept him there in his care for a couple days to make sure he was going to be ok with fluids and proper medicine he is doing much better! Best Vet clinic I have EVER been to!! These doctors really care about your pets. Pricing is extremely reasonable, half the cost of these Big city vets.They don't push all the extras on you like most vets do nowadays! The office is clean, the staff is very friendly, and they run very efficiently . I've had the pleasure of dealing with both the Vets here, and they are both very knowledgeable, professional, and extremely personable! I don't live in Midlothian, but it's sure worth the drive. I walked into this clinic without an appointment, even though they were busy they made me feel very welcome and had my pet in a room within a matter of minutes. How your staff treat people should be monitored. People are just now starting to vote with their feet and drive a little further to get treated a whole lot nicer. Dr. Tipton's focus is on making money and he doesn't spend time thinking about anything else. Meanwhile his staff is making long time clients very unhappy and they are leaving in large numbers. By the time he realizes there is a problem his practice will be down by 20% to 30% . Remember word of mouth advertising works both ways, and the word is getting out! Read Less

Dr. Wofford was a little old-fashioned, but all around a good, caring vet. The new guy would have been better off going into politics than medicine. After bringing my dog there, I got the impression that he's more concerned about his image and making money than people's pets. His assistant contradicted that impression however. For starters, she was wearing a filthy, ripped up, ill-fitting polo shirt. I've polished my car with shirts that looked better. She was surly and ill-mannered, perhaps a bit put out that she did all the work while he just popped in our room for approximately 30 seconds, just long enough to make an offensive joke, call my dog by the wrong breed and leave. If I'm paying almost 40 bucks for a 15 minute office visit, I'd like to get something more than a minute with a doctor, 5 with a tech and an hour in the waiting room listening to the receptionist snipe at people and send text messages. This is the greatest vet clinic we have ever used. We have 3 English Bulldogs and Dr. Wofford has taken care of them since day one including the 2 before them. The office is clean, the staff is efficient and they really seem to have compassion for you and your pets. We moved away and have been driving back and forth for 2 hours to bring our babies back here but with fuel the way it is now we are being forced to find a new clinic.
