This is our preferred vet clinic. We have never had an issue and they are affordable. They have walk-ins from 8-11 on weekdays. Our dog is easily nervous and over time they have learned how to approach her and she does so well with them. Read Less

Can't give the 5 they deserve because of the no appointment policy. Many hours wasted waiting for simple shots and medications. They need to correct this, they have lost many patients because of this. Remember, you may be busy, but if you only lose a patient a day you are busy moving backwards. Love this vet office. The staff is friendly and the doctors take time to explain things to you. We brought our newly adopted puppy in for vaccines and two days later found out she had parvo. She was hospitalized there for about a week and they were amazing! The staff went above and beyond to make sure our pup was taken care of and we knew what was going on. I was able to visit everyday and she had a full recovery. Won't be taking my dogs anywhere else.Read Less

Great clinic. They have appointment times or walk in times everyday, which was great because I had an urgent need. The receptionist whose name I can't remember was so sweet!  She ran out to help me with my dog when I showed up even though she was busy. Everyone was pleasant and thoughtful, even though they were busy. I had the feeling they really cared about me and my dogs. A lady walked in, who obviously had a pet that passed or was very ill. They offered to bring him in, and one of the girls got up and hugged the crying lady. The care they showed was encouraging. Very poor vet clinic. Our family dog was simply drugged with numerous pain killers for 3 weeks without a clear diagnosis ever being given! Were told to keep administering the drugs and see if dog gets better! Needless to say, she did not and had to be taken to another competent vet clinic with a vet that truly cares! Read Less

Three years ago, I moved to NB and my pug stopped walking with her back legs all together.  Her entire young life, I had been told she had hip displasia.  When I took her to Fischer, within an hour I was given a true prognosis with X-rays and a check up.  She had suffered spinal chord damage because of a misdiagnosed slipped disc from another vet.  The doctor was patient and spoke to me in a manner that was calming.  They put her on pain medicine (as needed), and suggested where I could buy a doggie wheelchair.  Six months after that my other pug started to display some really bizarre symptoms.  Immediately, they were able to ascertain that she was, more than likely, suffering from a brain tumor, meaning I had to make a big decision. The doctor (a different one) was loving and hugged me after taking my dog's body away. The prices are always reasonable, but the part that makes this place amazing is the CARE.  They truly do CARE!  I now live in San Antonio and drive to NB to continue my pug's care and boarding. She loves this place and feels like a superstar! Read Less

Very friendly staff. We like that we can take our dogs there without an appointment. They set the expectation that you may have to wait to be seen. I love this veterinary facility. The staff is so kind and compassionate. You can tell they really care about animals (and people!) I wouldn't hesitate to bring any animal to them. I absolutely love. I went in on 12/12 at 8am & the Vet & Tessa the tech were so kind & carrying despite my wild Lola jumping all over the place. The vet was very thorough about my dogs condition answered all my questions and treated my pup like family. Deff recommend this place. I called so many different vets in the area and no one seemed to care about my kitten Oliver swollen leg. I almost gave up until I spoke to the receptionist whom made me feel like they were going to do all they could for him. I bring him in and the staff were more concerned with Oliver's well being then racking up his bill. They helped me out with meeting my budget and then some... WOW! this place was fantastic ! Today was our first visit & i just got back from taking my cat there for just a general check up with the vet and his recommended shots. it all took less than an hour! the prices were reasonable, they take walk-ins, and all the staff were so nice and helpful. The vet that took care of us, Dr. Almany, was so helpful and seemed to genuinely care about my concerns. I would recommend this clinic for anyone looking for good service, kind staff, and for reasonable prices, if you are looking for all this, Fischer Vet Clinic is for sure the place! :) I am most definitely making this my go-to vet clinic.Read Less

This is honestly a truly great clinic. I recently had to let go of my best friend and they were so sweet and understanding. They even tried steroids and monitoring to see if we could get his spinal function back and when it did not work they refused to let us pay for them. The cost for his stay, euthanasia, and gorgeous urn box was incredibly reasonable and they even sent a card with the box. I am very impressed at the level of care and thoughtfulness the staff at Fischer Vet clinic gave my old girl, Candy. We adopted her just three months ago and tried to give her a great end of life, we didn't know how fast she would go downhill. When we were visiting friends in New Braunfels and she needed attention, Fischer Vet staff were very helpful and saw her right away. Unfortunately she was too far gone and they helped her pass to the rainbow bridge. What touched me the most was receiving the sweet card signed by the staff and a special paw print from our precious family member that I will cherish. Absolutely the Best!! I rescued a Mama giving birth on Christmas Day. She had 15 puppies. I found another foster Mama to help. She had me meet her at Fisher Animal Hospital. The staff immediately greeted us and help take Mary the pups into care. Mary has a long road of recovery. But with 2 foster Mom's and the Veterinary care at Fisher. Excellent vet clinic!!  I highly recommend.  I brought my dog Daisy (a foster fail/rescue) here for heartworm treatment after SA Pets Alive couldn't treat her (they were super disorganized and never had a vet or the right medicine we needed).  I am happy to say she is heartworm negative!  They took excellent care of her and remembered us by name.  Daisy still needs some training but they praise her and give her treats for being a "good girl."  I was also given a Good Samaritan discount when Dr.Fisher heard she was a rescue.  They are very reasonably priced as well, and we will take all of our animals here from now on.  I really can't say enough good things about the staff and vets. Thank you Fischer Veterinary for taking care of our big "baby" (a 6 year old lab!) From the very beginning we were treated wonderfully by Lee at the front desk. She has helped advise us on when the best times would be to bring our dog in for our visits. We have not ever had to wait very long any of the times that we were there. The first time we saw Dr. Aven who seemed to genuinely care about our dog. He was very nice. Our lab had a mebomian gland cyst on his eye and we tried antibiotics and steroid to shrink it.Sadly it didn't shrink. For the next visit, we saw Dr. Almany and her assistant, Alex, who were both amazing!!! My shy, scared dog felt comfortable with them both. Dr. Almany wasted no time to get the adenoma off so it would not ruin his cornea. We have found our new vet for life!!! They were very reasonabley priced. So glad we chose Fischer Veterinary because they went out of their way to take care of our baby! We are especially grateful that they were able to save his eyesight. Best vet in New Braunfels.  Dr Avon (Aven?) is my favorite, but everyone there is great.  The head front desk lady is a bit no-nonsense, but very helpful and professional.These guys have done me right time and again.  I once brought in an injured stray and they fixed her up at half price for me.  I brought in an injured bird and they did the works for free.  I would recommend these folks above any others, anywhere.  And they are very reasonable in pricing.  I easily paid 3 times as much in New Orleans. You people that give this place of death good reviews are suffering from normalcy bias and stockholm syndrome. I was too until my cat who was just looked at by them 2 day previous was just barely alive on Sunday. had to take her to the emergency cash only clinic. to stabilize her was going to be 1800 until monday so I could get her back to fischer. He was amazed that he even let her go home. So he knows NOTHING about felines. I lost 2 cats this past week and the only common thing was they were both checked out to be ok by this place. Honestly the best clinic ever!!! Every time I take buster here all the staff is fun and friendly!! I have a pitbull and most people judge or get scared but they are unbelievably nice to him and do everything they can for him. A week ago my buster got hurt and I had to take him to an emergency vet and had to get surgery that place was terrible so after I took him here and they fixed him up way better and didn't charge me for them fixing his stitches and bandage! They were sympathetic after I told them what happened!! I love Fischer!!Never a wait! Staff is amazing! And they take excellent care of my buster!! Read Less

After adopting my Boxer from the NB Humane Society, I took her to Fischer Vet Clinic for a full exam. The staff was friendly and caring and the Veterinarian with his assistant took the time to let my new, unsure and somewhat frightened pet get to know them and calm her before the exam. It was a pleasant experience for myself and my new pet. We recently moved back into the New Braunfels area and I am so delighted that I am able to take my pet to Fischer again! The Vet's medical knowledge and the staff's level of care offered to myself and my pet is impressive! The clinic is clean and friendly every time I have been there. In the past, when I have told others about some of my experience's with the Clinic I am told I am really lucky to have a clinic that that I can trust. They are not just there to exploit my feelings for my pets, but to give them the genuine care they deserve. They do not recommend a lot of over-the-top treatments or tests, but carefully weigh and consult with me about the direction of care I desire. The staff is very supportive and helpful as well.
