I had my cat spayed and declawed. Dr. Hall refused to send home pain meds and antibiotics. Claiming that she didn't need it. The next day due to her having complications I had to take her to another vet. Since Dr Hall and his staff butchered my baby I paid another veterinary clinic to provide the proper care she needed and am now up to $600 to save her life due the negligence from the Riceland Veterinary. She now has to suffer through 2 more surgeries to resolve her issues. So that's more money to save her life. It's been almost 1 month since she had to endure such horrific treatment from these ppl and she may never be the same physically again. Dr. Rusty is the best. He doesnt have a fancy pancy office so if you looking for a vet with a fancy office with fancy overhead and fancy big bill and fancy bed side manor he not your vet. But he is the BEST VET IN JEFFERSON COUNTY IF NOT TEXAS. He has so much compassion for the animals he treats. He will help you take the best care of your pet if you give your best. He understands shit hapens sometimes and money not always their and he wont take that against you and hit you with and outrageous vet bill bigger than your Doctor bill. But he will treat your pet like he special and the bill is very affordable. How many vets can you call and he answers the phone anytime night or day and that will give you some help over the phone if it is something you can do at home. Last year one of my dogs had a seizure on 4th of July weekend I had never scene one before and was scared. I called him late that night not expecting a call back till maybe Monday. Wrong he called me that night and had me bring him in the next day. I was expecting after hours charges He treated my dog gave him medicine told me what to do and what to look out for. I left confident that I could take care of him and he charge me a regular fee. While I was their a lady came in with her dog from galveston. Her dog got loose on the beach or something and was in bad shape someone hit him or tortured him or something. He waited for that lady to get their from galveston, don't forget it was a holiday weekend. He treated her dog and did not charge her and arm and a leg and a kidney. Rusty is the sweetest vet you will ever meet! He truly cares - whether it's a ferret, a rat, a cow, goat or whatever it is that needs healing. He's simply amazing. He's brilliant.
