Made sure I made an appointment, showed up 1/2 hour early to fill out paper work, my appointment time came and went, and about 45 min later we got seen. But dont be upset about this, I tell you why....these people here care very much for the pets, and they take emergencies very seriously! So after watching the employees and doctors taking in emergencies, it occurred to me....I didn't have an emergency! And I am glad to wait so those precious animals can get the treatment they need! My dog was hit by a truck, so I took him here as it was an emergency. The vets and techs are top tier. They are great listeners, were genuinely concerned for my animal, and effectively treated my dog despite the severity of the injury. They were very patient despite me having a million questions and the bill was not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. As far as the office staff, two of the ladies were a bit grouchy but maybe the facility being extremely busy had something to do with that (stress?). Overall, my dog received quality care for a severe injury at a very affordable price and I could not be more satisfied. I have been going to Angel vets with my dogs since 1994. Staff is excellent and my mini schnauzer who was killed by another dog last year was treated like family. Dr. Andy was wonderful with my fur baby and now that I have another mini schnauzer puppy I feel so comfortable knowing that Dr Andy and Dr Laura treat him wonderfully. When we wait in the lobby as Dr Andy brings other charts to the front if he sees my pup he always greets us and when he sees us he is sure to explain any treatments needed and handles my not so happy puppy with care . I had read previous reviews and figured I could wait 30 minutes to get in for a well priced, good vet appointment. No. I waited an hour past when my appointment was scheduled, just to be told it would "be at least another half hour". There isn't a point in scheduling an appointment here, because you're going to wait an exorbitant amount of time either way. I walked into Angel Vet Clinic the very first time in 1980. There was about 6 years that I went somewhere else, but it was not a quality or care issue. I then went back to Angel in 2006! I have always received quality care for my beloved pets, always been able to call a vet for cares and concerns, and have been through several pet emergencies over the years. Dr. Becky was my friend in school and i was extremely happy to learn she had gone to vet school. She has helped me send several geriatric animals over the Rainbow Bridge with care and compassion and love to try everything we could before letting them go! We even recently had a traumatic accident where our 2 year old Coonhound climbed our fence and got ran over. We thought maybe he would ultimately lose his leg. Thankfully, 8 weeks later we removed the bandage, got off of all meds, and has almost completely healed! Thanks to the work and great communication of Dr. Jeff, Dr. Andrew, and the great techs...we made it through a really bad time! Yes, sometimes the wait is long and the office staff gets stressed, but I know my babies are going to receive quality care when they are seen. I LOVE Angel Veterinary Clinic!Read Less

I've only had small animals (cat; dog) and have come here for years and really appreciate the entire staff, because they really try to help all the animals. I have seen horse stables in the back, but I'm not sure if they take other large animals. Staff is friendly, caring, and will try to answer all your questions. Would recommemd. I have ferrets and Dr. Becky is our Doc. She is very good with their handling and care, I cannot complain about that. My issue with this facility is the wait time. when you make an appointment for a specific time you expect to be seen within a few minutes, one side or the other, of that time. The clinic staff is friendly, prompt and addressed all our concerns. We got in kinda late but the staff took us in as walk-ins, no questions asked. The waiting area is clean, doesn't smell bad at all and they have a separate cat waiting room! The doctor did a thorough, quick exam in a clean exam room and listened to all our concerns and was just overall great. Definitly not as good as they used to be. Their prices will be different for the same diagnosis which makes me not trust them so much. The vets are nice but some staff not so much. I am reluctantly trying to make an appt since they quoted me a cheaper price than my preferred vet, but first time I called i was put on hold right away & stayed there for 11 min. before I finally hung up. Called back 30 mins or so later & told receptionist what I needed & was then put on hold for 18 MINUTES!! Just ridiculous!! So I still haven't been able to schedule an appt. I have used Angel Vet for the last 10 years. Until this past year it has always been a good experience. However, things seem to be going downhill quickly. Last week I called to schedule an appointment for vaccination updates on my dog. I was told that the soonest I could get an appointment was 2 weeks out but that they take walk-ins all day long. Setting aside the absurdity of that concept I agreed to come in as a walk-in. I arrived at 9am, signed in, and got a weight on my dog. Then I sat down to wait. Waiting is exactly what I did for over 2 hours... In that time there were at least 4 people that came in after me and went back before me. At first I thought, "Oh, those must me some of the appointments" but then a man came in that had never been there before, stated that he was a walk-in, and was still taken back before me. When I asked about the extended wait time I was told that there were still three people in front of me even though there was nobody in the waiting area that had been there near as long as I had. I asked if they could at least go ahead and take my dog back for his nail clip and they refused saying that it would be easier to do in the exam room. I tried to explain that he needed to be muzzled for the trim but the tech just walked off. When I finally got back to the room the shots and nail trim (that they had to take him into the back for) took less than 15 minutes. I told the DVM what had happened and she did at least take off the cost of the nail clip. That is the only reason I am moving this from a poor experience to a fair one. In the future I will be skipping the drive all the way across town and using University Small Animal clinic instead.Read Less

I have been using this place for years & I really don't understand what all the fuss is about the wait time. I walked in at 11:15 & I was in a room by 11:30 & done by 11:45. I've scheduled my next appt. & am already back in the car at 11:55. Sounds more like people need to learn what patience is. All staff is very nice & VERY informative.  Their prices are the best in West Texas as far as shots goes also. They also see a wide range of animals also. They are responsible for several animals dying and don't give you credit for your payments when you pay cash because they don't write it down in your chart right then!!!!!! They also write reports for animal control and when the report isn't saying what animal control wants it to say they will rewrite it so it DOES say what animal control wants it to say!!!! I've used Angel Vet all of my 57 years. I love the care that they've given my fur babies & how nicely they've treated me.....however....their wait times are horrendous. It doesn't matter if you're a walk in or have an appointment, you will wait FOREVER. Very nice staff and Vets here. VERY CHAOTIC! Even with an appointment expect it to take a long time. Their offices are quite outdated but they make up for it by being willing to see your pet and offer their care. I tried taking my dog to Grandview vet but they turned me away saying they cannot accept more patients! Angel Vet might have a filing system from the 70's but they will get the job done for your loved fluffy one! Read Less

I love this clinic. I've taken all of my dogs here for years and if you can see past the small parking lot and waiting space and the long wait the vets are amazing. You can really relate to others waiting and the vets actually care about your animal(s). And the facility is really clean considering how busy they are. And the prices are so reasonable. Don't ever go to this vet they f*cking suck. I went on a Saturday Bc my dog wasn't acting normal and crying for no reason. They said NOTHING was wrong with him and made us pay almost $400 and now it's a Monday and he had a seizure and can't see and is dying. Read Less

Go HERE!! Best vet I've ever been to!! I came to them after running around town to 2 other vets that had turned me down. My cat was severely injured he had been hit by A CAR I think and broke both back legs. The first vet that saw us was a young tall woman and was very kind and smart her name escapes me right now. But my main vet now is Jeff and he is a great man and his wife is also a vet there. He always calms my husband and I when we are worried about our cat. You can tell he genuinely cares for his patients. My cat was a tricky case but he was very honest about everything and I trusted him to do my cats surgery. We are still in the process of healing but everything is looking good. I love this place and feel good energy from it. I'm very happy with the vets ive had and almost everybody knows who I am bc I call all the time and they are always so helpful and easy my mind when I get worried about my cat. Read Less

This is not the fanciest clinic in town.  The building is pretty worn, and they probably don't have all the latest and greatest equipment.  However, the doctors are GREAT - every single one of them.  Yes, you may have to wait for a while to get in to see the doc, but they take the time to answer all your questions and don't make you feel rushed.  And, their prices are the best in town - I have 10 dogs, so it adds up fast!  They won't try to sell you on unnecessary tests or treatments, which I've had trouble with at other clinics.  And when my elderly dachshund was not doing well and had to spend the night, they called me with updates.  They let me sit with him in the kennel area until it was time for me to tell him good-bye, and the entire staff was very helpful and very kind.  Don't be put off by outward appearances.   If you need a reasonably priced vet with very caring doctors, this is your place! Great place to take your sick animals. As long as you don't mind a long wait. I took my puppy to the clinic for blood work because she wasn't eating or drinking and Dr. Schwarz recommended the night before at the vet ER. He was there and looked after my Cadence. He was amazing! Talked me through everything including cost. The staff was flustered and busy due to high volume of patients but worth the wait. My basset hound had developed abscesses over Christmas weekend. Angel Vet agreed to see her as a walk-in. We did have a couple of hours to wait, but I was put at ease after Dr. Battershell examined my dog. She gave me all the option and was very helpful in making the decision about treatment.
