The staff here are kind and caring and really take their time with your fur baby. Clean facilities, ample parking, and I love that they have separate sides for cats and dogs. had a phenomenal experience with Grandview, and I'm absolutely ecstatic to continue visiting them. I have lived in three different states with my dog and taken her to 5 different veterinary facilities in that time and Grandview's pricing is on par with every other place I have been. Owning a dog is not cheap, and just as doctor visits for people usually run over $100, they often do for pets too. Veterinarians are thoroughly trained professionals and deserve to be compensated properly for their expertise and time. If you cannot afford booster shots, vaccines, and preventative medicine for your dog (much less an emergency service if something were to happen), you should not own a dog. I have been taking my critters here since I moved out here. It's the one of the places I consistently recommend because I know the animals will get quality care here. There can be a wait for appointments but that's generally because there were emergencies earlier in the day. Meds are a bit overpriced but that's the only reason I gave a 4 star instead of a 5 star. I agree that this place is a rip off. I took my dog there to get vaccines and they wanted to charge me over a hundred dollars. The vet tech said, she needs this. We're not trying to overcharge you. We have been bringing our pets here for the last couple of years. These ladies really care and have hearts of gold about the animals they take care of. Jan 10,2017 we had to have our Lil Bit put to sleep it was the hardest thing we ever had to do. The staff and Dr. Garcia were so wonderful to us during our time of need. A few days later I received a sympathy card ( handwritten and personalized)in the mail from Dr. Garcia and the entire staff of Grandview Veterinarian. We have recently moved to Odessa and had yet to find a veterinarian clinic for our babies. After a rough couple of days with our 12 year old (heartworm positive) border collie, I knew it was his time to go. I called at 4:15pm yesterday to request an immediate appointment and the employee who answered my call was patient, helpful, and was able to get us in. Dr. Garcia saw us and took amazing care of both my dog and me. She was very calm, warm, and had A+ bedside manner for us both. I was a hot mess with tears flowing, but Dr. Garcia took her time to explain the options and never made me feel like I was backed into a corner nor did she speak down to me. After deciding to end my dog's pain, Dr. Garcia gave me plenty of time to be with him and love on him before moving onward with the injection. She spoke incredibly softly to him, pet his head, and treated him as if he was her own dog. Her tenderness was such a blessing! Making the decision to euthanize my beloved dog was and always will be one of the hardest things I've ever had to do, but Dr. Garcia and the other staff members who were with us during the process made it as smooth and uncomplicated as possible. Thank you to the entire staff for supporting such amazing employees. I am grateful! EDIT: Three days after his death, we received a hand-written condolence card from Dr. Garcia and the staff at this clinic. The kindness and respect shown to our boy brings me back to tears! I took my pets to Grandview Vet Odessa. This place is a total disgrace. They will charge you fees that you are unware of. Also told me that one of my dogs needed a follow up shot when she really didn't. That shows you that they dont keep records straight. I will not recommend this place. Take you pets somewhere else. We initially thought this place was great, we started taking our 4 dogs here when we moved to town. One had to have a gull bladder removed which the vet did with great service. My complaint is not soley with the veterinarian but instead the rudeness, of the staff as a whole. They treat the pets okay but they act like the pet owners are the problem. It seems to me they try to push their products on the patient owners at a large marked up price. They try to push things on your pet you do not want. They talk about your finances in front of other customers regarding procedures and what you can and cannot afford. We have officially decided to move our pets to a more professional practice. Today was my first time to Grandview veterinary clinic, and it was amazing! They were so kind and caring towards me, and my sweet girl and her puppies! Best clinic in the Permian basin! I switched to Grandview ver from a different clinic because the staff were quite rushed and a but rude. I decided to go to Grandview because my grandmother takes her dog here. They are always so nice, call you back in a timely manner, and make sure all your questions have been answered. We did have to wait more than an hour past the appointment time to be seen, which is tough with two active dogs. But what is prompting this review is the clinic's greed in terms of prescriptions. I told the vet tech that I wanted the same product that the dogs had been on, which was one monthly pill that prevented both fleas and heartworm. She acted like she didn't hear me, and she proceeded to ask me to choose between a pill and a shot vs. two pills. When I clarified that I wanted to keep them on the pill that handles both, she told me that they didn't have it and again tried to force a decision on what they carried at the clinic. I told her that I would take it up with the vet when she came in to see us. The vet told me that I could indeed get the prescription I wanted, Sentinel, online and gave me the web address to the clinic's online store. I priced the prescription at their online store and then at 1-800-PETMEDS and found the difference between the two to be over $93. I placed the order with 1-800-PETMEDS and waited for confirmation that Grandview Vet had authorized the order. Several days later, I received an email from PETMEDS to contact my vet about the prescription. The woman I spoke with at the vet's office told me that they would not authorize the prescription from PETMEDS. She didn't even think that Sentinel was available and told me that they were probably sending out expired medications. I told her that the same medicine was available on their own website at a huge mark-up. She expressed surprise but again told me that the clinic would not authorize that purchase. It is clear that this clinic is not satisfied with the $311 they have already gotten from me. The only reason to insist on use of their own online store is to make a tidy profit. This hospital does NOT smell like a veterinarian hospital when u walk in. The people are very friendly & very knowledgeable. Not to mention the doctors are the best in town.
