We recently moved to area and I was still driving to my vet of 5 years in Oklahoma until they diagnosed her with pyometra they kept her in the hospital for 2 days did no surgery to remove her uterus in fact my trusted vet sent her home in a more deteriorated state and scheduled the surgery 1 month out.... within 2 days of bringing her home she was on deaths door so I took her to the AHO they discovered her kidneys were shutting down and she developed pancreatitis from the pyometra so she was again hospitalized for a few days and then they did remove her uterus! All of these Drs took amazing care of my baby Astryd gave her so much love and affection and did every possible thing to save her life they went above and beyond their call of duty during this hard time I've also been very ill and had to travel to OKC to have a medical procedure done and they took her and cared for her until I got home at no charge Astryd has slowly but surely been recovering and getting back to her spunky fun self
I would reccomend this clinic and its entire staff to anyone who wants Drs to treat their animals as their own......
Thanks to every single staff member who helped my baby Astryd!!!!

We have an aging toy poodle who is having some difficulties as he gets older. We got a pretty confusing diagnosis from a specialist and he struggled with the initial treatment. Dr. Gorman-Trammel took time with me to explain everything and come up with a plan that takes into account our desire to keep him comfortable and as happy as possible. So thankful I found them! Worth the drive from Oak Cliff.

Friendly staff and nice facility. The Dr. Did everything to provide options within our budget. I didn't feel that they were direct with their opinion but I can't blame them for not wanting to just freely say that they thought my dog had cancer. Absolute professionals in my opinion and I will definitely go back with my next baby.

About 4 years ago I took my puppy there and had several recommended expensive puppy well visits up until my dog was 1.5 yrs old. At the last visit my dog was prescribed medication for an infection and medication to calm him during a flight as he was traveling across country . Something was going on with my dog was having some weird symptoms while we were out of state and I decided to call the vet that my dog saw since he was just seen there less than 1 week prior to our trip. I just remember the vet refusing to take my call after I called twice and I heard her in the back ground telling the assistant to tell me to take my dog to a locol veterinarian to be seen knowing I was out of town and she just saw my dog a few days ago. I spent a lot of money with this facility for this veterinarian to blow my dog off so heartlessly and to not give me 5 mins of her time over the phone. It left such a bad taste in my mouth that I never took my dog back there again and I found a different veterinarian who cares and definitely has time to address my concerns over the phone as needed.

Very thankful for Dr.Standfill. He saved my little turtle Ted. He always educates me on reptiles and I am in and out in no time. He showed me how to administer medication at home and stayed in contact about Teds progress. Forever grateful. Now Ted swims properly and dives to the bottom of the tank with no problem.

We've used this vet clinic several times. The first time, we brought in our bearded dragon because this was the only place that sees exotic animals anywhere near us. We had excellent service. They explained everything they were doing, and educated my son on how to properly take care of his pet. We've also taken our cat here when he got a UTI. Again, they were very professional. The didn't do anything at all without informing us and getting permission beforehand. We were informed of all treatment options and costs before any treatment or tests were done. Not only that, we were asked if we wanted to be taken back and observe when certain treatments were done to our pets. The even trimmed the dragon's nails (showing us how to do it ourselves) and didn't charge us. They're also more affordable than many of the local vet clinics around. I'm really surprised to read less than stellar reviews about this clinic.

I had to apply for a care credit and was thankfully approved and they went to town on that like it was free money when in fact it is not we have to pay every cent back and when i talked to them about ...
I had to apply for a care credit and was thankfully approved and they went to town on that like it was free money when in fact it is not we have to pay every cent back and when i talked to them about it they said well they were trying to get me over $200 for no interest for 6 months whether there is interest or not we again still have to pay every cent back so they openly said they were trying to rack it up without informing me of any of it i am very dissatisfied and will not be going back and if you are wise you will seek a different vet for your babies too they made it clear they just care about money and that's it

They don't tell you what they are going to do to your animal then charge you for everything that you weren't aware of until it's all been done and you're standing at the register like wait what am i being charged for and it's been done so there isn't anything you can do but pay. They opened a can of food to see if my dog would eat didn't ask just brought it in then charged me for the can on top of everything else i wasn't informed of and sent me home with the opened can but never told me i found out days later once it was bad very upsetting. After they got my money the initial visit they have been cold and that perky demeanor completely went away.

I highly recommend Animal Hospital of Ovilla. As an owner of 4 dogs (3 have health issues), it is important to me how they are treated by the Staff and Vets. Everyone at AHOO is genuinely friendly and sincerely care about the animal's welfare. The Vets take time to explain procedures and test results, tell you what to look out for, and always answer my questions. I feel like my dog is their first priority. The staff calls the next day to check on your pet even if all they got were shots. I have every confidence that the Vets and the Techs are very knowledgeable and stay up to date. If you live in the Red Oak - Ovilla area and need a wonderful Animal Hospital, try AHOO.

Our previous Justus needed to be seen quickly on Tuesday. They gave us an immediate appointment. The issues that our precious angel was having was not treatable. She was diagnosed with bone cancer. I cannot say enough about how gentle, loving, and compassionate the staff was. They were so gentle with Justus and made sure that she didn't hurt while they were trying to find out what was going on. It was so hard to lose her. I cannot say enough about the staff here!!! They truly care about their patients and the patients family. We transferred all of the records from our previous vet that we had used for over 20 years!!! Dr. Gorman is the new doctor for my furry children. I just want to say thank you to the awesome staff!!! I feel much better knowing my babies are in your hands!!! If you are looking for a new vet, try this one. You will not be disappointed!!!

The entire staff is caring, professional, and loves animals, this I know for sure. The young lady vet (I'm sorry, I forget her name, but never her heart) diagnosed my dear Gigi with terminal stage kidney disease and leukemia after the vet in Sunnyvale said Gigi was anemic and tried to sell me a pet insurance policy! But, the staff at the Ovilla Animal Hospital loved on Gigi up to the end, the vet was straightforward with me about diagnosis and prognosis, everything was done so compassionately, I'll never forget their sensitivity towards Gigi and me. It's a little out of my way, but the quality of service and compassion towards the pet and the owner are unbeatable. If/when I get another pet, I WILL make the drive to Ovilla from White Rock Lake in Dallas because I know the high standards of care this clinic practices. Easily a 5 star rating in my book.

They make it so hard to get a prescription for a pet pharmacy outside of them. It takes over a week for them to get it right. The pet pharmacy complains about them to and that they give patients a hard time because they want you to buy their products. They write the prescription finally, but never update their system so you get notes in the mail telling you that they are concerned for your pets welfare. There is one lady doctor there that is a sweetheart and always remembers my dogs. The rest of the staff depending on what day it is are miserable. One lady only likes cats so she ignored my dogs when we came in and told me to control them so she could hold someones cat. Three stars just for the Doctor.

The entire staff is caring, professional, and loves animals, this I know for sure. The young lady vet (I'm sorry, I forget her name, but never her heart) diagnosed my dear Gigi with terminal stage kidney disease and leukemia after the vet in Sunnyvale said Gigi was anemic and tried to sell me a pet insurance policy! But, the staff at the Ovilla Animal Hospital loved on Gigi up to the end, the vet was straightforward with me about diagnosis and prognosis, everything was done so compassionately, I'll never forget their sensitivity towards Gigi and me. It's a little out of my way, but the quality of service and compassion towards the pet and the owner are unbeatable. If/when I get another pet, I WILL make the drive to Ovilla from White Rock Lake in Dallas because I know the high standards of care this clinic practices. Easily a 5 star rating in my book.

They make it so hard to get a prescription for a pet pharmacy outside of them. It takes over a week for them to get it right. The pet pharmacy complains about them to and that they give patients a har...
They make it so hard to get a prescription for a pet pharmacy outside of them. It takes over a week for them to get it right. The pet pharmacy complains about them to and that they give patients a hard time because they want you to buy their products. They write the prescription finally, but never update their system so you get notes in the mail telling you that they are concerned for your pets welfare. There is one lady doctor there that is a sweetheart and always remembers my dogs. The rest of the staff depending on what day it is are miserable. One lady only likes cats so she ignored my dogs when we came in and told me to control them so she could hold someones cat. Three stars just for the Doctor.

They make you feel comfortable, and the treat your pets like they are individuals with their own needs instead of like just a number.You don't have to wait a long time for anything. Its like they were waiting for you to be there already.They are very thorough with the medical exams. I feel like they truly care about you and your pets.

So impressed with the care Ovilla Animal Hospital gave our Brody for his surgery. He is home and resting.God is good and we are thankful for great vets!

We love the staff at Animal Hospital of Ovilla. They saved our cat Smokey, of this we have no doubt. The care and concern they showed for our Smokey was absolutely the BEST!! We also feel the prices were not unreasonable, considering all they did for our baby. Thank you Dr. Stanfill, Dr. Owen and the whole staff for all you did for Smokey!! We will recommend your clinic to anyone who has a beloved pet!! :)
