I came here to edit my review, when I left it I was very upset because I was sure we were gonna lose her and I was frustrated because I felt the vet didn’t do much. Two hours wait time to be seen for what I thought was a life threatening situation is still way too long. When you’re not a professional and your tiny puppy is laying in your hands, very faint and lifeless (she wouldn’t open her eyes, her tongue was sticking out and her breathing was barely noticeable) it’s a scary situation and my feelings towards being made to wait such a long time are valid. I don’t know what emergency clinic you spoke to but by the end of it all the vet who actually saw her, and tested her told us her kidney and or liver may not process certain human foods. She was much worse after we got home, although at one point she seemed to be getting better. Just before we rushed her to emergency her eyes began to roll back. We were sure she was dying. She had eaten about two hours before we got there but was not eating in between, she couldn’t even wake up. She didn’t die, thankfully. She did survive which is why I decided to come back and edit my review because everyone seemed nice. At a moment of panic “nice” wasn’t cutting it, I was angry at what seemed like a lack of consideration but I now realize that you are the professionals and you didn’t see a life threating situation. Diamond in the rough! I live 20 minutes away but I still drive here anytime my dogs need vet care. Her prices are the most reasonable in the area and everyone is nice. I've never had any issues and can usually get a same day appointment. It could use a bit of paint and the parking is a little lacking but I'm OK with that. Dr. Nester and all of her staff are GREAT!! My 4 month puppy began vomiting so I called them to try to get an appointment, and they let me bring her in right away! She had parvo! They began treating her right away! If they hadn't been able to get her in as fast as they did she may not have made it through the night! They saved my puppy and I am very thankful! Their prices are very reasonable and they were even able to give me some donated medications to help her recovery as well! On day three of taking her back for her treatments by puppy was jumping and licking all over Dr. Nester, which told me that she must be taking great care of her! I have two kittens, one which had been throwing up for about 24 hours, and both needed boosters but between bills needing to get paid and needing to be at work asap I was desperate. I was told about RAC and showed up at 7:40 am, hoping to get in as early possible but had no hope of getting out within 1-2 hours but Dr. Schmidt was amazing and opened early and even took them in a room before his 8am appt showed up. The nurses were great at keeping the kittens as calm as possible and the bill was not as scary as I was expecting. Has definitely become my go-to clinic for vaccines and exams! Read Less

I love the people here! They are very warm and caring towards all of 4 my fur babies; 2 boy dogs and 2 girl kitties. They were especially good to my black lab mix when he got so sick from being a guest of the city of Houston for two weeks through no fault of his own. They worked really hard to get him back on the right path and got him healthy again. We will forever be in their debt. Their prices are very reasonable and we LOVE the senior discount! I've been taking my animals here for over 10 years. Our dogs actually get excited to go to the vet, the cars are still indifferent but they behave. This clinic helped us so much especially when a litter of puppies got parvovirus, they helped us out so much with trying to save those puppies. I took my fur baby here for the first time this past weekend for his annual. I got there about 20 mins before my appt and they went ahead and saw him. I was in and out in about 30 mins. The techs and veterinarian were very nice. He started to panick when they were drawing blood for his heartworm test and they were very patient and helped him stay calm. GREAT! Ever since my vet on Fairmont closed I have been looking for a place to care for my pets. I have been here once and I had a great experience. A place that doesn't discriminate on breed, age or circumstances. Their focus seems to be the quality of care they provide not the amount of patients they can squeeze in for a day. With regards to the previous statement mentioned by the lady claiming the staff had a bad attitude; I received absolutely ZERO attitude. My visit was pleasant and refreshing. My dog had worms and didnt want to wait to take him to a vet so I decided to take him here winch was closer. I was the only one there and two vet techs came in and asked me questions then took a stool sample. THEN one tech asked if I had any other concerns I had so SHE could tell the Vet.and I stated he was chewing on his feet lately and it seemed because of anxiety A few moments later on tech came back and had a script for steroids and other stuff for his chewing. WHAT THE HELL ? The vet NEVER came out to look at him ! so why give the dog pills for something you assume is the problem? that was an easy 120.00 for her... First of all, I know Dr. Wilkes was a great Veterinarian and nobody can fill his shoes. Second of all, I own Red Bluff Animal Hospital as well and feel free to check my reviews. I have high standards of how I want patients and their ""children"" treated. Third, buying a veterinary clinic is extremely expensive and running one is expensive as well. Dr. Briles is a great doctor and we worked well the first year. Unfortunately, things didn't work out well the second year and we parted ways. I have nothing negative to say about him and wish him well. This brings me to my point, I want high quality care and medicine for clients. Most great veterinarians are already employed so I am having a hard time finding one that practices the way I believe they should meaning treat all clients equally, fairly, in a timely manner, with the highest quality medicine at a fair price. I won't quit until I can find a veterinarian and employees that can do this. As for being put on hold for 15 minutes, our phone system beeps non-stop after only one minute. The office is small so I don't believe the receptionist could have stood the continuous beeping for 15 minutes. I am wondering if there was something wrong with the phone line or something along those lines. I would love another opportunity to show how we have improved since your last visit and you can come by Red Blufft to see how we treat patients as well. After the original vet sold this Hospital it has fallen into a over priced clinic with a revolving door of vets and techs. I hope that the new owners realize that Dr. Brilles is the only reason people come back to this clinic. But after being placed on hold for over 15 minutes I realized that it was time for a change.
