My situation is actually very hurtful and disappointing. I had an appointment on a Saturday just for rabies shots. I had scheduled it the Wednesday prior to that Saturday. I spent two hours catching my Russian blue cat to take her and her sister in for shots. I showed up 15 minutes prior to my appointment to be told that I was not on the calendar and that one of the Doctors was in an emergency surgery to save her dogs life. TOTALLY UNDERSTANDABLE. -- The other Dr. was not accepting walk in's I was told. I said ok, but I am not a walk in. The front desk person with mouth clinch was rude all the way. I waiting for almost an hour. Dr. Kenshaw came out and would not even listen. She yelled at me in front of other customers and told me that I was rude to ask them to see my pets when they have an emergency. I tried to tell her that I wasn't asking anyone to come out of surgery to see my pets for shots. That was just totally insane. She was mean and told me that I can just take all my pets somewhere else. That they will send my medical records wherever I wanted. I have moved my pets elsewhere by force of the Director of the clinic Dr. Meyers. He totally sided with their behavior and actions. There is a right way and a wrong way to treat a customer that has been coming to see Dr. Meyers for 15 YEARS. 15 YEARS! and my feelings or how I was treated was completely ignored on the word of a vet that has been there less than a year. I admit I was not in the best of mood after being yelled at by the Dr. But one can only take so much. I am a huge believer in tenure and loyalty. I can say without a doubt that they do not care about how long you have been coming there are how good you have been to their staff over the years. It doesn't matter. Loyalty and respect for the customer is not job one there. I am very disappointed. I had high respect for Dr. Meyers.

I bring my dog here for shots, exams, etc. Very friendly staff, couldn't ask for any better treatment. The only reason for the 4 star instead of the 5, is that they are kinda pricey and not very competitive if you're shopping for a vet, but I will say, with the attention my animals have received from all the techs and vets, I don't mind paying a little more because I know they're in good hands here.

I had a few problems so I contacted the manager of this place. First of all she was very professional then she blamed me for having the problems in the first place. I filled out a paper about wanting to receive messages about my cat while I was away. I never recieved any message about my cat. The manager here, Lesli, is unprofessional because instead of apologizing and training the staff better she tried to say it was my fault. So it was my fault her staff didn't send me updates on my cat. Then had the AUDACITY to say I am difficult to deal with just because she doesn't like me. Wow, way to be a grown adult who is a manager. That's the south for ya.

Quick service when we took our little dog in for a sprained knee. The staff was efficient and friendly, and treated her with gentleness and care. The vet said she didn't need xrays or any therapy other than pain meds, which they provided. We'll depend on them any time she needs care and for annual checkups and vaccinations.

My wife and I just brought our kitten to VCA because she had a procedure done at a different place and we were worried about how it was healing. We had never been to VCA before and they took us in with open arms. They squeezed us in even though we called 2 hours before they closed and everyone was wonderful. The vet tech was so helpful and genuinely wanted to make sure everything was okay with our kitten. The vet herself was also so nice and helpful, coming out to greet us and explain everything she observed. We will be making VCA our new clinic from now on.

I DO NOT recommend these people or any VCA hospital or affiliate. Took our newly adopted kitten in for a free exam recently. I didn't like how they took my kitten out of the room and just asked if it was okay to do fecal testing. Didn't mention it was a fee for it or quote me on it. Then the doctor comes in wanting to do more test and vaccinations. I wouldn't have minded vaccinations but I already felt bad that they never did a full exam in front of us. I discussed with my daughter that something didn't seem right with to me. I said when they come back I will ask what comes with the free examination. We left opting out of vaccinations etc. but paid for de-wormer and fecal exam costing @55 bucks.
I knew I needed to schedule another appointment with another vet. Went to Vet Services for immunizations where they did a real exam right in-front of me and discovered my kitten was sick and needs antibiotics for lugs not breathing well. We just took her last week to VCA and we told the vet there that she was sneezing and coughing. They wanted to do everything else but treat the illness. This is probably because they never examined her in the first place. I didn't see them examine her and they didn't treat the main problem.
DON'T waste your time or money with these people. I got free examine and paid $19.00 for the vaccine she needed with vet services.I will take her to her new vet this week for treatment for lungs and respiratory infection. VCA needs to be dealt with to stop them from price gouging and not treating the pets. You pay for services to be done. Taking a pet out of the room and coming back with a bill that families never seeing what they are paying for.

I just want to say that my husband and I are so thankful with Dr. Goble and the staff there. My husband took in a kitten that he found where he was working that day and brought him home poor little thing he was in poor condition. He took him to VCA- Fairmont and my husband says that you guys were so caring and awesome about everything. We take our dogs there too but with this last time you guys really outdid yourselves! Thank you so much for caring about all these little animals that really need it and for truly showing how you care. I recommend this clinic 100%.

Today was my first visit here at VCA Pasadena because my regular vet was closed. I called and spoke with Haley, she informed me that they did not have any available appointments today but because of my cats alarming symptoms, she recommended that I come in right away and she could work my cat in with the first available doctor. I arrived at 10am, the ladies at the front desk were so nice and were truly concerned for my baby. They informed me that it may be a long wait because they had alot of patients to see and only 2 doctors on staff but they guaranteed to see my cat., and for that I am grateful. Around 10:45 the nurse Meagan escorted my cat and I into a private exam room to see Dr. Jacob. They were so nice to me and my baby, I didn't expect this emergency visit so I was concerned about money. They gave me a typed up estimate for what they recommended for my cat so that I would know what I was looking at cost wise. They gave her a shot and also medicine to give at home. She is already feeling better! I am very grateful to this hospital today for taking care of my baby! I will be back if my pets need further care. Thank you VCA staff!

These people are scam artists and do not care about the animals health.
I brought in a family members cat for a urinary tract blockage. They charged me $1500.00 to administer a viral test, insert a catheter, sedate the animal and keep him on fluids for two days. The cat was to be picked up before 7:30AM on the third day or else we would incur an hourly charge.
And so that morning we picked him up - with catheter and IV still in place. Later that day, the IV stopped working (it either became dislodged from the cats vein or was clogged.)
We Brought him to a different vet, who told us that he still had crystals in his bladder. They charged $261 total for the following services: administer viral test, insert catheter, sedation, IV fluids, feline castration, deworming, and flea medication. They also sent him home with medication and special diet cat food for urinary health.
They performed all of the same procedures and several more for about 1/7th of the cost, and had a more comfortable facility.
In short, there are other vet clinics around that will actually care for your animals, and do so without running your pockets for all you have.

I have been going to VCA Pasadena for several years now with my pets. My pets have seen Dr. Jacoby, Dr. Meyer and Dr. Goble. All of the doctors are very compassionate, kind and knowledgeable. Their prices are reasonable for the high quality of care that this clinic provides. It's true that "you get what you pay for". Sometimes there is a wait but I don't mind because that just means they are taking extra care of their patients and the front staff always keeps me updated on my wait time. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. I highly recommend VCA Pasadena to care for your pets.

I bring my dog here for shots, exams, etc. Very friendly staff, couldn't ask for any better treatment. The only reason for the 4 star instead of the 5, is that they are kinda pricey and not very competitive if you're shopping for a vet, but I will say, with the attention my animals have received from all the techs and vets, I don't mind paying a little more because I know they're in good hands here.

Today was my first visit here at VCA Pasadena because my regular vet was closed. I called and spoke with Haley, she informed me that they did not have any available appointments today but because of my cats alarming symptoms, she recommended that I come in right away and she could work my cat in with the first available doctor. I arrived at 10am, the ladies at the front desk were so nice and were truly concerned for my baby. They informed me that it may be a long wait because they had alot of patients to see and only 2 doctors on staff but they guaranteed to see my cat., and for that I am grateful. Around 10:45 the nurse Meagan escorted my cat and I into a private exam room to see Dr. Jacob. They were so nice to me and my baby, I didn't expect this emergency visit so I was concerned about money. They gave me a typed up estimate for what they recommended for my cat so that I would know what I was looking at cost wise. They gave her a shot and also medicine to give at home. She is already feeling better! I am very grateful to this hospital today for taking care of my baby! I will be back if my pets need further care. Thank you VCA staff!

I have taken my Lab and cats to VCA Pasadena for a few years. The doctors and staff are very compassionate and knowledgeable. They take the time to explain results and procedures. You can feel assured your pets will be well taken care of.

These people are scam artists and do not care about the animals health.
I brought in a family members cat for a urinary tract blockage. They charged me $1500.00 to administer a viral test, insert a catheter, sedate the animal and keep him on fluids for two days. The cat was to be picked up before 7:30AM on the third day or else we would incur an hourly charge.
And so that morning we picked him up - with catheter and IV still in place. Later that day, the IV stopped working (it either became dislodged from the cats vein or was clogged.)
We Brought him to a different vet, who told us that he still had crystals in his bladder. They charged $261 total for the following services: administer viral test, insert catheter, sedation, IV fluids, feline castration, deworming, and flea medication. They also sent him home with medication and special diet cat food for urinary health.
They performed all of the same procedures and several more for about 1/7th of the cost, and had a more comfortable facility.
In short, there are other vet clinics around that will actually care for your animals, and do so without running your pockets for all you have.

I have been going to VCA Pasadena for several years now with my pets. My pets have seen Dr. Jacoby, Dr. Meyer and Dr. Goble. All of the doctors are very compassionate, kind and knowledgeable. Their prices are reasonable for the high quality of care that this clinic provides. It's true that "you get what you pay for". Sometimes there is a wait but I don't mind because that just means they are taking extra care of their patients and the front staff always keeps me updated on my wait time. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. I highly recommend VCA Pasadena to care for your pets.
