Both the vet and tech's are so caring and patient with your pet. They don't try to rush you through the process and they take time to explain and answer any questions you may have. It is incredibly difficult to work with the front staff at this vets office.  Have worked with animal rescue for years and have worked with numerous vets all over Houston and surrounding Houston cities, but the staff at this vets front desk was extremely unhelpful.  Would not recommend this vet.  Too many other good vets to choose from in Houston and Pearland. We are all devastated with his extensive injuries that he has sustained and your wonderful care of our kitty has made it easier on us. We realize that being new clients it is difficult to establish a good rapport in an emergency but you did just that and it did not go unnoticed and was greatly appreciated. The physicians are amazing and make sure to spend time with me whenever I have questions. My pets are my world, and it's very hard to find somewhere I can trust to help me provide the best medical care. I have no problems with trusting everyone at PAH. Every visit is enjoyable. They are always very nice. I've never waited more than 15 minutes in the waiting room. The techs always have everything ready and they don't waste any time. We love Dr. Schoeffler. I have talked to Dr Schoeffler a couple of times at the Pearland Business Chamber and felt very good about him. So, I decided to take our precious one to him as she was having gastro issues. The treatment was perfect, and I liked the approach, my wife being a Primary care physician, I could generally sense how doctors approach a problem. I went yesterday for my big babies first check up. It was farther from my house than i originally planned but my sister referred them saying they were great so we took the drive. Ladies up front were sweet, after registration papers were done we waited maybe 10 minutes (which is great). They had toys for my son to play with. A few days ago I had to go put down my little homie cat Bandit. It ranks among the worst days of my life. I couldn't have asked for a better place or nicer people to help me through the procedures. For one thing, when I brought bandit in initially thinking he might have a normal stomach problem it turned out it was something much worse and that it was killing him. Even though the veterinarian could have squeezed a lot of money out of me for very expensive tests and numerous visits, instead he told me the absolute truth which was that he was dying and there was not anything that could reasonably be done. The vet and his assistant as well as the office workers were so kind and so respectful and so genuine that it really really helped me get through his passing even though I was a complete wreck the whole time. Just today I received a letter in the mail which was a beautiful card signed by all the staff offering they're condolences. I really appreciate that. I brought my sweet kitty here in desperation when she was suffering and our regular vet's office was closed. While it was a very sad visit, saying goodbye to my sweet girl after 14 years of companionship, the staff was very kind and caring and made the experience as bearable as possible. Why I keep using this vet is beyond me, I sure won't in the future. Twice I've experienced where they had no compassion for the animals. They don't care that some pet meds are so outrageously priced that the average person can't afford them. After waiting all day for them to return our call, they flat out refused to prescribe a lesser cost insulin for a pet of mine. We couldn't afford to spend an additional $330 a month after spending $260 just to find out our feline was diabetic. Also regarding the $260 charge, they lied to us while during the initial exam when they said the blood test (which alone was $184) would be less expensive since they were sending it to a lab that would take 4 days for results. We were side-lined with that cost when checking out. And on top of that we were to pay $120 every two weeks until the insulin dosage was determined. So, roughly we would have been out over a thousand dollars just to get our little cat up to a level where maybe, just maybe, her diabetes could be maintained. I had no choice but to retrieve her records and find another vet that would be a bit more compassionate towards the animal and the humans. Plus I find it very rude that when we went back to get the prescription and learn how to administer the shots that the vet couldn't be bothered with us. The clinic assistant had to keep leaving the room to go ask him a question that we needed an answer for. It was quite apparent that she didn't have much experience and couldn't answer simple questions. This is one veterinary business I will never do business with again. Read Less

I would recommend Dr. Henry. Not Dr. Schoeffler. I went in for shots for my puppy and told him that she has worms, I could see them coming out of my puppy. He sent me home with Advantage multi. Twelve days later, my puppy wasn't eating or drinking. She could barely move. I took her back in and saw Dr. Henry. She gave her fluids and sent me home with a dewormer. She was finally able to get up and drink about 10 hours after her 1st dose of dewormer. It is ridiculous that my puppy almost died and it cost me $216.00 to have to go back and get the right medicine when I should have been given the right meds the 1st time. Read Less
