Boarded my dog Zeus here for 3 nights and he was well taken care of. He came back happy, had a fresh bath smell, and the pricing was great. Staff is friendly, facility is clean, would use again. Not that this is a complaint, but they offer a bathing service, would be the cherry on top if they could groom your dog for you while boarding. Good service and my dog seemed to like the vet. My only gripe is a common one for this industry, I feel nickel and dimed. It's already expensive and I don't like extras being tacked on w/out knowing what I'm paying for it. Ex., after my dog's x-rays, the vet said she could give her some pain meds. I thought great! She'll prob only need 1 or 2. The vet and her assistant quickly disappeared behind the door as the receptionist then said that'll be $26. Great. In addition to the $550+ I just spent. Thanks. It was already bottled and labeled w/our names so I felt obligated at that point to purchase it. And guess what? My dog only needed 1 as expected. Also, I paid for x-rays and for as much as I spent would have at least like to have gotten a copy to show my husband as we decide together how to proceed. Such a wonderful team who genuinely care about animals. I had recently adopted a kitten from a shelter who suddenly became very ill. When I went to Silverlake the staff were very kind and accommodating. They allowed me to leave my kitten with them during the day while I worked and called me with any changes my kitten was having. If Dr. Stone was not so caring and aggressive in her approach to recommend various testing/medication, we would not have had a chance to save our sweet girl! it's been a year already since we brought home our German Shepherd puppy Layla. Just wanted to say thanks for taking such good care of our girl through her puppy growth. The wellness plan helped so much through the expenses of a spay, vaccinations, and heart-worm prevention. We've been so pleased. While the vets are very nice and it is easy to get an appointment that is where my like for them stopped. We took both our dogs there this year after a neck injury for one an a leg injury for another. Both times xrays and blood work was pushed. And both times surgery was reccomended or told to be needed in the future. Not even days later for our first dog she was fine and after another opinion we were told it was not nerve damage but just a pulled muscle. Today we got a secon...d opinion after silverlake told us our dog would need an ACL repair, only to be told by our usual vet that it is just arthritis! I was visibly pregnant on both visits (even went intk labor the day i brought our second dog!) And expressed concern about bills. That didn't stop them from racking up a nearly $300 bill! Thanks to Dr. Stone for treating my puppy after he ate some sago palm branches. Since sago palm SEEDS are deadly to dogs we weren't sure if he ate seeds to or just the branches so we rushed him to Silverlake Animal hospital and they took great care of our furry family member . I was fostering a dog a few months back and he was sponsored through a rescue group. They told me to take him to this facility because they work with this particular vet clinic. I took him in for his initial check up after he was found on the side of the road, and everything was great. The service was excellent. However, I made a follow-up appointment for three weeks after because he unfortunately had worms. Three weeks later, I arrive ten minutes early to my appointment, there was only one other person with a pet in the waiting room and I waited for TWO HOURS before I was even put into an exam room. After waiting another thirty minutes I went out to ask the person at the front desk what was going on and she said I was waiting because they had to "work me in" that day. AS IF I DIDNT MAKE AN APPOINTMENT THREE WEEKS PRIOR. This went on for another hour, me waiting and then asking the front desk what was going on and being told a vet would be with me shortly. When a vet tech did finally come in the assist me, I waited ANOTHER THIRTY MINUTES for the actual vet. When the vet came in she told me I had waited H O U R S because there was only "one vet working" that day. No real apologies, they just gave me crap excuses. Not pleased. Absolutely the worst place on earth to take your pet. They are interested in making money and don't care about your pet at all. I took my pet here for several years, they neglected to diagnose a major issue with my pet and I ended up spending several thousand dollars before having to put him down. Now, after being pet-less for two years, they erroneously informed the pet adoption place that I didn't keep up with shots for my previous pet. REALLY PISSED OFF!! Not only did I keep up with his shots, I spent a ton of money buying his prescription pet food through their business at their recommendation over several years because my precious pet was overweight. This is an overall expensive and fairly cold place. We've been trying to make it work here for about a year now, thinking it would change and giving them the benefit of the doubt, but it's always the same. So, it's time for us to move on. From several of my experiences, they don't like to treat pets symptomatically, but instead with the most expensive methods possible. From time to time, my dog gets common ear infections of dogs with floppy ears.They always suggest taking cultures and doing all of this extensive work, when in reality, she just needs some medicine. It's obvious it's an infection, the extra test$ are truly not needed. When my other pet (who never eats things he isn't supposed to) wasn't eating, they suggested X-rays, bloodwork, food allergies and tons of other treatments before just trying to treat his symptoms of upset stomach. Of course that quote was $400+, so I said, "no" and suggested some tablets first. (I do like that they tell you how much your bill will be before performing any work, but you can ask for this anywhere). I told her I couldn't afford the X-rays and bloodwork at the time and she suggested I apply for their credit card. It came off as callous and rude. I got overwhelmed and started crying a little bit. I hate seeing my pet not feeling well and not one person said anything even semi- compassionate such as,"he'll be okay," or " take as much time as you need, we understand!" They rushed me out the door and it was pure silence. They also never seem to have the medicine we need and say," It's on back order." This has happened to us two different times for two different medications.One last experience to share is that my female got spayed here and she's been terrified of them ever since. I can't say this is due to anything they did or didn't do, but I also can't say that it doesn't make me wonder. She's a very trusting and kind breed/dog, so it's a little bizarre. If you have a lot of money and you don't mind them jumping straight to the most expensive fix, then you'll probably love it here. It is a clean place, easy to find and they can always fit you in, usually within the same day. Read Less

The service at this place is always awesome. However would not accept our regular vet's evaluation for boarding and required us to pay for an additional examination (their regular vet saw them all in April of this year). So our last minute need went from $85 for our 3 dogs to $404 for an overnight boarding. Would say use these guys only if they are your usual vet.... Otherwise you're looking at additional fees and a bigger bill to have your needs met. Read Less

My animals are healthy and have received such good care here that I would not consider going any place else. You bring your pet in for a check up and you come out with a $600.00 bill. They make you feel bad when you tell them that you don't have the money to spend on a 15 y/o dying dog. They don't give you any other options. They just want your money.  If you don't have the money, they try and make you feel guilty about it.  Say NO to all unescessary treatment. I have been coming here for years and always get great service.  Yes, I will agree that they tend to run on the expensive side, but for the service I have always gotten I believe it's worth it!  There are several vets and all are extremely nice.  The only thing I wish they offered was grooming, not just boarding. I've been taking my pets to Silverlake Animal Hospital since they opened,more than 10 years ago. We love the vets and technicians. Dr Quast is the best. The receptionist are friendly and helpful. I will agree, it is expensive. Veterinary medicine isn't cheap. But you get what you pay for. I am happy to pay for a clean, odor free office, & fast, knowledgeable staff when I take my pets in for a visit. I ALWAYS get a follow up call the next day to check on my pet. I'm seeing reviews saying this place is expensive but they WILL work with you financially. I took my dog in at 3:30 AM because he had (unbeknownst to me) eaten a fatal amount of rat poison. They quickly diagnosed him and gave me an estimate of $850 for his treatments. I told them I simply could not afford that and asked if there was any way to lower that number. 5 minutes later they came back and said that they could exclude a procedure without substantially raising his risk of death and that would bring my bill down to $275. We took  our three animals here and it cost us a fortune. I have taken my dog to this vet 3 times for the same illness they can't seem to figure it out,however, they continue to charge me I'm $1000 dollars in to this ordeal and they keep telling me to bring her back. They never call back like they say they will. The customer service is really bad every time I ask to talk to the vet they want me to talk to the manager. I'm paying to talk to the vet I thought. DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE.  This place is awful and all they care about is taking your money without properly treating my dogs.  I have brought my dog here 3 times over the past several months complaining of intermettent diarrhea and mucousy stool. Every time I brough her here I was told I needed canine influenza.  I got it in December when she was spade because they needed influenza vaccine to be able to keep my dog at the facility which was fine. Then I took her back later for check up on diarrhea without leaving her at the facility and was told in order for my dog to be seen I have to repeat the influenza vaccine since I did not get the follow up booster. So my dog got influenza for the second time.  They told me stool was negative and gave me probiotics and some other tablets to help with diarrhea. Couple of months went by, my dog was still having intermittent diarhea and mucousy stool, so I took her back.  I had told them she may be having parasite infection since it's intermittent and there is a lot of mucous. Was again told to go home and nothing was wrong after I paid a hefty bill .  They again wanted to give my dog influenza.  The problem did not resolve, I took her back AGAIN for them to tell me for the past 2 visits they did not do a fecal screen for bacteria!!! Unbelievable.  Needless to say I will never be returning to this clinic.  There are so many other vetinarians in Pearland that are more competent and care more about your little fury family members than just taking your money. Dr. Gregory is the greatest asset to this Veterinary Hospital He really makes you feel at home and at ease with anything that could be going on with your pets. I have been seeing him for over 10 years now and he is truly an exemplary example of a caring, loving, and devoted veterinarian. My dog and cat as well as other pets in our family have all been so lucky to call Dr. Gregory their veterinarian. Dr. Gregory has the up most passion and knowledge when it comes to dentistry related issues and has a vast knowledge in many unique pet issues. He immediately comes into the exam room and most times sits on the floor casually to discuss what is going on with your pet. He has a huge heart for animals and owns some of the cutest rescues I have ever seen. If calling for a first time appointment I HIGHLY recommend asking for Dr. Gregory to examine your pet(s). I started taking my dog, Chance, to see Dr. Stone a little over a year ago because he started having seizures. The second we walked through the door, we are always greeted with a smile. Dr. Stone always makes sure to give a full assessment and answer any questions I might have about my dog's health. The appointments last as long as I need them to and I never get the feeling of being rushed so they can get to the next patient. Sometimes, I will call in a question about Chance's last seizure and the people on the phone try their best to answer it or have Dr. Stone call me back the same day to put me at ease. I can't imagine taking him anywhere else now...even if I have to drive in from Houston to see the doctor! Read Less

My family and I have been seeing Dr. Gregory since he was at the Pearland Animal Hospital East location on 35. When he moved here, we followed him, us and all of our babies!!!!. He is an extraordinary vet!!! He is very caring, honest, and upfront with everything whether it be small or large. I recommend this office to anyone looking for a great vet!
