It's very difficult to take care of your pet here. Certain staff are incredibly unhelpful and don't put in any effort at all to help your pet. The person that will see your pet will be the technician ...
It's very difficult to take care of your pet here. Certain staff are incredibly unhelpful and don't put in any effort at all to help your pet. The person that will see your pet will be the technician (I guess that is her title?). They give you information that is irrelevant to you or your pet and is fear based. They make assumptions not even based on facts about your pet. Absolutely IRRATIONAL. Extremists. Accusatory. the Tech will give you three different diagnosis for the same thing while you are there. She caused my dog so much unnecessary anxiety. I've taken my dog to a different vets office several times before and we never had any problems like we (my husband had the same experience) had here. Some people don't care about animals they just care about their agenda. If she cared about my dog she would have found a way to calm my pet down enough to take her temperature, weight, and stayed with what was relevant to my dogs current health. None of that could happen because she was so hostile in her mannerism that she scared my pet. There is no point in going here unless you want to dish out $200-$350 every visit. It is outrageous.

I have taken my pets to Dr. Weaver at Hometown Animal Care for more than ten years. He is intelligent and compassionate, two characteristics that place him above the rest. In our recent yearly checkup he found a small, pea-sized mass that he quickly diagnosed as being a mast cell tumor. He did a quick biopsy and offered to show me the results on a slide under the microscope. I am a retired OR RN and always interested in the minute details of my pets' health and treatment. He removed the lesion the following week and while doing so, found another mass nearby the first. He also removed that and for no additional charge!
When congestive heart failure finally got my elderly Anatolian Shepherd, Dr. Weaver made time in his busy schedule to euthanize her. The staff as well as he was exceptionally compassionate throughout the procedure. They gave us plenty of time to spend with her.
When I rescued a pittie mix from our local shelter he did her first check-up at no charge.
The vet techs are all friendly and demonstrate kindness and caring toward our pets, completing the ideal atmosphere for animal care.

Very Clean place, and the people were so nice. I was very happy that I found this place for my new puppy. Make sure to take advantage of any specials or promotions they are having. When I took my new puppy for the first time they had a free first health check for new clients, which ended up saving me about $30 on my first trip.

An amazing, caring, skilled veterinary hospital and boarding facility!! Charming decor leads to a friendly and professional group of people dedicated to the health and well-being of your pets. Divided into two sides, one for dogs (and, tough cats), the other side for cats, it is a full service pet facility. The entire staff is so knowledgeable, and the veterinarians are awesome. I trust them completely with the care of my senior fur baby.

Done. We we will go no more. Since I have gone here (since they opened ~10 years ago), the doctors have become less experienced and the prices have tripled. A couple of the doctors that have been there are great...the new ones...not so much. More and more it is a money squeeze...and they have become less friendly. Since it is a $$ business, they will understand when you go to the other folks in town who are much less expensive.

Fantastic experience bringing our cat into this wonderful clinic - great staff and bedside manner with an unhappy feline. But we were disappointed that the RX was not called into the pharmacy as promised. We ended up spending an hour at Walmart (not optiimal). I would have rated this 5 stars but for the RX issue. Overall though, strong recommend.

Turned my dog away who was attacked by other dogs because they were busy.
Up until this incident I had taken my dog Sasha here a few times and was happy with their services, but after today I don't think I'll be going back there anytime soon.
My dog was attacked by 2 other dogs and we brought her here because it was her vet. They took her in and started to work on her but didn't want to finish because they were busy and we didn't have an appointment. The doctor told me what was needed for her care but said that I should take her somewhere else because they were busy.
I'm extremely disappointed with their lack of service and the fact that they were so quick to turn us away. My dog was in a ton of pain and badly injured and they sent us to Round Rock Emergency with a bag of morphine and a cone, meanwhile my dog was bleeding profusely from her wounds.
I will no longer be doing business with this place. Not after the way we were treated.

We have been bringing our beautiful kitty to Hometown for over a year and we are so happy with the care and service by everyone on staff--Doctors, Techs, reception desk. We usually see Dr Weaver or Dr. Reicher but everyone so far has been great. We recently brought our kitty for boarding. A week before dropping off we got a tour of the cat palace and I was so impressed. The rooms look so "homey" but in a kitty way. This was our cat's first time boarding and as soon as we dropped her off she loved the window views and comfortable cat sofas and blankets--not your standard kennel spaces. The staff followed our feeding instructions for our senior cat including accommodations like small feedings 4 times a day instead of standard 2 and distilled water all included in the boarding fee. If you want to give your pet the royal treatment while you are away from home I highly recommend Hometown Animal Care.

They also send reminders in the mail for upcoming shots needed which is super helpful!

This place is the cat's meow! Every staff member is friendly, efficient and helpful. The vet care is excellent and fairly priced - they aren't looking to gouge you. I've been here 4 times in the past 2 years for various things. Every single time my little buddy gets the best care and attention. I adore the layout and decorations of this place too. It says they love pets and their owners.

The staff are all very nice, genuinely seem to enjoy their jobs and caring for animals. The service is usually timely. I'm hoping today was an exception. I arrived to my appointment on time, but then sat in a exam room for 50 minutes waiting to be seen. My dog only needed shots. We should have been in and out in 20 minutes. Instead, I sat there for an hour and 15 minutes when all was said and done. I could see techs and staff sitting at tables, enjoying drinks, chatting etc. Some were charting and working on papers, which is fine and expected. But no reason to make a paying customer wait while you sip on drinks for 50 minutes. I'll be sure to make my appointments for earlier in the day to hopefully avoid this in the future. I'd really hate to have to switch vets, as I generally have been happy with service up until today. The quality and price of care really can't be beat, but my time is valuable as well.

Awesome Vet! Great prices and the Staff really cared about my dog and took care of her. My dog had almost her entire neck bit off by another big dog. The Vet had to see her to change her bandages several times a week and only charged me their lowest rate. I think the bill totaled at $120, which is amazing for all the surgery and bandage change work they did. Highly recommended!

The vets and the vet techs here are so wonderful. They are always happy to see us and answer all fears/concerns with a heart. The dogs aren't afraid to come and they are always treated well. They do accept care credit, so if you have something that has to be done that's out of budget you're all set. I'll always bring my dogs here.

My greyhound Noodle started scratching her eyes with her paws recently. We have previously been to a vet in Leander who knows greyhounds really well, but given that I couldn't afford the 2 hour round trip+appointment in my schedule, I had heard good things about Hometown Animal Care and decided to give it a try. So glad I did! The interior feels like a home environment and they have entrances for cats and another for dogs to keep any posible skirmishes at bay. When they led us to the back room, we were seen quickly. The vet tech and Dr. Oramas were very friendly, knowledgeable and they seemed to really like Noodle. Even better, Noodle seemed to really like them...not to mention the jerky treats she got for being a good girl while they looked at her eyes. They gave me medicine on the spot and I was pleased with the price. We came back for our follow up and we were in and out in 30 minutes. Overall a great experience - we will likely be back. Boy let me tell you about this place. One of my friends took their dog to this vet clinic and he ended up coming back with worms. And at the time when he was there the vet, Dr. Sutton, was being absolutely rude to his employees and being very disrespectful. I definitely will never use this clinic for my animals and some of the staff were being very unprofessional.

I've been bringing my dog here for the past few years and have always had a great experience with the entire veterinary staff. Multiple times, I've received calls to check in on how he's doing after a procedure or illness, and I've even been given a personal contact number before. I can't beat that in terms of people who truly care about the well-being of your pet(s).

We tried several vets in Pflugerville over several years, and finally found Home Town. They are leaps and bounds better than any other we tried. Huge, extremely friendly staff with many very good and friendly vets so it's never hard to get a quick appointment. The building big but has a very homey feel to it. Also love that they've split it into a cat side and a dog side to limit "confrontations". Highly recommend Home Town!

I ended up finding a stray 4 week old pitbull puppy and after deciding to keep him, I took him here to get him checked out. The staff is great and so nice. You can tell they all genuinely love animals. I was seen on time and the vet was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I will for sure be going back for all my puppies future needs.

Wonderful staff and the vets know their stuff. I shopped around to a lot of vets when I first moved to Austin seven years ago and this place is hands down the best. I am in animal rescue so I have to have access to a great vet with reasonable prices. I have a rather large menagerie that is mine and I seem to always have a few fosters. I was getting so disillusioned with vets in the area until another rescuer told me about them. I am so glad she did. I probably could not do rescue as well if I had not found them. Dr. Sutton is phenomenal. As for the reviews of the staff being busy, well they are really busy. There is a large office staff because they are a busy practice. The only times I have had to wait, which is rare, is when they were dealing with other clients in front of me. That is the nature of the business. I have been there many times and I have always been happy. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

This place is the cat's meow! Every staff member is friendly, efficient and helpful. The vet care is excellent and fairly priced - they aren't looking to gouge you. I've been here 4 times in the past 2 years for various things. Every single time my little buddy gets the best care and attention. I adore the layout and decorations of this place too. It says they love pets and their owners.

The staff are all very nice, genuinely seem to enjoy their jobs and caring for animals. The service is usually timely. I'm hoping today was an exception. I arrived to my appointment on time, but then sat in a exam room for 50 minutes waiting to be seen. My dog only needed shots. We should have been in and out in 20 minutes. Instead, I sat there for an hour and 15 minutes when all was said and done. I could see techs and staff sitting at tables, enjoying drinks, chatting etc. Some were charting and working on papers, which is fine and expected. But no reason to make a paying customer wait while you sip on drinks for 50 minutes. I'll be sure to make my appointments for earlier in the day to hopefully avoid this in the future. I'd really hate to have to switch vets, as I generally have been happy with service up until today. The quality and price of care really can't be beat, but my time is valuable as well.

Awesome Vet! Great prices and the Staff really cared about my dog and took care of her. My dog had almost her entire neck bit off by another big dog. The Vet had to see her to change her bandages several times a week and only charged me their lowest rate. I think the bill totaled at $120, which is amazing for all the surgery and bandage change work they did. Highly recommended!

The vets and the vet techs here are so wonderful. They are always happy to see us and answer all fears/concerns with a heart. The dogs aren't afraid to come and they are always treated well. They do accept care credit, so if you have something that has to be done that's out of budget you're all set. I'll always bring my dogs here.

My greyhound Noodle started scratching her eyes with her paws recently. We have previously been to a vet in Leander who knows greyhounds really well, but given that I couldn't afford the 2 hour round trip+appointment in my schedule, I had heard good things about Hometown Animal Care and decided to give it a try. So glad I did! The interior feels like a home environment and they have entrances for cats and another for dogs to keep any posible skirmishes at bay. When they led us to the back room, we were seen quickly. The vet tech and Dr. Oramas were very friendly, knowledgeable and they seemed to really like Noodle. Even better, Noodle seemed to really like them...not to mention the jerky treats she got for being a good girl while they looked at her eyes. They gave me medicine on the spot and I was pleased with the price. We came back for our follow up and we were in and out in 30 minutes. Overall a great experience - we will likely be back. Went in today to get my dog her vaccinations, when we got there, she was a little excited and barking very loudly . They put us in a room in a very fashionable timing . Boy let me tell you about this place. One of my friends took their dog to this vet clinic and he ended up coming back with worms. And at the time when he was there the vet, Dr. Sutton, was being absolutely rude to his employees and being very disrespectful. I definitely will never use this clinic for my animals and some of the staff were being very unprofessional.

II would NEVER do a walk in at this place because you could literally be waiting for 3 to 4 hours until you are out. Other than that they have always been really amazing we adored our doctor but we're really sad that Dr Morelli isn't working there anymore she was truly amazing. We will probably follow her to the next clinic she works at.

I've been bringing my dog here for the past few years and have always had a great experience with the entire veterinary staff. Multiple times, I've received calls to check in on how he's doing after a procedure or illness, and I've even been given a personal contact number before. I can't beat that in terms of people who truly care about the well-being of your pet(s).

We tried several vets in Pflugerville over several years, and finally found Home Town. They are leaps and bounds better than any other we tried. Huge, extremely friendly staff with many very good and friendly vets so it's never hard to get a quick appointment. The building big but has a very homey feel to it. Also love that they've split it into a cat side and a dog side to limit "confrontations". Highly recommend Home Town!

I dont think I've ever left a review on a business before but this place deserves it! I ended up finding a stray 4 week old pitbull puppy and after deciding to keep him, I took him here to get him checked out. The staff is great and so nice. You can tell they all genuinely love animals. I was seen on time and the vet was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I will for sure be going back for all my puppies future needs.

Wonderful staff and the vets know their stuff. I shopped around to a lot of vets when I first moved to Austin seven years ago and this place is hands down the best. I am in animal rescue so I have to have access to a great vet with reasonable prices. I have a rather large menagerie that is mine and I seem to always have a few fosters. I was getting so disillusioned with vets in the area until another rescuer told me about them. I am so glad she did. I probably could not do rescue as well if I had not found them. Dr. Sutton is phenomenal. As for the reviews of the staff being busy, well they are really busy. There is a large office staff because they are a busy practice. The only times I have had to wait, which is rare, is when they were dealing with other clients in front of me. That is the nature of the business. I have been there many times and I have always been happy. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

the front desk staff is indifferent, bordering on rude and terribly disorganized. Doctor Sutton and Doctor Weaver are really good vets - but I'm not sure it is worth putting up with the front desk to see them - perhaps they are a little too busy to give my dogs the personal attention they deserve.
