Dr. Shelly Michalk is the most dedicated and caring professional veterinarian we have encountered. She has cared for all 3 of our fur-baby cats and 1 new one we got from the animal shelter recently. She is delicate in her handling of the animals and is very knowledgeable. The office staff is always caring, professional and very friendly. Need to take responsibility when a mistake is made. Also, need to be much less argumentative and defensive. If someone claims they are unhappy about what they view as a mistake that was made and are considering no longer being a client after 22 years, make sure you have the right person make that follow-up call. Not impressed with this place. Took two dogs in for checkups and shots. Also one needed his ears looked at. And why he would chew his paw Well 600 later and told just clean the ears.    Well a few weeks went by and it only got worse.  Took in again. Charged 100+ and finally given drops.  The original visit the vet was too busy being obsessed with his long tongue and such.  Never looked at his paws.  Well after getting aggravated and creeped out over this. Left.  Well got a note that the shots were due. Called and was told that they had to charge a visit fee (dog was just in). Said nope and went else where. They gave him shots and also said hey your female is due in less than a month ( would of been another office charge plus shots ) just bring her in also. Well found  out also he needs a growth removed.  Told it's probably been there for a while.  So needless to say they suck at what they do and over charge for everything. And the receptionist is far from friendly.  Wendy that is. Walk in and say hi and she acts like she didn't hear you.   My dogs will never step foot in there again. Read Less

This is the first time I sent my dogs for holiday boarding at this place, and it is excellent! It is very clean, staff are very friendly, and the rate is not expensive. They actually will prescreen the dogs strictly before they are allowed to board, in this case, the risks of getting contagious disease from others dogs are greatly reduced. My dogs stayed there from 8 days and they are very clean and healthy when I picked them up i.e. they have been well taken care! My big lab has had bad experiences with some dog care in Mckinney before, she got k-9 cough and took her 2 weeks to recover although she had bordertella vaccine.
