Super caring staff! Dr Gillard was awesome! My cat had been attacked by a dog. I was a mess, his staff and the Dr were very reassuring and kind! The Dr explained everything and didn't rush SassyCat into surgery. He gave her time to heal and recuperate on her own when he could have tossed her into surgery and charged me a fortune! He was super nice! Thanks to all the Staff and Dr Gillard.

They are very passionate about their love for the animals, especially the vet assistants and everyone shows real commitment to helping you and your pet in need. I've been squeezed in last minute on multiple occasions when I needed to get my cat immediate help. They are very thorough and will give you all the information you need on how to take care of your pet if any home treatment is involved or information about aftercare when a certain procedure/treatment is done in the clinic. And don't let the grumpy nurse at the intake desk fool you, she might seem like she hates you for no reason but I assure you she loves your pet and will take great care of it!
Oh also, they have an adorable office kitty that's always around, huge plus!

The best decision I have made thus far in my dog Buddy's medical care was to bring him to this Animal Hospital. The Doctor and the staff are absolutely amazing. They are very knowledgable and extremely compassionate. I highly recommend them! This is the one and only hospital I will trust with any of my fur babies needs from here on out. Although my baby boy is very sick..they have helped him to be comfortable and have the quality of life he deserves. The Doctor has helped me come to terms with some future decisions I will have to make and I trust him entirely with his care. If you are looking for an all around fantastic experience with any of your animals needs..this is the place!

I was in a pinch and needed to find a vet for my cat who all of a sudden became very ill. This vet was able to get him in Saturday morning, and the vet immediately knew what was wrong with him. He stayed the weekend at the vet, I was able to get him Monday late afternoon. He seems to be doing well! The rates I'm sure was a lot higher than other vets, but they took care of him. I'll definitely come back. The staff was really friendly including Chester the cat!

Used their boarding service for our senior dog. This hospital has no moral and mistreated him horribly. He was extremely thirsty when we got him back as they did not feed him water. He was walking just fine before the boarding and was not able to walk anymore. Now we have to put him down while before thinking we still got some time with him. They are very clear and concise in all the information and take the extra effort to make sure you know everything you need to. they will even go the extra mile to try and answer questions they think might come up after you leave, and each staff member we talk during a visit will make sure someone has already told us what we need to know and tell us if not already.

I have been bringing my cats here for years, and I still do even after moving out of Plano. I trust Dr. Gillard implicitly with their health due to his experience and expertise. Dr. Gillard is also soft-spoken, which is important to me with my cats who don't love loud noises. The vet technicians and front desk employees are kind, helpful and exceptional. They always make sure to have the supplies in stock I need for my diabetic kitty, and have even stayed open a few minutes late on occasion when I couldn't get here from work by 6pm. They are open for a half day on Saturdays, which is convenient. I am remembered as a client when I return, which is nice. I have never had any problems bringing my animals here or being charged for something that wasn't done. I would recommend anyone bring their pet to this veterinary clinic accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association.

All of my fur babies are patients here (3 puppy dogs and one kitty cat) I can't say enough how wonderful the entire staff is!! I have all the confidence in the world in my pet's care... they've been seen for emergencies (I was able to get in IMMEDIATELY), routine care and surgeries. Not only are they gentle and truly loving with my pets, they also take the time to explain everything they are doing and why. This is a warm and friendly clinic. I highly recommend Legacy Drive Animal Hospital!

I thought this was a good place to take my yorkie. Come to find out all they care about is money and lots of it. I had an appointment for a heart worm test and to get her heart worm medication only to find out after I got there she could have her test but I could not buy heart worm medication without a full exam. Even if the test was negative. They could have told me this over the phone. If you have lots of money to waste at this place then this is the vet for you. I give them no stars and will be looking for a new place to take my baby.

Our family moved to Plano from Dallas less than 2 years ago. I had gone to the same vet for 20 years, but he's 30 miles away now. In the time we have been here, we have adopted a cat who had worms and other issues, our older cat had a skin problem, and our female cat developed calcium stones that got trapped in her urethra with urine that backed up in her abdominal cavity requiring two surgeries. I was nervous using a new vet, but Dr. Gillard and his staff were terrific with all my animals and with me. We nearly lost our female cat to cardiac arrest, but Dr. Gillard got her heart going, and now she is healthier than she's been in a long time. He took the time to reconstruct her urethra so that it wouldn't narrow should she develop more stones. Both Dr. Gillard and his staff checked on me regularly with all 3 cats, and if I was concerned, they said to just come on in. Dr. Gillard gave my female kitty a second chance she might not have had. I also appreciated the way he did tests in succession so that if one came back with a certain result, it would determine if we needed to go further. That saved me money and my cats pain and angst. I've been very pleased.

Please do not take your pets here. I made the mistake when we took my yorkie in because we were concerned that she had a uterus infection. Dr. Gillard sent us home saying she was fine before examining her or doing any tests. Instead he charged us for numerous things we did not ask for including over-priced heart guard medicine. They also docked us $15 dollars for what took 2 mins to trim nails my dog's nails. We brought along our other puppy to inquire about a neuter and left with a mandatory puppy exam we didn't need, cough pills that didn't work. Dr. Gillard even gave us an empty pill bottle.. "to bring back tomorrow with the puppy's fecal matter for testing" It wasn't until I got home that it was an additional $40 dollar charge for a test they haven't performed.I am fine paying for my pet's healthcare but there was absolutely zero provided. Three weeks later our dog was still lethargic so we took her to a different vet for a second opinion. They immediately could tell she was not well and her infection had escalated to more severe. Unlike Dr. Gillard who barely examined her, this vet HillSide Clinic on Mockingbird ran x-rays and blood tests (all reasonable in price) and my dog needed EMERGENCY surgery to save her life. It still saddens me when I think this all could have been prevented if Dr. Gillard had been more careful. Her surgery could have been prevented with just antibiotics.

This is an amazing veterinary clinic. I began taking my long-haired Maine coon cat her about 2 years ago. The staff is always friendly and I feel comfortable leaving him at the vet while I am at work. My pet get a lion's cut as he is older in age. Not many people groom long-haired cats. Before bringing my pet to this clinic, I visited several other groomers and vets. I always had a different groomer or I would get sent to another location. Here, my pet is comfortable and never acts out. I see no other alternative in pet care!!For your pet's vaccinations or ailments, come see the friendly staff at Legacy Drive Animal Hospital. This place is more than a hospital.

I was in a pinch and needed to find a vet for my cat who all of a sudden became very ill. This vet was able to get him in Saturday morning, and the vet immediately knew what was wrong with him. He stayed the weekend at the vet, I was able to get him Monday late afternoon. He seems to be doing well! The rates I'm sure was a lot higher than other vets, but they took care of him. I'll definitely come back. The staff was really friendly including Chester the cat!

Used their boarding service for our senior dog. This hospital has no moral and mistreated him horribly. He was extremely thirsty when we got him back as they did not feed him water. He was walking just fine before the boarding and was not able to walk anymore. Now we have to put him down while before thinking we still got some time with him. Thanks for taking away my best friend and I hope you guys rot in hell.

They are wonderful. The staff is so incredibly nice and helpful. When asking questions they are patient and responsive, and very knowledgeable. They are very clear and concise in all the information and take the extra effort to make sure you know everything you need to. they will even go the extra mile to try and answer questions they think might come up after you leave, and each staff member we talk during a visit will make sure someone has already told us what we need to know and tell us if not already.

I have been bringing my cats here for years, and I still do even after moving out of Plano. I trust Dr. Gillard implicitly with their health due to his experience and expertise. Dr. Gillard is also soft-spoken, which is important to me with my cats who don't love loud noises. The vet technicians and front desk employees are kind, helpful and exceptional. They always make sure to have the supplies in stock I need for my diabetic kitty, and have even stayed open a few minutes late on occasion when I couldn't get here from work by 6pm. They are open for a half day on Saturdays, which is convenient. I am remembered as a client when I return, which is nice. I have never had any problems bringing my animals here or being charged for something that wasn't done. I would recommend anyone bring their pet to this veterinary clinic accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association.

All of my fur babies are patients here (3 puppy dogs and one kitty cat) I can't say enough how wonderful the entire staff is!! I have all the confidence in the world in my pet's care... they've been seen for emergencies (I was able to get in IMMEDIATELY), routine care and surgeries. Not only are they gentle and truly loving with my pets, they also take the time to explain everything they are doing and why. This is a warm and friendly clinic. I highly recommend Legacy Drive Animal Hospital!

I thought this was a good place to take my yorkie. Come to find out all they care about is money and lots of it. I had an appointment for a heart worm test and to get her heart worm medication only to find out after I got there she could have her test but I could not buy heart worm medication without a full exam. Even if the test was negative. They could have told me this over the phone. If you have lots of money to waste at this place then this is the vet for you. I give them no stars and will be looking for a new place to take my baby.

Our family moved to Plano from Dallas less than 2 years ago. I had gone to the same vet for 20 years, but he's 30 miles away now. In the time we have been here, we have adopted a cat who had worms and other issues, our older cat had a skin problem, and our female cat developed calcium stones that got trapped in her urethra with urine that backed up in her abdominal cavity requiring two surgeries. I was nervous using a new vet, but Dr. Gillard and his staff were terrific with all my animals and with me. We nearly lost our female cat to cardiac arrest, but Dr. Gillard got her heart going, and now she is healthier than she's been in a long time. He took the time to reconstruct her urethra so that it wouldn't narrow should she develop more stones. Both Dr. Gillard and his staff checked on me regularly with all 3 cats, and if I was concerned, they said to just come on in. Dr. Gillard gave my female kitty a second chance she might not have had. I also appreciated the way he did tests in succession so that if one came back with a certain result, it would determine if we needed to go further. That saved me money and my cats pain and angst. I've been very pleased.

Please do not take your pets here. I made the mistake when we took my yorkie in because we were concerned that she had a uterus infection. Dr. Gillard sent us home saying she was fine before examining her or doing any tests. Instead he charged us for numerous things we did not ask for including over-priced heart guard medicine. They also docked us $15 dollars for what took 2 mins to trim nails my dog's nails. We brought along our other puppy to inquire about a neuter and left with a mandatory puppy exam we didn't need, cough pills that didn't work. Dr. Gillard even gave us an empty pill bottle.. "to bring back tomorrow with the puppy's fecal matter for testing" It wasn't until I got home that it was an additional $40 dollar charge for a test they haven't performed.I am fine paying for my pet's healthcare but there was absolutely zero provided. Three weeks later our dog was still lethargic so we took her to a different vet for a second opinion. They immediately could tell she was not well and her infection had escalated to more severe. Unlike Dr. Gillard who barely examined her, this vet HillSide Clinic on Mockingbird ran x-rays and blood tests (all reasonable in price) and my dog needed EMERGENCY surgery to save her life. It still saddens me when I think this all could have been prevented if Dr. Gillard had been more careful. Her surgery could have been prevented with just antibiotics.

This is an amazing veterinary clinic. I began taking my long-haired Maine coon cat her about 2 years ago. The staff is always friendly and I feel comfortable leaving him at the vet while I am at work. My pet get a lion's cut as he is older in age. Not many people groom long-haired cats. Before bringing my pet to this clinic, I visited several other groomers and vets. I always had a different groomer or I would get sent to another location. Here, my pet is comfortable and never acts out. I see no other alternative in pet care!!For your pet's vaccinations or ailments, come see the friendly staff at Legacy Drive Animal Hospital. This place is more than a hospital.
