I discovered NAPH several years ago based on a friend's referral and, four dogs later,  I will never go anywhere else.  Everyone from the front desk staff to the folks in the kennel area to the vets and the technicians are first class.  They treat my dogs like family.  Specifically, Dr. Ryan Price is the best veterinarian I have ever had.  Smart as a whip, he is extremely compassionate and thorough and spends as much time as necessary to review all of your options.  He has done everything for my dogs from routine exams to surgery and, unfortunately when necessary, euthanasia. He does not hesitate to call in other experts if he feels it necessary.  Dr. Price is all about delivering the best care possible.I also board my dogs there when I have to travel and never worry a peep about them.  They go willingly with the kennel staff and always come back happy so I know they like it there.Lastly, Courtney is an amazing groomer and does a great job.I cannot say enough great things about NAPH and the care they provide to my dogs. I am one of those that took my young lab to NPAH when they first opened.  We subsequently moved to Ca and eventually sadly lost dusty. After moving back to Plano and 12 years after Dusty passed away, I got a Maltese Shih tzu from Petland. I broke my warranty On the purchase as I wanted NPAH to do his neutering and care. I like how thorough all the doctors and staff are. They have accommodated me when I have an urgent need.  I would not go anywhere else unless I moved away   Oscar gets the best care. Read Less

I've been going to North Plano Animal Hospital for 8 years.  They are competent, but it's a corporate atmosphere.  Recently, my dog had an issue.  After spending $1000 on treatment, I called to ask a few questions before the $1000 surgery.  They did not return my phone call.  I called Hanks Animal Hospital.  They worked my dog in, did surgery four days later and it was half the price.  My follow up appointment at North Plano is next week....so they could charge me one more time before surgery?  Obviously not.  I finally learned my lesson and will not return. When Bruno first moved back to Dallas from Houston, he started developing heavy allergies. He would chew on his paws non-stop to the point of bleeding and would constantly scratch the inside of his ears and whine. The North Plano Animal Hospital was pretty good about setting up a last minute appointment. I called them on a Monday morning and was able to set up an appointment for mid-afternoon on Monday.Being the overly protective pet owner I am, I asked tons of questions and Dr. Price was so patient and very thorough in his explanation of Bruno's allergies. Almost too thorough! I kept looking at the time because I still had to get back to work. He told me what symptoms to look/watch out for, in case the allergies came back or got worse, etc.Pricing for the visit and the allergy pills was pretty reasonable, but the huge bottle of allergy conditioner was pretty pricey. I know that purchasing products that you can get elsewhere (online, petsmart, etc.) will always have a high mark up, but at this point, I was willing to pay the markup so I wouldn't have to make a separate trip elsewhere.
