I have been taking my Chi to Dr. Marble for 5 years with excellent care. My parents recently came to visit from out of state.  Their 6 lb. Chi decided to jump off my 2nd floor balcony, on a Saturday right before closing time.  Dr. Marble & staff stopped everything as soon as we ran in the door.  By the grace of God, the dog suffered no broken bones and is doing well.  Dr. Marble and staff checked in 4 times after and Dr. Marble herself  3 times to check on Elvis.  We truly are thankful for the caring, professional service we have received! Just received a letter yesterday, 10/31/16, from Windhaven Veterinary Hospital dated, 10/14/16, stating we strive to provide the best care for the pets and the best service for our clients, it has been brought to my attention that on several occasions you have not been happy with our service. I am sorry we were unable to meet your expectations. We want your family and pets to receive the best possible care and service and feel that another veterinary clinic may be better suited to meet your needs. Enclosed are copies of your pet's records. Debi Katona, Hospital Manager WOW!!! My Casey Girl and Anna started using Windhaven Veterinary Hospital on 3/8/13, and I know we have spent easy over $10,000 maybe $15,000, maybe more, and I receive a letter 2 weeks after it is dated with the above information. Thanks for sending me a letter informing me you are unable to meet my expectations, THAT'S A FACT, since Kristin and Dr. Raiczyk are no longer there. She doesn't push you into aggressive and costly surgeries or procedures if there are other options you can try. My four year old maltipoo, Dakota, has arthritis/MCL issues in her knee. Dr. Martin has advised us to use salmon oil, Dasuquin joint supplement every other day, and limit sprinting and jumping. This has been working - we are seeing improvement and limping has stopped. She also referred us to a good surgeon and a rehab specialist if we needed to explore more aggressive options in the future. Great friendly staff and very clean office. Things at Windhaven began great with out puppy. We had Dr. Marble who answered all our questions and was great about keeping up with his records. At about 5 months old we took our baby in because his ear was bleeding and infected. We met with Dr. Martin who informed us that it was a spider bite in the ear, she cleaned it, gave us medication and told us it was about a 10 day fix and sent us on our way. After a week we came back for another cleaning and were told another week. A week later we were told it was looking great but it was still raw so another week. We came in the next week and saw Dr. Marble who told us that his ear was really infected and that we needed surgery, maybe even amputation. We were floored! After 4 weeks of good reports what changed? We did everything they said. I took our baby to the surgeon and it looks like we are dealing with a tumor in his ear. There was never a bug bite. We talked to Dr. Martin today and she blamed us for the surgery! She said that people she works with were wrong to send us and that we made the bug bite into a tumor!! (Bug bites don't turn into tumors!) Not only is she not taking responsiblity for a misdiagnosis but she is calling her coworkers incompetent in the process. Oh and they forgot about heartworm medication for two months and his Parvo prevention medication even though we were there every week for 4 weeks. If you go to this vet, DO NOT SEE DR. MARTIN! Updated Review: Clean, sanitary facility and caring, friendly staff.  This office originally took my dog for a same-day appointment when my vet could not accommodate.  The office provides clear written instructions for handling any issue and gave a free samples of monthly medicines. The reason I lowered my rating two stars is because this office nickel-and-dimes customers to make money.  On my first visit, I paid about $200 to get a grass needle removed from my dog's paw, and the cone to prevent him from licking was an additional $30.  I had a free one I could've used at home and wasn't told about this charge until check out.On my most recent visit, the vet said he would express my dog's anal glands, which is always included by my groomer, yet the office charged $38 to do this.  A full grooming including this is $42, so if I had been told about the charge, I would have declined and made a grooming appointment.  In addition to that, the office charged me $25 for a piece of paper titled an "Interstate Health Certificate" which I was told was needed for air travel.  I regularly travel with my dog and this has never been a required certificate for any airline I have used. The vet here is decent, but they overcharge at every opportunity and constantly try and up-sell something. I went it for a rabies shot and a bordatella, and was charged for an office visit that lasted all of seven minutes. A total of $145. When I asked why I was charged for an office visit, I was told my dog needed it with the rabies vaccine. Come on now, that's not true. Then she said he needed an annual exam ( is that what that was?) every year even though my dog had one around 8 months ago. The first time I went my dog needed an antibiotic, which they marked up 400%!!!! Know how I found that out? I called Costco who has the same drug for 400% less. I won't be going back there. Good vet care shouldn't be a complete financial rip-off. No wonder there's never anyone in the waiting room, others have obviously figured this place out. Read Less

We have been bringing our chocolate lab, Nolan, here since he was 6 weeks old. Any time Nolan has had any minor issues, Dr. Marble will return my call herself and spend as much time as necessary talking to me. Every single time we bring Nolan in for a visit, he gets doted on by every nurse and is remembered by name no matter how long it's been since his last visit! When we had to bring him in to get neutered, they found an infection in Nolan's liver. They offered to give him a higher quality (typically more expensive) anesthesia for free and even took more extensive blood tests at no extra cost to us. We have been nothing but pleased with Windhaven Veterinary Hospital and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a vet in the Plano area. Thanks so much! Read Less

I've been visiting this veterinary hospital for about a year now and they're amazing! I originally took Evie to another vet in Carrollton to be spayed and I was very unhappy there. So I found the Windhaven Veterinary Hospital where Evie sees Dr. Marble. Dr. Marble is so nice, and explains everything thoroughly, will call me to update me on Evie's status, and I can call her if I have any questions. Everyone in the office is nice, kind, and caring. They always greet us (Evie and I) by name - and I've never had to wait longer than 2 minutes to be called into a room even when I arrive 10 minutes early. Evie hurt her back and we had to get treatment and a diagnosis - I visited them on Saturday, and Evie was diagnosed and on proper medicine within two days. Thanks so much! Read Less

This place is wow! from start to finish. I had been to a nearby ""bargain"" vet who sent me out the door with nothing but an exam and antibiotics. When my pet continued to worsen I called Windhaven, They got us in immediately and literally saved my pet. The doctor ran tests and were able to pinpoint what was going on right away. I was amazed at how advanced the medicine was there. They had all the modern gadgets you would see at a human facility! My dog received the best care and I know that if I had gone elsewhere they would not have had the tools to save her. So all I can say is THANK YOU WINDHAVEN!!! My folks recently took their 14 year old dog in for a follow up examine. When they arrived they were told there was no record of the appointment but that the Doctor was good at ""multitasking"" and could squeeze them in. They were led back to a cubicle where a tech came and took their dog for a shot. When my folks stated that they were there for a follow up and not a shot the tech asked them who they were. When they got that cleared up they came and took the dog saying they were going to run some quick tests and would be back in ten minutes. THEY DID NOT RETURN FOR AN HOUR. At that time the doctor told my folks they wanted to double the medication. My father asked for some more cost effective alternatives and was rebuked by the doctor. My father asked about petmeds online and the doctor made him feel like an idiot for even asking. When my father said that he could not afford medicine for 60 dollars a month for the rest of the dogs life the doctor back peddled and said that maybe the dog would be fine on the original dosage. So which is it? What's in the best interest of the dog? Or is he trying to scam a couple of more bucks out his clients? Before my folks left they went to pay their bill which turned out to be OVER $600! OVER $600 for a follow up. They were charged again for blood work, and an x-ray, none of which the doctor told them he was doing. And on top of that they were DOUBLE CHARGED for the blood work. This was not a good experience. It did not give confidence to my folks. They will be searching for another vet. One who is more sympathetic to the high cost of medicine. One who is willing to help them find alternatives. One whose first priority is the animal and the comfort and confidence of his clients. Read Less

Thank you to everybody at Windhaven Veterinary Hospital. Even Stripes came for a little cuddle and comforted me. You guys rock! I had bad experiences with Veterinarian Hospitals in the past. This place is amazing ! Very clean, affordable, and very professional! They got me in last minute and managed to perform a last minute drain and lance on my dog who had a severe case of cellulitis. It's really really difficult to find and experience a satisfying and heart warming customer service, but with this place we received it. I have been through at least 4 different vets in the past 2 weeks who were nothing but a waste of money and time. I recommend this place to anyone who is reading this review. I promise you won't regret the visit. Thank you Windhaven Vet Hospitals for restoring my faith in these so called "professionals" and many thanks to the front desk girls for keeping my mother sane during these very stressful moments!

And I would certainly recommend them if you want the BEST care for your pets. Read Less

Read Less
