My husband and I had just arrived in Rockport to visit family when our 18 year old hound had an emergency requiring immediate medical attention. Through the grapevine, we were referred to Dr. Moates, who agreed to see us right away. We rushed over there, and even though she didn't know us from a hole in the wall, she welcomed us and immediately took excellent care of our sweet girl. Although ultimately, it was Abby's time to cross the rainbow bridge, Dr. Moates treated us with such kindness and compassion, and helped us to make our girl's transition as peaceful as possible. She was the most caring and wonderful vet I have encountered in 70 odd years of having pets. I truly can't say enough about Bernadette service we have a 14 week transmitting kitten and panicked when he got but with her care and medication we are all doing better. We almost have our terrible 2 back getting into everything. We are so grateful to the Dr for the help. We called her on a Saturday night and she gave us some great advise about what was going on with our cat that helped take the worry off our mind until we could get the cat to her on Sunday.
