Love Dr Rodgers and Albers. Dr Taylor was rough with my pets. He has been rude a few times, cutting me off while I am trying to give details about the situation. He likes to talk and not listen. Just to the point and get you out. The staff used to be wonderful, but times have changed. They now have a bunch of kids running the front desk and they are rude. I have been with this vet for 10 years, but am now seeking a new doctor for my fur babies. I think this place has become too big for their britches!!

some of the doctors at this office are good, but that is not the case for all of them. I would avoid Dr. Taylor at all costs. He is very rough with the animals, rude, interrupts instead of listening to what you have to say and it’s pretty clear that he’s a know it all and there’s nothing that you can tell him that he has not already read your pet and knows already. Dr Albers is kind as is Dr Clemons. Dr Rogers is kind, but she is clearly annoyed with having to answer questions. I think these people do this day in day out and so to them it’s a job and they forget that these “patients” are our babies and our family members. Just because they have a degree in animal biology does not always mean that we understand why they are doing what they’re doing and it’s not absurd for us to ask questions. Furthermore, I overheard Dr. Taylor telling an assistant that they were going to run some tests and x-rays that were not necessary but they were going to do it anyways. He also badmouthed one of his assistants to me years ago because he had a different religious preference then Dr. Taylor.

If I could give negative stars I would! Made an appointment with to have my baby put down as she was old and suffering. When I arrived, I was told Dr Taylor was going to see her instead of the Dr I made the appointment with. I had dealings with Dr Taylor in the past with my cat he was cruel to. I should have left right away! He refused to sedate her prior to injecting her, then as he attempted to insert the needle, it blew and he got mad saying well now we have to shave there other arm. He injects her and leaves. My poor baby began to suffer, trying to breath, bit her tongue, I'm yelling for the Dr. He finishe FINALLY comes back in and says, dang she needs more medication than I thought. Seriously!? I will NEVER return to this horrible place!

I understand it is not nice to get a last minute costumer at the end of the day, but they should close earlier if the shifts are too long for their front desk people to be merciful and helpful. I like Rockwall County Veterinary Clinic. The doctors are all super nice. They treat you like a family member. Dr. Albers is sweet but by luck of the draw, Dr. Clemons has been Lil' Pete the stripey kitten and Bear the bulldog's doctor, nearly exclusively. I like her very much, she's sweet but also has a no-nonsense way about her that makes me feel like she's got our backs. I did blurt out the first time I met her "I've had to put a kitten and a puppy down in the last 6 months, you gotta make sure these guys live" and she promised me she'd do her very best. Sorry about that, Dr. Clemons, but I appreciate you understanding my angst.Both Lil' Pete and Bear had hernias and both had testicles. Those got to go! Dr. Clemons did a great job (this was actually Bear's third hernia fix - two from another vet- and this one finally worked) and both have healed up nicely. Both act as if they still have their man'hoods, still wild as ever, both have ZERO chill. Maybe she forgot and left the "chill" in, on accident ;).We boarded Bear the bulldog there for a long weekend and he hated it, got diarrhea and everything. But he hates everything besides eating and slobbering on the couch or on my bed, he's like a man and he's hard to please. They still took great care of him and I would trust Rockwall County Vet Clinic with him, if I have to board him again (and they're cheap)!Have I been to more boutique'y vets before? Yes. Have I been to a vet that I feel knows animals and is making the right decisions before? Yes- but I get a real feeling for this place, the vets are knowledgeable and I feel confident they will take care of us, all of us Northcutts, until the end.

They are down to earth, reasonable in their pricing, friendly and very good at what they do.
Actually have a very accurate and timely comparison on the pricing. Took one of our dogs in Friday for yearly work and a year of heartworm/flea medication. My father took his similar dog in to his vet on Thursday and was happened to mention it and complain about the fees. My bill was 150 less for the same services and similar medicine.
Love the practice and recommend it highly.

The doctors and nurses were great with the Gracie, keeping her comfortable while they did all of the tests. They were also great with my aunt. Boarded my pups here for a night. I'm not a client but I did bring all their shot/vet records so they knew they were current and well taken care of. I take care of my boys better than some people take care of their children. I understand that places need certain policies with which they run their practice. However, there are exceptions to every rule. After asking four different people to please allow my two teacup/miniature boys to be allowed to sleep in the same kennel, they continued to argue it was best for the dogs. I think I know what is best for my dogs, not someone who has never spent a split second with them. I finally conceded as it was only one night of boarding. Only to pick them up to a bill that was 3 times more than what it should have been because they require an initial visit since they aren't patients. No one informed me of this. It was no where on the paperwork and I was already displeased so this sealed the deal for me. If they had informed me up front I could have discussed with them or had them speak with their actual vet. So one night of boarding for two dogs that weigh a COMBINED 10 pounds cost over $100!And of course they came home starving because they don't do well when under stress and being separated at night didn't help the situation. I'm sure the vet is great but I think they need to be flexible with their policies, listen to their patients' parents, and communicate with people who entrust their fur babies to their care. Side note: Tracy the groomer is amazing! I highly recommend. She runs under her own business of TLC Grooming.

When I initially went in to register my two dogs the clinic seemed very clean and organized and everyone was helpful. But we boarded our dogs there for 10 days, and when they came back, they were very skinny, very skiddish, and their teeth and hygiene were very poor, and that was only after a week. I had asked them to board our two dogs together because that is how they sleep every day and night, But when we went to pick them up they not only told us they had separated them but they had also charged us for the two kennels vs the one I originally booked with them. So our bill was twice what we were expecting, For that amount I could have taken them to the Fanciest boarding facility and still came out ahead. I was very very sad when my dogs came home, you could just feel their relief being home. Our last place we took them to, the dogs would pull and run to the doors, this place they are coming home trembling. I will never board them at this facility again.

Dr Albers is great and always spot on, and Dr Taylor not only puts up with my big crazy, hyper pit mix, but truly likes het, and he loves on het and let's her clobber him every time she comes in, and tells her how much he likes her. You can not get better care for your fuzzy family members than this place.

Dr. Albers and Taylor are wonderful and get down to the dogs level to make them comfortable. I never had a vet that my dogs were excited to visit. No trembling or fear. Dale, a pit bull, immediately goes to everybody including front desk and gets his hugs and affection. Dr. Taylor saved his life after a serious mauling and Dale always checks the room and crate where he stayed until able to come home. They know how to communicate with a deaf dog and make him feel safe. Shorty, a Lhasa - Maltese, another rescue is comfortable enough to "talk" and allow exam. Even the latest rescue, an elderly timid poodle who is blind and easily frightened, does not object to visits. She has a terrible fear of being abandoned and they are very thoughtful and considerate of her needs. This review is so detailed to explain the compassionate care that goes along with the excellent treatment that makes this an exceptional vet clinic, not just a business.

We have been going to Rockwall County Veterinary Clinic for more than 22 years and Dr Taylor has been our vet.
Our kids have had several rescued dogs, 4 cats, birds, hamsters and every time we go there we have a friendly experience, the staff seems happy and enjoying the work.
Dr Taylor always takes extra care and time with our animals, he has a lot of experience so we dont have to go through extra tests plus the prices are pretty affordable and this is pretty nice when you have so many animals like we do.
But above all, no much matter how much busy the clinic can be, Dr Taylor is always calm, honest and respectful and this is appreciated.

My little angels have been seen by all 3 vets at this clinic and they are all good and know their stuff. A few years ago when I brought my puppies here for the first time, Dr Taylor let them lick all over his face (something I hadn't let them do to me!), and you could tell he really loves animals. At the moment, Dr. Albers is the doctor that I see when I need to take one of my doggies in. This is a top-notch practice. The staff is nice and professional and there's no funky odor permeating the air like you tend to find at other places. My only complaint and reason I'm not giving this review a 5-star rating would be because the prices are high (for everything, including medication), but that's to be expected when you go to a nice place vs. a low-overhead place. I've been down the low-overhead route before and in the end, it just wasn't worth it with all the nickel & dimeing they would do. Nowadays, I take my little ones somewhere else for routine maintenance and save this place for the serious ailments.

She said for me to call a vet in Rowlett on highway 66. I did and they were sooRude! Told me they could look at him but wouldn't be able to do anything today....all this time my little Baxter ..is screaming . My husband had taken my 15 yr old Min pin to be put to sleep and I found out he had taken him to Dr. Taylor. Well I called them and they were absolutely incredible . The entire staff is awesome!! He was so sweet to Dozer and gave him lots of love and answered all our questions and was very friendly . He didn't make us feel rushed an he wasn't pushy about anything . I was more than happy with the price ! I've never walked out of a vets office under 50 bucks ! Staff was also very sweet and gave my baby lots of loving . I will for sure be back and recommend them to everyone .

Love Dr Rodgers and Albers. Dr Taylor was rough with my pets. He has been rude a few times, cutting me off while I am trying to give details about the situation. He likes to talk and not listen. Just to the point and get you out. The staff used to be wonderful, but times have changed. They now have a bunch of kids running the front desk and they are rude. I have been with this vet for 10 years, but am now seeking a new doctor for my fur babies. I think this place has become too big for their britches!!

some of the doctors at this office are good, but that is not the case for all of them. I would avoid Dr. Taylor at all costs. He is very rough with the animals, rude, interrupts instead of listening to what you have to say and it’s pretty clear that he’s a know it all and there’s nothing that you can tell him that he has not already read your pet and knows already. Dr Albers is kind as is Dr Clemons. Dr Rogers is kind, but she is clearly annoyed with having to answer questions. I think these people do this day in day out and so to them it’s a job and they forget that these “patients” are our babies and our family members. Just because they have a degree in animal biology does not always mean that we understand why they are doing what they’re doing and it’s not absurd for us to ask questions. Furthermore, I overheard Dr. Taylor telling an assistant that they were going to run some tests and x-rays that were not necessary but they were going to do it anyways. He also badmouthed one of his assistants to me years ago because he had a different religious preference then Dr. Taylor.

If I could give negative stars I would! Made an appointment with to have my baby put down as she was old and suffering. When I arrived, I was told Dr Taylor was going to see her instead of the Dr I made the appointment with. I had dealings with Dr Taylor in the past with my cat he was cruel to. I should have left right away! He refused to sedate her prior to injecting her, then as he attempted to insert the needle, it blew and he got mad saying well now we have to shave there other arm. He injects her and leaves. My poor baby began to suffer, trying to breath, bit her tongue, I'm yelling for the Dr. He finishe FINALLY comes back in and says, dang she needs more medication than I thought. Seriously!? I will NEVER return to this horrible place!

I understand it is not nice to get a last minute costumer at the end of the day, but they should close earlier if the shifts are too long for their front desk people to be merciful and helpful. I like Rockwall County Veterinary Clinic. The doctors are all super nice. They treat you like a family member. Dr. Albers is sweet but by luck of the draw, Dr. Clemons has been Lil' Pete the stripey kitten and Bear the bulldog's doctor, nearly exclusively. I like her very much, she's sweet but also has a no-nonsense way about her that makes me feel like she's got our backs. I did blurt out the first time I met her "I've had to put a kitten and a puppy down in the last 6 months, you gotta make sure these guys live" and she promised me she'd do her very best. Sorry about that, Dr. Clemons, but I appreciate you understanding my angst.Both Lil' Pete and Bear had hernias and both had testicles. Those got to go! Dr. Clemons did a great job (this was actually Bear's third hernia fix - two from another vet- and this one finally worked) and both have healed up nicely. Both act as if they still have their man'hoods, still wild as ever, both have ZERO chill. Maybe she forgot and left the "chill" in, on accident ;).We boarded Bear the bulldog there for a long weekend and he hated it, got diarrhea and everything. But he hates everything besides eating and slobbering on the couch or on my bed, he's like a man and he's hard to please. They still took great care of him and I would trust Rockwall County Vet Clinic with him, if I have to board him again (and they're cheap)!Have I been to more boutique'y vets before? Yes. Have I been to a vet that I feel knows animals and is making the right decisions before? Yes- but I get a real feeling for this place, the vets are knowledgeable and I feel confident they will take care of us, all of us Northcutts, until the end.

They are down to earth, reasonable in their pricing, friendly and very good at what they do.
Actually have a very accurate and timely comparison on the pricing. Took one of our dogs in Friday for yearly work and a year of heartworm/flea medication. My father took his similar dog in to his vet on Thursday and was happened to mention it and complain about the fees. My bill was 150 less for the same services and similar medicine.
Love the practice and recommend it highly.

We have been bringing our cats to Rockwall County Vet for years. They always have provided fantastic care. Recently my Aunts cat became severely ill and, unfortunately, was diagnosed with FIP. The doctors and nurses were great with the Gracie, keeping her comfortable while they did all of the tests. They were also great with my aunt. They explained everything to us and were genuinely caring. We appreciate their kindness as we went through this tough time.

Boarded my pups here for a night. I'm not a client but I did bring all their shot/vet records so they knew they were current and well taken care of. I take care of my boys better than some people take care of their children. I understand that places need certain policies with which they run their practice. However, there are exceptions to every rule. After asking four different people to please allow my two teacup/miniature boys to be allowed to sleep in the same kennel, they continued to argue it was best for the dogs. I think I know what is best for my dogs, not someone who has never spent a split second with them. I finally conceded as it was only one night of boarding. Only to pick them up to a bill that was 3 times more than what it should have been because they require an initial visit since they aren't patients. No one informed me of this. It was no where on the paperwork and I was already displeased so this sealed the deal for me. If they had informed me up front I could have discussed with them or had them speak with their actual vet. So one night of boarding for two dogs that weigh a COMBINED 10 pounds cost over $100!And of course they came home starving because they don't do well when under stress and being separated at night didn't help the situation. I'm sure the vet is great but I think they need to be flexible with their policies, listen to their patients' parents, and communicate with people who entrust their fur babies to their care. Side note: Tracy the groomer is amazing! I highly recommend. She runs under her own business of TLC Grooming.

When I initially went in to register my two dogs the clinic seemed very clean and organized and everyone was helpful. But we boarded our dogs there for 10 days, and when they came back, they were very skinny, very skiddish, and their teeth and hygiene were very poor, and that was only after a week. I had asked them to board our two dogs together because that is how they sleep every day and night, But when we went to pick them up they not only told us they had separated them but they had also charged us for the two kennels vs the one I originally booked with them. So our bill was twice what we were expecting, For that amount I could have taken them to the Fanciest boarding facility and still came out ahead. I was very very sad when my dogs came home, you could just feel their relief being home. Our last place we took them to, the dogs would pull and run to the doors, this place they are coming home trembling. I will never board them at this facility again.

Dr Albers is great and always spot on, and Dr Taylor not only puts up with my big crazy, hyper pit mix, but truly likes het, and he loves on het and let's her clobber him every time she comes in, and tells her how much he likes her. You can not get better care for your fuzzy family members than this place.

Dr. Albers and Taylor are wonderful and get down to the dogs level to make them comfortable. I never had a vet that my dogs were excited to visit. No trembling or fear. Dale, a pit bull, immediately goes to everybody including front desk and gets his hugs and affection. Dr. Taylor saved his life after a serious mauling and Dale always checks the room and crate where he stayed until able to come home. They know how to communicate with a deaf dog and make him feel safe. Shorty, a Lhasa - Maltese, another rescue is comfortable enough to "talk" and allow exam. Even the latest rescue, an elderly timid poodle who is blind and easily frightened, does not object to visits. She has a terrible fear of being abandoned and they are very thoughtful and considerate of her needs. This review is so detailed to explain the compassionate care that goes along with the excellent treatment that makes this an exceptional vet clinic, not just a business.

We have been going to Rockwall County Veterinary Clinic for more than 22 years and Dr Taylor has been our vet.
Our kids have had several rescued dogs, 4 cats, birds, hamsters and every time we go there we have a friendly experience, the staff seems happy and enjoying the work.
Dr Taylor always takes extra care and time with our animals, he has a lot of experience so we dont have to go through extra tests plus the prices are pretty affordable and this is pretty nice when you have so many animals like we do.
But above all, no much matter how much busy the clinic can be, Dr Taylor is always calm, honest and respectful and this is appreciated.

Love Dr Rodgers and Albers. Dr Taylor was rough with my pets. He has been rude a few times, cutting me off while I am trying to give details about the situation. He likes to talk and not listen. Just to the point and get you out. All of the staff is really nice except Sandy. I still take my pets there but choosy about who I see. Prices are fair and I trust Rodgers and Albers for quality care and making the right choices.

Dr Taylor, has been my Fur Babies Dr from the day he purchased the practice in 1989. He has treated many of my babies and always not only gave them the best and most up to date care he and the staff have been so kind and understanding to me when they had to go over the Rainbow Bridge. Dr Albers also has treated and both are great with the pets and me. The staff over the years has been kind and always welcome us to well vists most of the time call the pet by name as we enter. My little angels have been seen by all 3 vets at this clinic and they are all good and know their stuff. A few years ago when I brought my puppies here for the first time, Dr Taylor let them lick all over his face (something I hadn't let them do to me!), and you could tell he really loves animals. At the moment, Dr. Albers is the doctor that I see when I need to take one of my doggies in. This is a top-notch practice. The staff is nice and professional and there's no funky odor permeating the air like you tend to find at other places. My only complaint and reason I'm not giving this review a 5-star rating would be because the prices are high (for everything, including medication), but that's to be expected when you go to a nice place vs. a low-overhead place. I've been down the low-overhead route before and in the end, it just wasn't worth it with all the nickel & dimeing they would do. Nowadays, I take my little ones somewhere else for routine maintenance and save this place for the serious ailments.

Far and above the best veterinary care in Rockwall area. We have been fortunate to receive excellent care from all of the doctors and staff is equally professional and compassionate. Dr. Taylor has helped us face euthanasia for several of our dogs. Genuine interest in treating our pets and the family that loves them shows in everything they do at RCVC.

Two weeks ago my Min Pin puppy broke his right front leg. I called the vet that I have been going to for years and they told me that he was not in for the day. She said for me to call a vet in Rowlett on highway 66. I did and they were sooRude! Told me they could look at him but wouldn't be able to do anything today....all this time my little Baxter ..is screaming . My husband had taken my 15 yr old Min pin to be put to sleep and I found out he had taken him to Dr. Taylor. Well I called them and they were absolutely incredible . The entire staff is awesome!! I can't say enough about Dr. Taylor . I will never go anywhere else. One more thing his clinic is extremely clean,

I took my 7 year old pit bull here because a friend refered them to me . Dr Taylor was great ! He was so sweet to Dozer and gave him lots of love and answered all our questions and was very friendly...
I took my 7 year old pit bull here because a friend refered them to me . Dr Taylor was great ! He was so sweet to Dozer and gave him lots of love and answered all our questions and was very friendly . He didn't make us feel rushed an he wasn't pushy about anything . I was more than happy with the price ! I've never walked out of a vets office under 50 bucks ! Staff was also very sweet and gave my baby lots of loving . I will for sure be back and recommend them to everyone .
