They wouldn't wash my dog because she had an ear infection. All around they did a horrible job by cleaning her. I've been taking my dog here for at least 8 years. Dr. Peck was able to diagnose a problem on my dog (bladder stones) just by feeling on her abdomen. Of course, we validated the results by having him do x-rays, but we would have never known to have the x-ray done if it weren't for a patient, caring and very knowledgeable Dr. Peck. The staff is also kind and caring. About 5 years ago, I moved from Round Rock to the north side of Georgetown, but I would never think of moving to a different vet because Dr. Peck knows my dog and seems to genuinely care about her health and well-being. It's a shame we were loyal customers for years. Doctor Peck was a good and caring man but now it seems like he has turned his business over to associates and the results are not good. They completely missed the diagnosis of cancer having botched the biopsy and when we insisted on a referral to a specialist they managed to botch that too and talk down to us at the same time. Thank god my wife is tenacious and apparently knew more than the sawbones that did the exam. Instead of going to Forest Creek Id recommend you just take a couple of hundred dollars from your pocket, burn it and then ignore your pet, the results will be the same. Read Less

The Kennel service is great and I love the people at the front desk, especially this one straight blonde hair young lady who has a medium sized body frame. She is very friendly and professional on the phone & when you go into the clinic. BUT, I have been very unhappy with the 2 major sedations we have paid for that cost us well over $600-1000 each time. Our beautiful dog has had ear problems since he was a puppy (now he is almost 11 years old). We moved from Georgetown to Round Rock. We live in Lake Forest so this animal hospital is very close & convenient for us. I like the male vet there, but the female vet never seems to do what she says she is going to do. The first time it happened I thought, ""Well....it was an oversight, but how could she not think I wouldn't want the deep inside of my dog's ears cleaned & just want the outside of his ears cleaned. I could of cleaned the inside of his ears myself with the expensive ear solution I purchased. We paid to sedate him because she said he would have the inner part of his ears cleaned."" When we picked him up & I got him home I noticed his ears still looked dirty inside. When I called her a few days later she said, ""OH, I didn't realize you wanted us to clean the inside of his ears."" Are you kidding me???? I paid to have him sedated so you could thoroughly clean his ears so his ears would have a better chance at draining better. Another time our dog had growths on his pads. So, we recommended we get them removed & send biopsy to the lab. This visit was all more than $1000 (between lab work, visit, sedation, etc. A few days later after my dog lets me look because he was gaurding his paws because he had stitches & was wearing a cone on his head, I notice he still has more tags on his pads. I called the Vet and she says again to me, ""Well I didn't realize you wanted me to remove them all."" Well of course I did! They are just going to continue to grow & he is going to cut them outside and bleed again. That's why I brought him in & paid to sedate him so you could remove the growths from his pads, not just 2 or 3 or them. I was upset. Since then our dog has had a couple more ear infections and we give him an antiobiotic and steroid & it seems to help. BUT now, his ears need cleaning again, but you can bet I will NOT take him to her again. Instead I am going to another VET that will do what they say they are going to do. AND....I will receive the services I pay for. I know my dog will probably never be able to have his ears drain properly because there is something wrong with how his inner ears are formed & cause draining issues. I feel bad for him & we love him very much. I do not like being taken advantage of, but I also don't like confrontation. Read Less

Having moved from Dallas to Round Rock, we took our min pins in for a wellness check. Dr. Breclaw found a small bump on our oldest min pin's ear and did a test and within minutes found out this innocent looking lump/bump was a form of cancer. BRAVO, Dr. Breclaw for pursuing this! And, she scheduled our puppy for surgery the next day. Not only that, but my fiancee wasn't able to be at the bets that day and Dr. Breclaw gave me her cell phone for my fiancee to reach after hours! WHAT A GREAT DOCTOR! I cannot praise Dr. Breclaw enough for her thoroughness, her knowledge and her sincere concern! We highly recommend Dr. Breclaw and will vouch for her professionalism and human touch to all asking! She has probably saved our ""four-legged child's"" life! We think she is AMAZING! Dr. Kunze is a wonderful doctor. She operated on our boy (a 10 year old min pin who is ""our four-legged child) and did a WONDERFUL job! She was thorough, caring and skilled. And, she removed a cancerous growth while maintaining the area of our boy's ears so he can remain a ""dog's dog"" and hear in the same way he had before the surgery. Dr. Kunze cared about our pet, she was FABULOUS! And, her follow up was thoughtful and genuine. She is SUPER! We hope not to have another surgery or a need for chemo but if it's the course of action, we feel greatly relieved that Dr. Kunze will see our boy through. We recommend her completely! Read Less

I wanted to address those who were not happy with the care here. First, a dog is supposed to have their teeth cleaned and checked yearly. We do it every two years. That is part of owning an animal and them suggesting it is not out of line. There are all kinds of mouth diseases dogs get like gingivitis and others. I am sorry about the person's dying dog and you could have called the clinic any time to ask about your dog and thats what I do. Most clinics have the same practice and will crate the dog until they get around to the animal. I do not like that my animals have to stay there crated either waiting for lab work, but that is common practice. I wish you would have contacted Dr. Peck and discussed the problems with his practice as he is a compassionate man. When my dog was dying, he waited for my whole family to get there before we euthanized her as she was suffering so much. He gave her valium and let me hold her in my arms as he injected her. I felt her go limp but knew that she was at peace and she left this world in my arms knowing she was loved. Dr Peck arranged her creamation and I received a sympathy card signed by ALL the staff. Dr. Peck calls me back when I ask information and I have never been disappointed. I ask him to consider the financial costs and he never pushes a product or care. I am so sorry that you had the problems you did and also if the person who only saw a vet tech and not vet, I have never heard of this and you should call Dr. Peck. I believe you have judged in haste and you need to contact Dr. Peck. He would want to know and will address your concerns and make sure it does not happen again. The staff will call you if you ask and they will write it on the front of the chart, you should have asked to be contacted every two hours that your dying dog was there and they probably decided your dog could not take the anesthisia. You have to be proactive in the care of your dogs and ask the questions and demand good care if you feel you are not getting it. I wish the best for you but I have gotten great care for twelve years at this clinic. B Read Less

Justina was acceptional lovely on our first point of contact when I called to make the appointment at 7:48am and when I arrived at the office for my 9:30am appointment. I know she cared and was very empathetic to towards our baby who was gravely ill from having an major ailment with keeping anything down food or liquid wise since Monday and today being Friday. We left her to the vet and the staff to use their medical knowledge and technology to render a remedy to resolve her health issue to make her whole again. I am doing working and I didn't have the assets to open my wallet and they opened their hearts and showed due care and due diligence in our cirucmstances. My opinion and heart go out to those whom I feel wote their comments in haste and out of an emotional upset because their pets are a true extension of the family. The owner whose dog was dying is very tragic, but I wonder in my heart of hearts why would you want to put your dog under for her teeth to be pulled. That would only harm her more and possibly cause her a worse scenario. Well the power of those who know best I feel only wanted what you asked for. So just because a vet says this or that we must use common sense. If there leg looks broken yes xray. If they cannot keep food down as us; take the course of actions they suggest. But really how absolutely foolish. If you were dying of cancer with a brain tumor would you have your teeth pulled What is the point on that. What validity is your anger pointed toward, non other than putting your pain and blame on them. Think before your type your opinion, as words are very powerful. The damage to a business is a tremendous financial strain on their main asset reputation, trust and being able to stay in business for other folks who have and will continue to reap from a caring and vital part of our neighborhood services. I dont' know about anyone else, but when I can literally go around the corner for a vet, that is a blessing. Have a wonderful day . Read Less

My dog has brain cancer and has several months to live. We wanted her to live the rest of her life in comfort. They said she had broken teeth in the back of her jaw probably from seizures so we made an appointment to have them extracted so she won't be in pain. We dropped her off at 8AM. They called at 4PM and said they have not done the surgery yet. WHAT??? She's dying and she was locked up in a crate all day FOR HOURS and they did not call us until 4PM????? Our purpose was to make her comfortable and happy for the rest of her life. If they are too busy to do the surgery-call me and I will take her home so she can be happy with us without being locked up in a tiny crate for 8 hours! Will never go there again! An exam is $36, and has been for at least 5 yrs. A recheck or vaccine appointment is $25. If your dog is 12 and has never had his teeth cleaned, he probably needs to. And $250 isn't a lot to pay for labwork, fluids, and medications, which they require because that is the standard of care for the industry. They have to get paid to maintain the equipment and staff needed. They have a higher quality of care than most clinics. If your pet is getting refill after refill of the same medications, perhaps they need to look at your pet again to see if there shouldn't be a different medical course taken. Read Less

Like a bad car mechanic, you walk in with an issue/non issue and walk out with more issues and less money. Its ridiculous that every time we go in our vet exam charges increases with every visit. Starting off at $25 its now over $58, just for the exam! They wont prescribe refills on ANY medications since the vet feels it may not be the same problem. REALLY? I've only seen you for the past 3-4 months with the same issue and you've prescribed the same drugs. ANY vet that doesn't have the pets first interest in mind and feels that MILKING the owner for exorbitant vet visits every time your drugs stop working is a SICK VET and not one who I want to do business with. We went in for a normal check up last December for shots and vaccination and they recommended our 12 year old dog to get a teeth cleaning (hes never had one in his life) and pay over $250! Your company is immoral and if you love your animal you wont take it to vets who will milk you for every dime. We are taking our pet to someone who CARES about the well being of animals and not their pocketbook. Read Less

The cat is injured which is why we took him in the first place. We asked them to call us and tell us how he was after the 2nd examination, they didnt bother...what a joke. Id rather pay a lawyer and fight this insanity than pay this joke of of a vet any more money. Read Less

I have been going here since 1998 and this is a great place to take your pets. Dr Peck is great but Dr. Carter and Breclaw (sp) are great also. The staff is kind and care greatly about our pets.

I used to take my dog here, now she is gone. They have no bed side manner, the right hand doesn't know what the left hand does. The staff is rude. They wouldn't wash my dog because she had an ear infection. All around they did a horrible job by cleaning her. If I ever get a new dog I will take her to Central Texas Animal Center, they know what they are doing and it is not a guessing game with them. I wished my dog was alive. Read Less

I absolutely recommend Dr. Peck and Forest Creek Animal Hospital. Read Less

They have NO sympathy for dogs dying. Read Less

Read Less
