They have nice staff but my cat was obviously pregnant but the vet said no... a few days later my cat gave birth to 4 kittens. Maybe they had an off day but they didn’t charge like they did so I wouldn’t go back. Other than that they were nice. They do care about animals it seem to me though. Overall pleasant experience. First, I love this place because it is so clean. Although they have a lot of clients, smell is very clean and clear. Second, the price for boarding is very cheap with high value. I m so happy with cases or rooms they have in this store. I am nail technician. I know this is not important about this store. however, I believe they, all doctors and nurses, keep their work very clean and sanitizing their hand a lot of time. the reason is I can see their hand so dry (bad thing, they need to do manicure 💅) because of alcohol, they use in sanitize solution. it makes their hand dry and crack. additionally, in cracking skin is very clean. their hands is not dirty to dry. I was very satisfied with the service last evening. This hospital is not my regular vet but it was the closest to us after my sweet schnauzer was hit by a car in a freak accident. The front desk staff were very empathetic of the situation and the nurse came and got our boy Stewie right away. Dr. Wendy Carter was so sweet and patient and very understanding. Our furbabies are our children and are our family. So when this tragic thing happened they helped us the best way they know, with love, patience and compassion. What a pleasant experience! We just had our first visit here.  We took our new puppy in for a new puppy exam. They gave our new puppy a thorough check over in a totally stress free way, with one of their calm mature dogs attending, and watching. The reception ladies were super nice... THE VET... ugh did not like her one bit... I took my yorkie because he wasn't eating or drinking anything.. As soon as the vet walks in the room she starts naming diseases or things that could be wrong with him not having done any test.. (of course scaring the crap out of me and wanting me to do several tests..) she gives you this straight face like she doesn't give a crap. Not smiling one bit to try make you feel better and not worry too much. They did lab work and xrays.. but still ended up taking him to another emergency care clinic.. Won't be taking my baby back here.. ADVICE - SMILE MORE LADY!!!! and you shouldnt start by saying peoples pets could have things and saying big ass words people don't know.. Once again this staff has outdone themselves. They are absolutely phenomenal. From the front desk to the nurses to the drs. We had an hour visit and it was so detailed and the way they are with my pitbull. It's amazing. I've been to other vets... and no bueno. There are at a whole new level. I've seen three of the drs. Same nurses and I love them all. From them being super friendly and having awesome tattoos and staying creative on redirecting and helping my puppy. The drs are so well educated and gives advice when needed. I've laughed. I've cried here. The amount of passion they all have is unreal. I own my own hair salon and to me customer service is huge. Dr. Downs is absolutely awesome! First time I took Image, she sat in the floor with him so he'd feel more comfortable. Every time I need to take one of my fur babies in, she explains EVERTHING...which is great. I never have doubts afterwards. I have greyhounds, so the fact she once adopted one, made me feel way more comfortable...with all the issues with greyhounds, good to know she is knowledgeable and sensitive!! Read Less

I would be cautious using this vet. I brought my sweet, 3 year old dog, into the vet about 4 weeks ago (maybe 5). Our dog had been gaining weight quickly, but not eating. She was lethargic and her fur was becoming dull and thin. The vet told us that we need to change her diet. I explained that our dog rarely eats. She then went into asking if "my husband slips the dog burgers and fries when I'm not home". I politely explained this was not the case. Anyways, she did check her thyroid and when that came back normal, she once again told us that we just need to change her diet. So we did. Our sweet, young dog died very suddenly three weeks after this appointment. We will never know what caused her death, but I am confident if the vet would have taken me a little more seriously in regards to our dog's symptoms, we could have had more time with our girl. I do not want this for anyone else's furbaby. If you have a gut feeling something is wrong, go get a second opinion. Be cautious with this place... Read Less

I have been both a client, and then worked as a vet tech at Animal Hospital of Rowlett, and hands-down, they are the best I ever worked for, or had care for my pets. The doctors are excellent and they have a highly qualified staff. All are ethical, compassionate, and committed to their patients and clients. Routine procedure performed, complications arose the next day. First vet would not take the call, receptionist was not helpful or responsive, second attempt to connect with dr was blocked again by the front desk. Vet was more concerned w how we could have caused any post surgery problems than the possibility of it being a surgical mistake and helping resolve the situation. Poor communication from the beginning and throughout experience. More testing was offered- on our dime. Procedure was listed as a low cost with a price emailed to us then surprised by an additional $50+ office visit fee that was not mentioned before arriving. Will not be going back. Our experiences here have always went well. The staff are super kind and seem to always remember our dog babies. The doctors seem pretty okay as well and my dogs have been receptive to them. They have missed a step or two on several occasions especially when we boarded our dogs but nothing too major. Overall,  good experience for us. Read Less

Had to take one of my pups to the vet for the first time for something other than routine shots (his body was jerking and he wouldn't look at me when I called him). I just moved to the area and looked up the closest animal clinic, and was lucky to find this place. Customer service was excellent, from the time I called until I picked up my dog at closing time. I arrived at the clinic at noon, which is when the doctors go to lunch, but was told I could leave my dog and a doctor would look at him before going to lunch. As I was driving home, Dr. Carter called me to say she had taken a look at my dog and told me what she thought might be wrong with him and how she was going to treat him. I received an update about 2 hours later and picked up my dog right before closing so that the doctor had time to observe and make sure my dog was well enough to go home. The doctor and staff communicated with me through every step of this scary process, and I am so grateful to have a great veterinarian close by. Read Less
