Clean, Professional, Caring, Affordable. From my initial call, Susan was professional and Very Informative. Dr. Horton and the Vet Tech who processed us were , Kind, Gentle, and Professional. Dr. Horton conducted a throughout examination of my pet. She explained all treatment options, and the Vet Tech explained what the charges would be. She also conducted my pets first treatment, as a demonstration for me over the next ten days. The office is clean as well as the exam rooms. I came in here because my mom has been coming here for years. My first visit it was great. They helped me out as a new pet owner they adviced and gave me a prescription to help out my new puppy. Everyone was so loving. My puppy started to have soft stool and so I had to take him to a 24 hour vet because it was after hours. They told me almost completely different information than what affordable pet care had said. Even advised to stop giving my puppy the medication Affordable pet care had suggested. Of course I was very upset so I called them. The doctor was so nice called me and apologized. She explained everything and reassured me that she would never do harm. People are awesome here! I took my cat because she had an emergency and they were good with her. She had to be put down because of kidney disease and they were really good about explaining the process and giving us the time to say our goodbyes. After a couple of weeks we receive a card telling us how sorry they were for our loss and it was sing by everyone in this office! Friendly staff however, there is nothing "affordable" about this vet. They wanted $1100 to remove a benign cyst from my cat's neck. Took him to Banfield and enrolled in their maintenance plan. Plan enrollment and first month fees as well as the surgical equipment used came to $250. That was for a dental cleaning that came with the plan, they just removed the cyst while he was under for his dental cleaning. You be the judge. Read Less

I came here for a second opinion after getting what I thought was an outlandish estimate for dental procedure for my dog. APC completed the procedure for less than half of the best case estimate from my neighborhood vet. In the two trips here I have been very happy with the staff. Read Less

My puppy was very ill, and we had taken him to another facility where the doctor walked in and said" oh he's still alive," My heart was so crushed at this comment. I called a lot of places looking for a walkin office and found this clinic. I was able to make an 11am appointment and got seen within 5 min. The staff was very friendly and kind. My 14 year old had two accidents which I really felt bad about and tried to clean it up. But the staff told me not to worry about it at all and that they would clean it up, they really didn't make me feel bad at all. I was able to see Dr. Ortiz today, who was very professional and very easy to speak to. I brought in my dog because he was bleeding from his front left elbow, because he is a long haired dog it was hard to see how it happened . Dr Ortiz was able to show me that it wasn't a cut but inflammation from an infection that he got .It got to the point where his skin started seeping the blood from being so inflamed. She sent us home with inflammatory medication and some pain relieving medicine. We weren't at all coerced into doing a bunch of test or made to feel bad about his gums and teeth he also has cataracts which I can't afford to fix but wasn't made to feel bad about. This place was amazing and moderately priced for people who do not qualify for free or discounted spay/neuter services. My cat is healing up very nicely from her spay with embedded stiches. The staff was attentive and very friendly. I would go back here again for regular services if it wasn't farther than my usual vet's office. I've taken various cats here for years. The staff is friendly, they dote on the animals, they're loving and kind toward them, and they offer pain meds when there's a need. Another vet I've used was not as thoughtful. No pain meds post-spay, no E-collars, we felt like just a chart number. That isn't the case with APC. We won't take our cat to any other vet. Read Less

I love the care they provide for pets, but last time I went the lady was trying to upsell to me so much and I just wanted a basic rabies shot for my boy. And I could hear judgement when I didn't say yes to everything she suggested. Made me not want to go there anymore. But I need affordable care for my boy, so I sure hope they fix that Read Less

We had a Doggy 911! Our newly adopted Pug had a tapeworm! We were so worried that we called this place first thing in the morning (8am) and they had an appointment for us at 11am the same day! We were in and out with the medicine and a rabies and distemper vaccination for under $70. They also had a military discount. APC basse is Amazing! I had the best experience! It's been about 6 years since I've had a dog and we brought sunshine into our home unexpected! I went in for a check up and vaccines to find out she has parvo. The staff, especially Amanda and Dr. Horton were kind enough to donate some of the necessary items I needed from a previous customer who donated it to them. My kids and I couldn't have been more appreciative for this and for also staying late just to make sure she would be okay. Sunshine has become a part of our family and we are so thankful for APC! Today I had to take my baby to be euthanized and the entire team from on the phone, to Greg when I came in & all the vet techs and esp. Dr. Earl was so compassionate, kind and professional on this really difficult day. Both me and Slinky were handled with the most professional kid gloves I've ever seen in a vet office. TY so much today from getting me in on very short notice to offering coffee/bottled water right away. For handling the arrangements I was handed a lovely brochure with urn options, the prices all explained even little details like a brass plate for the urn, which I did choose. My daughter took her dog in for one issue - have her dogs ears checked. They swabbed his ears and billed her over $100 saying that his ears were just a little irritated but no infection had been found. When the doc came in he talked about allergies for 15 minutes and then added "he might need a professional teeth cleaning to get some of that tartar buildup off but you can take care of a lot of it by simply brushing more diligently. Also, we're having an August sale!" The nurse says "yeah, it's a great deal." Then my daughter gets an estimate of the dental procedure that is between $302 and $560 which included an 'August Dental Discount' of $33.00. The estimate also included some shots which her dog already has (rabies, distemper, etc).So ask yourself, "what do you think the final price will be IF she had her pet go through the procedure?" By the way, my daughter walked out when they mentioned a possible tooth extraction of leftover BABY TEETH at $50 a pop. This is a 3 year old dog. She brushes his teeth every 2-3 days. Can you believe this? My daughter got home and gently used a dental scaler and the tartar on all three teeth just slid right off. As a father, when I called to inquire how they arrived at the bill's price, they mumbeled some crap and mysteriously the call was disconnected. Enough said. Make sure you don't send a young son or daughter to this place. They may come out with a bill close to a college tuition bill. Read Less

I adore this place and won't use anyone else. I just happened to find them online when I moved downtown. I have a 6 year old Yorkie that hated going to vet until we started going here. Our nervous rescue puppy Madison had been neglected and was very frightened when we first got her at about 3.5 months. The staff was so calm and kind to her. She got a ton of love from everyone and by the time we left she wasn't do frightened anymore! Our rescue puppy, Maggie used to go here and she loved the staff as well. When they found out she had been killed, they were so kind and even sent us a card with everyone's signature. It still makes me tear up. The staff is so friendly and caring. I could not recommend a better place for your animals to be cared for. I will also say as far as pricing goes, they are very fair and have helped me with everything! Prices are very reasonable. The name literally holds true to the price if service. I have a small Chihuahua puppy so that maybe the reason for my bill to be a little low but they take walk ins and can work you in pretty fast. The vet is very knowledgeable and nice. Had been taking him there for years and when I was made to wait longer than necessary for a basic shot I decided not to take him my dog there anymore & asked to be removed from the mailing list. 6 weeks later I am still receiving notices. Probably adequate place for routine health check or vaccinations but do not recommend taking sick dog there for diagnosis. After $595 still no answers. Advised need more testing. Went to another vet and was given good feedback, medication and my dog is much better. My new vet has made several follow up calls inquiring on my dogs progress. If I can give half a star I would. They should change their name as "inflated pet care". They would try to rip people off. We brought our dog here last December for her eye surgery. She has about 5 growths both eyes. The day of her operation, they pointed out that they are removing 2 growths only, which is different than what they first told us. We insisted on what they are supposed to do and they did the operation.This month we brought our dog again for an exam because she is losing weight too much and we found out she has Stomach Cancer. Being an owner of the same dog for 11 years you would feel devastated. They didn't even show sympathy when suggesting euthanasia and offered to do it the same day. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I've been there twice in the past month and both times the two white, older female receptionists were talking so much trash about the President of the United States. When I go to APC, I don't need to hear about politics. I'm concerned about my dogs and listening to them speak about the POTUS in such an appalling way, I will take my dogs somewhere else and just pay the extra money. Although what precipitated my Sarin's problem was not discovered, Dr. Mims provided excellent, empathic care, was attentive to cost, and clear in explaining whys and whats. We recently bought our daughter a puppy yorkie, and I knew we needed to find a vet right away because our puppy was needing her shots fairly soon. I wanted a vet that took time and really listened to concerns or answered any question I had but also was reasonable on cost. Afordable pet car is exactly that. Everyone is very pleasent and accommodating and don't mind explaining exactly what they are doing and how they can help. Took my cat to get an allergy shot, the vet was very rough with her. He seemed mean and treated me like as if i was a little naive girl. After he told me what medications they were going to have to give my cat I asked how much it would cost and he seemed very rude and sighed loud and left the room to check the price. I TOLD HER I TRUST YOU WITH MY ANIMAL AND YOU HAVE THE NERVE TO TELL ME THAT!! THATS LIKE REMOVING ITS LEGS AND TELLING ME SORRY!!! WELL AFTER THAT I LIVED IN AN APARTMENT SO I HAD TOO SPEND MORE TIME & MONEY TO BUY SEPERATE LITTER AND TAKE HIM TO ANOTHER VET TO FIX THERE MISTAKE! Our kitty jumped from our fireplace and ended up on a chair leg and was shortly afterwards limping and crying. We knew we needed to take her to a vet, but as it was 2:30 in the morning, our options were limited. We ended up taking her to an emergency vet who wanted to charge us over $500 for an exam, an x-ray and a bandage. When I told them I could not afford it, they turned me away. In the morning, I called Affordable Pet Care and spoke with Monique who was very helpful and friendly. She squeezed in an appointment as soon as possible and gave me an estimate over the phone (about 1/3 the cost of the ER vet).
