We've been using AAH for about a 9 months now with our first dog and have never been disappointed. They're dedicated and kind and always willing to put up with my 1 million questions. All of the doctor and techs are extremely easy to work with and willing to help any way that they can. Since getting our second dog, they have eased our stress by a ton. Everyone is willing to either answer a question directly, or find someone who can. Both of our puppies are happy and healthy because of AAH. Highly recommend for old and new pet owners. My dog became very ill and the location of AAH was the closest to the area I live in. I made an appointment and met with Dr. Mata. To me she came off a little rude and pre-occupied, but she was able to quickly diagnose my pet and give her the appropriate medicine. She was better within a week, thank god!!! The vet techs and front desk employees are super nice and very informative. My dog loved all of them! I went back to update my dog's shots two weeks later and they gave me great customer service again. Also the facility is very clean. Just wish that construction on Potranco would clear up! Read Less

We took our dogs, Bridget and Bruno, to Amigo from the moment we got them from the shelter. Everyone is caring and compassionate. My dogs hated having their nails trimmed and they always took care of them when it came time to trim them. They gave us tips and tricks on how to get them to walk on a leash. When Bridget started having issues walking, Dr. Mata thought it could be arthritis or hip displasia. We took her in and left her (because they had to put her to sleep to do the x-rays.) We got a call a few hours later saying that she had hip displasia and that they were prescribing her medicine to help. We were given pain meds along with other meds to help her hips. The last time we took her in for a trim she was having issues with her hip and they were so gentle while holding her and trimming her nails. Didn't quite meet my expectations of how a veterinarian clinic should operate. Honestly, how are you going to examine my cat thoroughly in a large room filled with barking dogs? By throwing a towel over her? No thanks. Going to vet is scary enough as it is, let's not make it worse. Read Less

My pitty Bamboo was here as new patients today. The staff was so wonderful in making sure she was comfortable and safe. I've never liked an animal hospital as much as this location. The atmosphere is extremely caring, and you can watch you pets and the services they are receiving since there are windows every where. They also give a military discount! I'm very glad I switched. Dr. Tapia and her whole staff at Amigo Animal hospital are excellent in caring for my pet. In a recent dental cleaning for my dog they made me feel comfortable at the very start with the drop off. They were extremely caring and accommodating. Dr. Tapia kept me informed with calls and text messages throughout the procedure. They made sure my dog was comfortable and cared for after as well. My dog is visibly happier now with a new energy because her teeth are now in a much better state. Of those things dearest to me are my children; both two and four legged. I want to say "Thank you", from the bottom of my heart to Dr. Tapir and the Amigo staff. Our Chuy has changed over night...literally! When we brought him in, he would not eat, was listless and would not play. My family purchased a Maltipoo baby girl, Phoebe, and we contacted Amigo Animal Hospital to do her initial checkup and initial shots. The entire staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They answered all my questions and gave me product samples to see what was best for our pet. After any appointments, the always did a follow up the check on her. I wouldn't take Phoebe anywhere else. We moved our two old pups from Banfield (had used amigo for saying goodbye to our military working fog, and for Our new adopted shelter dogs), and I'm glad I did. My dog was the victim of being attacked and had a tiny bite on his head. I took him to get looked over, they stitched him up and gave him med. he developed an infection on his face a few days later. I dropped him off in the morning because I had to work that day. I got a call from the vet about an hour later saying they are going to have to clean and trim off some dead skin but he should be okay that I can pick him up around 5pm. The next call I got was them telling me to come say goodbye because there was to much dead skin on his head and he wouldn't be able to live like that without a lot of pain. I understand why I had to put him down BUT what I hated the most about everything is when I went to go put him to sleep one of the vets asked me where I took him to get treated first BECAUSE they should of put a drain tube on the wound that was infected. When I told her I came here she had that "oh sh!*" look on her face then just kept quiet. So my dog would probably be still alive if weren't for the incompetence of some of the vets. I WILL NEVER USE THIS VET CLINC AGAIN plus they were expensive!!!!!!!!!!!! Read Less

I was hesitant to try a new vet for my cats, however, Amigo is very close to my home so I decided to give them a try. To my delight, I was extremely happy with not only the veterinarian, but the office staff as well. My cats are like my kids.... I have had them for years and take better care of them than I do myself. Dr. Tapia is a wonderful veterinarian - very knowledgeable, professional, thorough and caring. Everyone in the ofice has been excellent. I first went to Amigo after a friend found a 3 week old kitten on the side of the road and I ended up with him. He was very sick, but thanks to Dr. Mata and everyone at Amigo, he's now a healthy nine months old and thriving. They genuinely care about their patients and will do whatever they have to to make sure the animals are taken care of and their owners are at ease. Even when there was a small issue caused by miscommunication, the office was quick to right the problem as soon as they realized what happened. I can't recommend them enough. They are a little higher priced than some other vets, but I feel that if you can afford it, it's very well worth it for the level of care your pets will receive. Read Less

I was so pleasantly surprised by how good the customer service and animal care were. My dog was scared and acted aggressively and they handled it with tender love and patience. No one made me feel like a bad owner for having a rescue dog who wasn't perfect, and that is a new one for me. The vet took the time to get to know my dog and his history and offered many different treatment options. The staff is friendly, but they are extremely overpriced. They charge $50 for a $.10 catheter that most of its charge anywhere from five to $10. I had to take my dog to days in a row there and both times they charge me for an exam fee of $50, avoid this place if you want to save money!!!!!!! Read Less

I first came here because they had the best price and the most convenient appt time to get a health certificate for a pup I was shipping. I came back because they are fabulous! The entire staff is friendly, helpful & knowledgable. I have no more puppies, but I will not be bringing my 3 Belgian Malinois anywhere else. Oh, almost forgot to mention their military discount!
