We knew that our 17 year old cat, Chloe, was near the end, and I cried all the way to the vet's office. They were wonderful! We were put in a room where the tech took his vitals. She returned with a towel and two hot water bottles because "his temperature is low and I don't want him to be cold." Dr. Babbit came in and talked to us about options. He was very caring, knowledgable, and had a sense of humor (used at the right times to keep me centered). They brought a detailed list of things we could do for Chloe. We chose a blood test - which showed that his kidneys were failing. When we decided Chloe should no longer have to bear his pains, they took him into another room, added a port, and gave him a sedative. Dr. Babbit returned, and asked if we were ready. He then gave Chloe two shots and he died very peacefully. It was so emotional for us because he had been with us for 16+ years. They wrapped Chloe in a towel and placed him in a bag. We took him home and buried him in our backyard. I was so worried about this entire visit because we had never been to Angel of Mercy - it was a Saturday, so our regular vet was closed. We could not have asked for any vet group who was more caring, concerned, and ready to do whatever we wanted for Chloe. I highly recommend this place - for critical care, and regular vet care, too. It is over an hour from our home, so we cannot take our pets there regularly. A sweet send-off for a sweet, loving cat!Sherry S. Willome Read Less
