Do not take you pet here! They do not care about your pup, just the money in your pocket. I brought my dog here because of a wound on her rib cage that was extremely swollen. They told me nothing was wrong, nothing was inside her, and there was nothing they could do. Then they ran a bunch of un necessary blood tests which my vet later told me should have never been done. Anyway $400 later they said nothing was wrong, gave me some pain pills and sent me on my way. She got worse and ended up having two major surgeries at my actual vet because she had a four inch piece of wood stuck in her. Long sorry short all the surgeries and incensions would have never happened if the wood would have been caught on the first visit to this clinic. Read Less

My dog was hit by a car and I immediately rushed him over to this hospital. The staff right away took control and the doctor had answers for me as soon as possible. Everyone treated my dog as if he were their own and gave him all the love and care and attention that he needed while he was in brutal pain. I’m so very thankful for all the staff for being as attentive and understanding as they all were to me this weekend! And I’m so very grateful that I was able to walk away with the safe pain-free pup! This animal hospital is not very reliable, in my opinion. I went in August 16, 2017 because my kitten (8 months) had Pyometra, which is a life threatening infection that requires immediate surgery. I was told by the doctor on duty that the surgery was going to be $2000.00 and there was no guarantee my kitten would make it, that she looked bad off and if I couldn't afford it I should consider putting her down, not very comforting in a time of crisis. I went to Becker animal hospital, where they did the EXACT same surgery for $433.00 because they go based off of weight and age. Which was 5X's cheaper than what "Animal Emergency Room" was charging. Becker is under new management, my cat is alive and well. Animal Emergency Room is just after the money, Poking your eyes out and taking advantage of people who are scared and will do anything for their pets. if you go here, call Becker and get a quote for whatever procedure this animal hospital tells you, you need. trust me, you will save THOUSANDS of dollars. Went on a recommendation and a bit of an emergency.... with the exception of RICH the receptionist (quite honestly an amazingly friendly human being) the back of house staff was less than professional... in particular 1 tech or nurse not sure what her position was there but her name is Gretchen.... what a rude person... I don't make much, so I have to make some hard decisions when it comes to spending money on possibilities of the health of my pet, therefore my hard earned money when spent is well thought out. Having said that I was with the vet trying to figure out what was ailing my pup, considering the test that are available I myself opted for the Fecal Parasite test as the best option being that I had practically no funds for the amount of full Healthcare my pup required. We were told that the test would take 15 min... understandably, it is never the time they say it is because of the nature of the industry, medical.... so after 30min of waiting I popped my head into the back of house just to get an update, minor question "how much longer will the test take"... mind you we have been there for a total of 3 1/2 hours... and only this test was run... but before I could finish asking my question GRETCHEN decided to cut me off and insert a rude two cents- "what? Spill it... what do you want?... this is an emergency room" she certainly DID NOT look like she was in an EMERGENCY.... she bobbed her head like a chicken, and used a tone that was quite condescending.... after all that, and pissing me off with her comment, my wife and I decided this place does not need our business and we do not need their service or lack thereof I should say. All that trouble and the one that suffered was my little pup, poor little guy. I'm sure your pet can survive in a much cleaner and more interested Veterinary clinic... additionally I know someone from this clinic will respond on this review, I hope they do, I will not do a private message.... and maybe they'll find my "file" or perhaps they won't, but if you decide to bring your pup here I sure do hope they've cleaned up their act. Before anything I want to thank y'all for everything y'all basically saved my baby. [princess] So my dog was attacked by one of my cats 3 weeks ago she had a bad eye injury that she wasn't able to open her eye. I had taken her to a emergency vet the day after they gave her meds and everything, I went back 3 days later they said everything was good.. well she got worse after that her eye was getting infected to the point she could've lost her eye. My vet end up saying we have an emergency she called this clinic. I went over and right away they took her in. The staff and vet where basically amazing these are people who actually care about animals. this vet saved my dogs eye and princess is much better her eye is now healed. Thank you guysRead Less

Worst experience ever last night. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. Our dog was diagnosed with skin cancer by Becker Animal Hospital. My wife wanted a second opinion and went to Animal Emergency Room. My wife took her dog there about 6 weeks ago. The doctor she spoke with got the records from Becker and agreed with the findings. He told my wife the dog probably had 3 months to live and whenever she felt the time was right, she could bring him back to be put to sleep. My wife LOVES this dog. The cancer has caused a festering sore which covers most of his upper leg. Nothing can be done for this other than keeping it cleaned and covered. We were told it would not heal. The dog has had good days and bad days. After much praying and soul searching my wife decided that last night would be the night to put him to sleep. The doctor on duty was a different doctor. When my wife was called to the back, the doctor started berating my wife for wanting to kill a healthy dog. The doctor had not even bothered looking at the file on the dog. Did not care what the other doctors had told her. She said an amputation should be done. No clue that the cancer was not isolated and that this would not solve the problem. My wife came home sobbing. I am lucky I was not there to speak my mind to the "doctor". I am still considering legal action for the mental anguish her berating has put my wife through. Will never set foot in that place again. You had the best, friendliest staff ever! That cute blonde nurse was absolutely fantastic with my pets and they all loved her!! My brother took his dog after being hit by a car and everyone there was very friendly and kept him posted as she was recovering. He's been visiting often and they have been. Very welcoming every time he's gone. Read Less

They kept us waiting for close to 4 hours because they had emergencies, even if they were there after us, at the end they didn't even clean my dog's wound, just prescribed some medicine and send me back to my Vet, not before charging obviously for the first class service. I'D NEVER EVER BEEN TREATED SO BAD, I'm glad we're out of that place for good ( it's not the first time there yet YES the first time being treated that way) I have to assume this is a new "vet" never go see her, for your own good and your pet as well, her name by the way is Ivonne Magallan, worst ever. I find odd how the only three reviews that mention their pet dying y'all just mysteriously don't have the records. I read these reviews before I went but after reading reviews from 4 others places I got them mixed up and thought it was another place or I would have not of gone. The vet told me that my dog has a bladder issue and needed 3 days hospitalization. I took the same x-rays to another vet who said the bladder is not even the problem. She had an enlarged heart but your vet couldn't tell me that. Then between your vet and the technician I was getting two different stories and the technician didn't even remember that my dog urinated when I got there. He was saying that she defecated. When I tried to explain that to the vet he was getting upset telling me well he's just a technician. If he's just a technician he should not have been coming into the room and saying anything to me about what was going on if he does not know. I will never go back or ever recommend this place to anyone!! Read Less

By far the best! I can't even find the words to express how grateful I am for this place and their AMAZING staff. Our dog wasn't doing well at all and the staff was very caring and helpful. These are people who really love animals and have your pets best at heart. We brought our baby girl Aiko in for scary symptoms of parvo. Thank God it wasn't & they were so informative & attentive. Reasonably priced & very knowledgeable. Gave us comfort in knowing she was gonna be okay. Thank you for the quick care we received so late at night. send us home with strong antibiotics & meds for hookworms & more helpful info. I took my cat Milo in because he got bit by a spider and his face and throat started to swell up. I called before I went and Rich was extremely helpful and gave me all the info I needed including a rough estimate of the costs. When I got there, there was no where to sit but they immediately took Milo back to check him out. They were attentive and communicated with me throughout the entire process. Within a few hours (they had a full house) they were able to treat him and send him on his way. The price was reasonable and fair. Milo was back to normal the very next day and the swelling has gone down almost completely. After 48 hours of Milo getting discharged Rich called us to check in and that made me happy knowing that these guys really care about my little guy even though he was a little bit (a lot) of a trouble maker. I love this place as my animals er. Becker was expensive and yes I had only one good with becker but I've had Three positive visits from this Er. The staff is nice and don't mind talkers and the cats are adorable. They don't force me to take anything or do anything I don't want to. They give me cheap and expensive options as opposed to becker. The quality of care provided is excellent. All of the ER vets, technicians, and staff provided my sick kitty with the best treatment protocols to first attend to immediate issues as well as address possible complications. Everyone was attentive, caring, and dedicated to making sure the best outcome could be achieved to help my kitty recover. I pretty much paid them to kill my puppy never going there again for anything. Be careful they try to pressure you into getting all the treatments to charge you out the wazoo, well their treatments killed my dog, so much for their expertise. Don't go there if you care for your animals please there's plenty of places you can go, there's other places you can go that are more reputable. Read Less

I've had nothing but positive, professional experiences with this hospital for more than 10 years. The staff has met me at the door each time to immediately assist me and my dogs were seen by staff promptly. The charges were reasonable and always clearly explained in terms of what we could do to safely stabilize the situation until I could take my pet to be seen by regular vet the following day. Upon follow ups my vet has confirmed each time that the treatment and meds provided by AER were appropriate and prices reasonable. After dealing with another local er clinic's life threatening misdiagnosis of my chihuahua, this is the only er I am confident in entrusting my pets' care to. Thank u! Read Less

The staff saved my cat's life. She needed a possible blood transfusion and one of beautiful donor cats gave blood... bless his heart. They monitored my cat through the night and she started to pull through on her own and did not need the transfusion. I thank the staff for diligently monitoring her and being conservative instead of jumping in and giving the transfusion, which can cause other major problems I learned.
