I will never be taking my furr baby there again. We took my baby in because she seemed to have injured herself while coming down the stairs, she couldnt walk and was crying and shaking. When i got to the banfield location, i told the lady that my puppy seemed to be in alot of pain and i had no clue what was going on. She told me that the Dr was in a room so it might be a while to talk to her. She went to the back and came back and told me that the Dr had said that she couldnt see her, i even offered to wait after she was done with the other dogs that had scheduled appointments and even like that she showed no sympathy and said she couldnt see her at all but to schedule an appt for another day. Keep in mind that it clearly says on the wall that INJURED PATIENTS come first. The lady at the front started calling other banfield locations and she came to tell me that one location could see her til tomorrow. TOMORROW?!?! If anyone can relate, seeing your furr baby in pain and not knowing what it could be is the worst feeling in the world. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of compassion and professionalism. Time to cancel my insurance and start looking for a new vet. Read Less

Finally a tech came out of the back room and asked how she could help. I explained what had happened, and after apologizing for the incident, asked IF I HAD AN APPOINTMENT. I told her no, the incident had NOT been planned; after apologizing again, went on to explain they don't accept walk-ins. The puppy was bleeding and in obvious distress! These are the among the BEST Banfield docs and staff I have ever worked with. Ive dealt with ones in Birmingham and Little Rock. Go there if you want to see bad.  Kennel cough is not always serious and I am sorry to say but it is your fault for waiting a week to take your little one in. It is not their responsibility to watch your dog for you. If your pet was getting more ill--  you should take the initiative and bring them to an emergency vet or schedule a walk in. Research! Just like you would for a bi-pedal loved one. I am very sorry for your loss, but it is not their fault she passed away. You should be blaming the facility where she got kennel cough. Its called "kennel" cough for a reason. BUT....This Banfield is superior. They go above and beyond for all your pets. I have 5 girls (ranging from 85-12 lbs) and they treat them all of them same. Dr. Navarro gets down on the floor EVERYTIME and greets them. They performed surgery ASAP because I was worried about a growth even though it was scheduled for two weeks out. I come in with questions just like any pet parent should and they have ALWAYS given me the proper warnings. I, also, have always asked the right questions. Just like a doctor for a human you would still ask questions. You need to speak for your pet, since they cannot. Read Less

I wish it was possible to give this place 1/2 a star because their service SUCKS. Do not bring your animal here if they are  very sick. I took my cat last week because his bladder was blocked. I went there telling them what was wrong with him just for them to confirm what I already knew. So then one of the girls shows me a $500 and something bill and says "we can do the procedure but since he will need to stay over night you will have  come back at 6 and take him to another animal hospital.( and by the way he would have an IV and catheter in him)"I told them no I didn't need their services but I was really mad that they wasted my TIME & MONEY. Oh and the vet was like " this is very serious and he needs to go somewhere right away" I felt like telling her no SH**!! that's why I brought him here. But in the end I found a better animal hospital and my cat is all better! But no thanks to BANFIELD ANIMAL HOSPITAL In alamo ranch! Read Less

By far the worst and rudest Banfield I have been to so far. The vet was a jerk and insulted my puppy because he was not a normal color for a bull terrier! He also didn't go over any of the things with my puppy. I had to read it on the paper they give and ask a different vet. He also prescribed drugs for my puppy without going over the side effects or what the drug was even for!The girls at the front desk are so rude when you try talking to them over the phone. I tried to change the date for an appointment for my puppy and she would not listen to the day I was asking for. She was trying to rush me off the phone and told me to call back to change the appointment to the right day! All this Banfield wants to do is take your money and rush you out the door. They don't seem like they care about your pet at all! Read Less

I took my pet there for care, as it was convenient and I assumed inexpensive. He turned out to be extremely ill, of which, and after over $1500 the vets could not determine. I immediately took him to my primary vet of my other pets and he was diagnosed in less than 2 weeks with a fatal disease. The vets at this clinic are incredibly incompetent, and the business is unprofessional. I showed up for many of my scheduled appointments (they had me coming at least 1x a week) and they had to turn me away because they were overbooked. No more than 3 wks ago I even saw a woman rush her dying dog to the location, as the pet was on its last vet. They turned her away saying there was no vet on site (as it was about 30min after hours). The woman frantically called other vets outside of the clinic as the dog took it's last breath- some time later, the vet walked out of the clinic. They are absolutely horrible and if I had any say, would revoke their licenses to practice. Feel free to message with any questions!

Read Less
