I guess I could and should have written a review about my miserable experience here awhile ago, but I was honestly way too heart broken to even considering lashing out at people, and I wasn't even a Yelp member yet anyway. But now it's time for my two cents, for whatever it's worth, for as I was driving by them today and the tears started welling up in my eyes, I felt it was time to finally write something. I was here at Cibolo Vet office three times last year with my dog. I KNEW something was wrong with him and was seeking answers. When you truly love your pet, and when you are an attentive owner like I am and really know your pet, you KNOW when something is off. This vet (Dr. Fehlis as I recall) ran a bunch of expensive blood work tests on each of my visits that spanned a period of several months. Each time nothing was found. Fearing and knowing in my gut that something was still wrong, I eventually changed vets and got a second opinion. My new vet this time, instead of running duplicative blood work tests that were finding nothing, had the good sense to take some x-rays. and discovered in his first chest film that Cibolo never bothered to take, a very advanced and obvious cancer that had apparently been manifest for months, and growing that whole time. This then began a several months long heartbreaking and losing battle with advanced cancer, that had been given an unnecessarily long head start bc Cibolo failed to detect anything. I'm someone who will DO ANYTHING and SPEND ANYTHING on my pets, but just give me the correct information please to give me a fighting chance. They let me and my dog down miserably. Sadly, after several months fighting a losing fight, I had to eventually put him down. This is something I will never forget and probably never forgive, how could I? If this was a human being there would surely be a lawsuit, wouldn't there? But I don't want to sue these people even if I could, it doesn't bring my dog back or make any easier the tough last few months of his and our lives together, But fair enough though I should tell what happened, and let others make informed choices about where to bring their pets. I don't think the vets and staff at Cibolo are necessarily bad people at all, I'm not saying that, but they DID drop the ball big time here, and it broke my heart and contributed to my dog's death .
