They are great for scheduled appointments and I have always had great experiences for schedule checks up or illness visits that could be seen several days later (rashes and such). I have refered several friends to this office and I have left 4 and 5 star reviews in the past. But if you choose this location as your vet have a back up for serious acute illness. I realize they don't handle emergencies but they are not willing to work you in if your baby is sick to triage the actual level of care that is necessary. I called yesterday. My small dog had been vomiting every 2 to 3 hours for 48 hours and had begun shaking and running fever and acting confused. She could not keep fluids down and had not urinated in 6 hours. Her oral mucosa was drying/sticky and pale. I explained I was a pediatric nurse practitioner and knew when something was turning serious. I don't run to the vet for a dog who chooses not to eat one day or has an episode or two of vomiting or diarrhea. But this was much more. They offered me an appointment for three days later. I asked for guidance on what the red flag warnings were for a dog her size with regards to dehydration (when to go to emergency) and was told to feed her boiled chicken (she couldn't keep Pedialyte down but chicken was their solution) and they could offer me an appointment for Thursday again, 3 days later- then was told to have a nice day before they hung up!?

Love the staff and all 3 vets are wonderful. Mu entire family has used De. K's office for at least 20 yrs. He has been with us through an epileptic pup, every rescue we've brought home to include a kitten with a broken paw that didn't heal correctly. While other vet offices wanted to amputate he has been amazing at working with us to adapt and help our cat learn to live with his paw and he is thriving. 4 dogs and 7 cats later still the best vet hands down. When we were stationed at other posts we couldn't wait to bring our fur kids home to Dr. K.

Unfortunately I now live on the other side of town and had to find a vet that is close to me. Not having any satisfaction in that Arena compared to Community Pet health Center. Everyone at this office is super nice from the front desk staff, to the vet techs, to the veterinarians. I've seen 3 veterinarians and they were all great. All took the time to explain everything they were doing and had great bedside manner with my dogs. They also will try to save you money wherever they can. I HIGHLY recommend this vet clinic!

Dr. Kyzar is the most amazing vet we have ever used. I WILL NEVER GO TO ANOTHER VET AS LONG AS HE IS STILL PRACTICING.
He has taken care of our dogs perfectly. He has fixed issues that other vets have not been able to resolve. He is very FAIR on pricing and doesn't charge you for stuff you don't need or he feels are not necessary. He has even stayed late on a few occasions when we had an issue we felt needed attention ASAP. He explains things very thoroughly and doesn't BS you.
I just wanted to add an update (2018). I thought I had added this part in prior but I guess not.
Anyway, we had to put one of our pets down and before he administered the drugs, he gave her a kiss and said goodbye. I will never forget that.
What vet does that??? Seriously, if that doesn't tell you how great he is, then I don't know what will.

I've been to many vets but this location beats them all! Their prices are reasonable and their clinic is clean with a lovely outdoor area for your pets. The staff are very friendly and the veterinarians are filled with patience. They took care of my cat for two nights as their own. (She was hit by a car and was in bad condition.) But with their support and knowledge we were able to get through it. I appreciate the team, thank you! Will be referring this location to my friends/family

This place is amazing ! I've taken my dog there for almost 7 years now . Dr . Izzard is the best vet I've ever had . She is so knowledgeable and always goes the extra mile . She really cares about my furry little family member and treats her like her own. I recently took a new member of my family (my boyfriends dog) who is so afraid of the vet he cries the whole time , but one visit with Dr. Izzard and he was calm and a very happy dog on the way out . Dr.Izzard and the staff never try to push unnecessary products on you. The staff remembers who you and your pets are and make it a very personal experience . I always get an appointment quickly and I always get a personal call from the vet herself about any labs or testing information I need to know . The staff is friendly and helpful . Always clean and up to date technology is also a plus here , you know you're getting the best for your furry baby . Very affordable place and an awesome experience for the animal parents and for the pets themselves . I will NEVER go anywhere else.

If I were the Veterinarian that owned this place I would be embarrassed with some of my front office staff. I called on the 28th to schedule an appointment for the yearly visit of my 3 dogs. They lady on the phone seemed very confused getting me on the schedule. She asked when I would like to come in, I stated that mornings usually work better for me due to work. She told me that the Dr had surgeries until 12. So I said ok how about 1, then she told me that they go to lunch for an hour after surgery. I said ok how about 2. She said they don't start seeing patients until 3. So needless to say after the nonsense back and forth we went with 3pm on the 7th. I take the time off work, wrangle up all 3 dogs and make the trip. When I arrive she states that I have no appointment. She said I had an appointment on the 30th and was unsure whether or not I was actually at that appointment. I told her I saved it in my phone immediately after getting off the phone on the 28th and I was sure I asked for the 7th. She told me it didn't matter what was on my phone and started to raise her voice at me. It seemed as if I was inconveinincing them because of their mistake and my want to spend my money there. They said they would see what they could do, after waiting a bit they told me it was going to be awhile so I should reschedule. She stated on my way out that I called twice and schedule the appointment 2 different times????? I only ever called once and it was a 15min converstation that is shown in my call log. But i guess that doesnt matter. Keep in mind I have 2 dogs I have taken here for 4 years and spent thousands of dollars in this establishment. I will not be returning , ever.

Everyone at this clinic deserves a thousand stars. They are all so nice and compassionate, they care about your pet and they care about you. Dr. Izard took care of my puppy when she was very sick and did everything she could to help her. It's comforting to know I found a veterinarian who truly does care about my puppy, and not just the business I bring. I'll be lucky if I ever find a veterinarian as great as Dr. Izard and such wonderful technicians and other staff when I leave San Antonio.

Dr. Kyzar is the most amazing vet we have ever used. I WILL NEVER GO TO ANOTHER VET AS LONG AS HE IS STILL PRACTICING.
He has taken care of our dogs perfectly. He has fixed issues that other vets have not been able to resolve. He is very FAIR on pricing and doesn't charge you for stuff you don't need or he feels are not necessary. He has even stayed late on a few occasions when we had an issue we felt needed attention ASAP. He explains things very thoroughly and doesn't BS you.
I just wanted to add an update (2018). I thought I had added this part in prior but I guess not.
Anyway, we had to put one of our pets down and before he administered the drugs, he gave her a kiss and said goodbye. I will never forget that.
What vet does that??? Seriously, if that doesn't tell you how great he is, then I don't know what will.

I've been to many vets but this location beats them all! Their prices are reasonable and their clinic is clean with a lovely outdoor area for your pets. The staff are very friendly and the veterinarians are filled with patience. They took care of my cat for two nights as their own. (She was hit by a car and was in bad condition.) But with their support and knowledge we were able to get through it. I appreciate the team, thank you! Will be referring this location to my friends/family

This place is amazing ! I've taken my dog there for almost 7 years now . Dr . Izzard is the best vet I've ever had . She is so knowledgeable and always goes the extra mile . She really cares about my furry little family member and treats her like her own. I recently took a new member of my family (my boyfriends dog) who is so afraid of the vet he cries the whole time , but one visit with Dr. Izzard and he was calm and a very happy dog on the way out . Dr.Izzard and the staff never try to push unnecessary products on you. The staff remembers who you and your pets are and make it a very personal experience . I always get an appointment quickly and I always get a personal call from the vet herself about any labs or testing information I need to know . The staff is friendly and helpful . Always clean and up to date technology is also a plus here , you know you're getting the best for your furry baby . Very affordable place and an awesome experience for the animal parents and for the pets themselves . I will NEVER go anywhere else.

I love this place, everyone is always so helpful and nice and the vets are so helpful at explaining things to me. The prices are very reasonable so that is another plus!

If I were the Veterinarian that owned this place I would be embarrassed with some of my front office staff. I called on the 28th to schedule an appointment for the yearly visit of my 3 dogs. They lady on the phone seemed very confused getting me on the schedule. She asked when I would like to come in, I stated that mornings usually work better for me due to work. She told me that the Dr had surgeries until 12. So I said ok how about 1, then she told me that they go to lunch for an hour after surgery. I said ok how about 2. She said they don't start seeing patients until 3. So needless to say after the nonsense back and forth we went with 3pm on the 7th. I take the time off work, wrangle up all 3 dogs and make the trip. When I arrive she states that I have no appointment. She said I had an appointment on the 30th and was unsure whether or not I was actually at that appointment. I told her I saved it in my phone immediately after getting off the phone on the 28th and I was sure I asked for the 7th. She told me it didn't matter what was on my phone and started to raise her voice at me. It seemed as if I was inconveinincing them because of their mistake and my want to spend my money there. They said they would see what they could do, after waiting a bit they told me it was going to be awhile so I should reschedule. She stated on my way out that I called twice and schedule the appointment 2 different times????? I only ever called once and it was a 15min converstation that is shown in my call log. But i guess that doesnt matter. Keep in mind I have 2 dogs I have taken here for 4 years and spent thousands of dollars in this establishment. I will not be returning , ever.

Because this place is so close to my house, I thought I would try them out. Excellent facility and care. You can tell that the staff are all animal lovers. My two Huskies love this place, but they know we're at the "hospital" when we come here...lol.

Everyone at this clinic deserves a thousand stars. They are all so nice and compassionate, they care about your pet and they care about you. Dr. Izard took care of my puppy when she was very sick and did everything she could to help her. It's comforting to know I found a veterinarian who truly does care about my puppy, and not just the business I bring. I'll be lucky if I ever find a veterinarian as great as Dr. Izard and such wonderful technicians and other staff when I leave San Antonio.
