Culebra Creek Veterinary Hospital And Resort

San Antonio, Texas
General Info
Culebra Creek Veterinary Hospital And Resort delivers services to San Antonio and nearby Texas areas by creating therapeutic care models that adapt smoothly with both the pet’s temperament and the owner’s communication style. Initial visits prioritize animal comfort by allowing pets to explore the environment and display their responses without time constraints. Before commencing any physical examination the veterinary team observes minute indicators like eye movements, tail positions, gait changes and pressure responsiveness. Physical examinations involve assessing joint movement alongside hydration levels and body weight while also examining gum coloration and coat texture together with thermal regulation patterns. Owners participate in the process by recording detailed observations of morning routines, sleep patterns, vocal behaviors, and recent behavioral deviations. Culebra Creek Veterinary Hospital And Resort provides treatment programs for acute problems surgical interventions seasonal health variations and chronic condition management. Support services encompass laboratory diagnostics, imaging referrals alongside infection prevention measures and senior animal protocols while incorporating emotionally-informed recovery checklists. The arrangement of plans occurs through deliberate spacing and sequencing to minimize stress while keeping the owner adequately informed without causing overwhelm—this approach proves particularly beneficial for individuals handling multiple pets or intricate diagnoses. Communication is central. Post-visit notes dispatch after every appointment while follow-up sessions depend on pet adjustment progress instead of fixed calendar prompts. The teaching process for owners includes recognizing either subtle regression signs or indications of readiness for advancement. Long-term care involves pacing choice-based scheduling and reassurance strategies. Culebra Creek Veterinary Hospital And Resort delivers veterinary care throughout San Antonio and Texas based on both animal behavior and family input which produces care plans that maintain stability and compassion from beginning to end.

This review has been reposted because the original was removed. They responded earlier that they had addressed my concern on this review and others on Facebook and Yelp. Unfortunately I’m not that tech savvy and deleted it attempting to respond, I wish I hadn’t. Look for yourself, there are no responses on the other platforms. More lies from this untrustworthy organization. Do not take your pet here, read the one star reviews and you will see why. Please find my letter to VitalPet as my review. Don’t bring your pet here. I've been bringing my dog to your Town & Country Northwest Clinic for nearly 2 1/2 years. In the past 4 months, the last 2 orders with 1800PetMeds have had issues because of various reasons. Per the request of the clinic I took all of my records to them last Saturday, 4/30/2017, and was able to get the issues straightened out. I honestly believe this was a positive interaction with your staff. On Wednesday, 05/03/2017, I took our rescued Pug in to have her spayed. I signed the release that it would cost somewhere between $425 and $900. However, I then had questions about the form asking me to choose one of the following if my pet goes into respiratory or cardiac failure: $600 to try everything, $300 to stabilize and $41.70 to do nothing. I just said I would pay up to $900 and placed my pet into your care; why would it cost more to try and save her life? She's just been put into your care. I then asked Jennifer if something goes wrong it costs $41.70 to do nothing for the pet? To tell me she's dead? I was confused and admitted so. After I asked, I recognized that Jennifer was taking my questions personally when she became offensive. I reassured her several times I meant nothing personal towards her, I was just trying to understand. To be honest I'm still confused but the procedure went as scheduled and the best I can tell she's doing okay. So now for my real concern. When I went to pick up my pet, I went through the aftercare with Mallory Cade and was then presented with a letter stating that they would no longer attend to my pets and to find another Vet for follow up because my behavior was unacceptable "over the past few days". I did laugh, laughed very hard actually. The whole situation was absurd and Mallory's attitude was trite. After I read the letter a few times I have come to realize that your Veterinarian had every intention of firing me before they put my pet under and cut her open (because of my behavior Saturday and the morning of the procedure). Why? If my actions where so bad, then why didn't she step out from the back and answer the questions Jennifer couldn't. Surely she overheard it if my behavior was as bad as she claims, the clinic is very small. Why wasn't I sent home with my pet then? Why did it have to wait until my pet was cut open and then sent home with no option of bringing her back there? I went back to this clinic because of the excellent care we received in the past. There was never an issue with visits or on line prescription orders. Something at this location has changed, we will most certainly find a Veterinarian out of the VidalPet organization. I would also like you to know that I will be filing a formal complaint with the Texas State Board Of Veterinary Medical Examiners against Mallory for this incident. I feel my pet has been put in danger because of her unwarranted actions. Thank you for your time Read Less

Town and country will be losing three clients as of today. While they were very accommodating by getting us into a 5 o’clock appointment, very last minute, it was too important for them to stick to their 10 minute late policy when walking in at 11 minutes late. Given the appointment was made last minute, arrangements at work had to be made to get home, get the pup, and arrive there as quickly as possible... not to mention 5:00 traffic. I appreciate the care they’ve provided for us in the past, while also understand they have to put policies in place, completely understand. However, perhaps “reading” their clients better as they’re rushing through the door (both pet and human) instead of having the poor front office staff member restate the policy that the vet directed them to say would be a start to better customer service. Perhaps knowing your clients better, esp. repeat clients, to know that this has not been an issue before nor was this policy in place the last visit. I guess policies are more important than keeping multiple clients of 4+ years. Read Less

Horrible experience I don't know if someone took over this clinic because we have been going here for 2 1/2 years had questions about our pet who was getting spayed and we had a lot of questions regarding the DNR presented at the last moment and my boyfriend was a little taken aback by the fact we had to put a price on our little pugs life granted as a medical clinic they do need to know how to proceed if something happens they treated us like it was unreasonable for us to be emotional about this situation and AFTER TAKING OUR MONEY and doing the procedure then they proceed to say how our behavior made it impossible to communicate with us which is completely laughable and false because how would they have known how to proceed before they took the money for the procedure I just have to say I'm more than happy to take our business elsewhere we debated that during the discussion with them and to expect people are not going to be emotional about their animals is ridiculous my dogs are like my kids and she doesn't seem to have a passion for animals at all I want to find a vet that is realistic and has a better bedside manner. I advise to look for another vet you'll definitely find it cheaper and better elsewhere Read Less

Really happy with my experience. The staff was friendly and courteous. The exam as a new patient was complimentary, and the vet pointed out a knee issue only one other vet had ever mentioned because I brought my dog in specifically for a limp. I was there for a health certificate to travel abroad, and they charged one of the most reasonable fees from SA to Austin. Some highly rated vets were charging upwards of $300! I never felt rushed and she took the time to explain the process and make sure I was all set. I had never been there before and I will definitely be returning and recommending them. Read Less

Worst customer service! Exams, nail trims etc are fine but checking out is a scandal! They are not efficient when checking patients out. I wanted to check out while my dogs were having their exams done because I was having to watch a dog being chocked by the toddler while his parents did nothing. When I approached the tech to check out she said she would have to enter them. There was no one in line and it was just the other patient and myself. I stepped outside so I didn't have to watch that poor dog being chocked. After a few minutes I went back in and asked her again if I could pay. She hardly acknowledged me and said I would still have to wait for some other paperwork. I said I would not wait because I really couldn't take hearing the toddler run wild hitting and banging on everything and seeing how terrified the poor dog was. I brought to her attention a simple I'm sorry for the wait ma'am would have sufficed. Then the doctor comes out to argue with me saying he has to defend his employees and the tech had nothing to be sorry for. It's not about being sorry for something per say, it's about taking responsibility for not being efficient worker when you have nothing else going on. It shouldn't take the whole time of my visit to check me out. I've had dogs all my life and never have I seen a doctor come out and argue with the patient. Needless to say we will not be going back. The doctor made me feel very uncomfortable and was very demeaning.Read Less

I was pleasantly surprised when at the beginning of the appointment a Tech went over the agenda for the appointment and all the costs associated with the visit. I took my dog in for a teeth cleaning and the vet found a tumor in his testicle when doing the pre-operation check. He had been to see several vets and no one had ever even checked. She were even good enough to show me the testicle and tumor (tumor was about the size of a marble) and explain what to look for in the future. I was referred here from a friend and I've had the most amazing customer service and services taken care of for my girls. Prices and atmosphere are amazing as well! I brought in two stray kittens and they took me in right away and they were treated with everything possible. I appreciate Dr. Cade and her staff for everything they did for these kittens and previous services with my girls and I'll see them again in March for a yearly check up for Nala :) Read Less

DO NOT TAKE your lets here!!!!!! My dog had a surgery for a Cisct they said she needed... 5 days later I'm still waiting for a call back on questions I had. Was told Doctor that did surgery wasn't in and if I went to another doctor I would be charged again for office visit. Spoke to doctor finally that preformed surgery and she told me to go in the evening when other doctor was there? So I would pay again?!?!?!?! They don't do follow ups to see how wound is heeling? And the receptions told me to make my dog chicken and rice? How Is that to help a cut????

Read Less

Friendly and professional staff! Any time we have a question about our dogs, they have an answer. They treat your pets as one of their own which is awesome if you have shy or hyper pets. Regular vet check ups and vaccinations are well priced - but they charge higher then other vet clinics for spay/neuter. They do offer a military discount so it's definitely a plus! Highly recommend this veterinarian clinic!!!!

I was very satisfied with my first experience at Town & Country Veterinary Care! I am new to San Antonio and my two dogs needed their annual check up and various vaccines. I was able to get an appointment quickly, upon arrival the services were prompt and kind. I was pleasantly surprised when at the beginning of the appointment a Tech went over the agenda for the appointment and all the costs associated with the visit. Giving me the option to change the services as needed. I have had a lot of great Vets, but this service makes Town & Country Veterinary Care really stand out! There are no hidden costs here, great service and the Vet was great with my two fur-babies! I found a keeper! Read Less

She even followed up after his surgery just to see how he was doing. My dog will probably live a longer healthier life because she was so thorough.Read Less
