I took my doxy to Dr Pinney yesterday with the usual wait, sitting on a bale of hay. Schnitzel has reoccurring skin allergies that are NOW under control because of Dr Pinney's advice/care. The constant steroid shots by my other vet were not working. We have brought our dogs here for their annual shots, saving greatly but now will continue to bring them for the check ups as they are much more reasonable. Yesterday's visit was a follow up & medication refill & they graciously waived the exam fee, which I didn't mind paying since it is only $19, 1/3 the price of our other vet. The staff is friendly & caring. Not a grumpy face there. The wait is well worth the quality of service received, EVERY VISIT.

I was very impressed with this clinic! Although it is first come first serve they are very quick and efficient! I felt like the vet here paid more attention to our dogs symptoms and needs than a vet we previously visited in the area. Maybe he is just more experienced, but our dog suffered for a whole month because of another vet and I wish I had found this place the first time she got sick!! Plus this is a very affordable option. We paid under $200 for the visit, heartworm test, BUN test, glucose test and 3 different meds she needed. We thought our 12yo lab was dying for weeks and thanks to Dr Pinney she is good as new! Will be going here for all of my future pet needs

I got my price for vaccines from my vet and they wanted to charge me 175 dollars. So I did research because lord knows I don't have 175 for shots. I found a clinic that'll charge me 100 dollars and I thought that was the cheapest. Nope! They gave me all the shots for 35 dollars and I also did a heart worm test which came out negative (thank you jesus) for $19. In total I paid $54 and it only took an hour. An hour isn't bad for a walkin clinic. Friendly staff and a whole bunch of cute dogs.

It is amazing to find people so dedicated and compassionate about their craft that they would spend their weekend to help our animals. These folks are incredible! You must see it for yourself. The fees that are charged are extremely low. The folks at Lock Hill Feed store are angels for allowing the Mobile Pet Unit to operate in their business for the betterment of our four legged friends. Our new family member "Kitty Purry's" eye had become red and irritated and Will and I were wanting to get her to a vet quick. After searching for low cost pet clinics that were number 1....opened on a Saturday late afternoon....and number to low cost, we ran across this mobile petcare clinic. And the best part was that the clinic visit was only $19. Every other low cost clinic was charging $40 and up just to look at her. "That's outrageous!" So I took Kitty Purry to this mobile vet clinic on a late Saturday afternoon and met Allison. Allison was very warm and patient with the both of us. (Me and Kitty Purr). She knew that I was super nervous because Kitty Purry was freaking out. Words cannot describe how sweet and gentle she was with the both of us. She even made Kitty Purry calm. It was amazing! Once she got the information as to why we were there, she went and got the Doctor. Dr. Pinney. Oh my goodness. Talk about an awesome doctor. His manners were those of an old fashion doctor who might visit your house if you couldn't get to him. He was so patient and kind to both Kitty Purry and myself. I was in shock at how well behaved and calm Kitty Purry was. The pet examination was $19 and the eye drops were $15. That was it!!!! From now on I will be following this mobile clinic for all of my pet care needs. So happy to have found them.

Few things grind my gears as much as a condescending, snarky, narcissistic physician. However, Dr Pinney and his entourage are exactly what I need out of a doctor. Hardworking, humble, compassionate, and to the point. We've been taking the dogs here since early 2012, shortly after moving to TX, and we've been coming back since. The waits can be long, but I've never been bothered by that because every single time everyone in the staff are working working working, not chatting it up at the water cooler like at some office vets. I love that efficiency. I recently had to bring in a dog for a biopsy and instead of being made to feel like an incompetent moron, i was treated with dignity and respect, invited to look into the microscope myself. While Dr Pinney didn't know, apparently, that I'm trained in histology/cytology, he explained what i should see and what it meant and he was (as you'd expect) spot on. His ability to communicate effectively in layman's terms is top notch and not at all condescending. But it's the manner in which i was treated that again reinforced why i set aside time to sit on a hay bale and wait to see him or a staff member. I really can't thank all of those people enough for always being so kind, thorough, to the point, and doing their job quickly, even when it is chaotically busy and I'd be overwhelmed! Kudos x 100000000...!Oh, and if all you need is meds refilled, they put you to the head of the line. For flwa and heartworm meds at the rate they sell them, that's an awesome benefit!

We are a family that loves dogs, we have been going to Dr. Pinney at the Lockhill Feed Store for 10 years now and I will never go anywhere else. They offer a variety of services at affordable prices, and as anybody who owns a pet, knows vet services can be expensive. Dr Pinney and his staff are exceptional! As many times as we have been there, we have never had a bad experience. During certain times of the day they can be busy, but they always have a lot of staff, so the wait is not that long. Plus you are sitting wth a bunch of dogs and cats, and who doesn't love that? We will continue to go to Dr. Pinney, for many more years to come.

My family and I have 2 dogs, a cocker spaniel named Rocky and a miniature dachshund named Baxter. We love our dogs dearly, but we have been behind on their healthcare because our current vet, Northern Oaks Bird & Animal Hospital, has exorbitant prices. I came across their website last night and I could not believe the prices for vaccines. What would normally cost me $300 in annual vaccines would cost a 1/3 of the price at MPC.Needless to say, I took my dogs there to the Locke Hill Pet Supply location today and despite the long line of pet owners and their pets, I was seen in about 20-30 minutes. They got all my information, weighed my dogs, and proceeded to collect the vaccines before administering them to my dogs. I'm very happy with the care and service I received from my vet tech Robert and Dr. Pinney. It is very obvious that they are doing this for the benefit of pets and their owners vs. for money. I heard a nightmare story while I was there that a lady needed emergency care for her dog, but the animal hospital wouldn't even see her dog unless she coughed up $500. Luckily, she brought her dog here to MPC and they examined her pet without a crazy down payment.I'm not a by any means a frugal person or a penny pincher, but I am tired of getting taken advantage of at overpriced vet clinics. I am very happy with my experience at MPC, and despite the 25 minute drive, I will go back again. Thank you for putting pets vs. profit first.

So a year today I relocated to SA and I am still exploring the city. This trip was for my dogs. Looking for affordable, friendly, and convenient vet services... this place is it!First visit and it will not be my last. This is a mobile service and today they were in the feed and seed off Huebener. I arrived about 45 minutes after they opened and the line was crazy long. Lots of pets and owners waiting patiently. You sign in on a clip board and find a comfy spot to wait. I watxhef the staff floay around patiently jelping pets and their owners. After about a 45 minute wait I was seen by a very friendly and outgoing vet tech. Rudy was very personable and caring to my two CKCS' s. He explained everything to me about how the practice worked and made sure i understood the fees. I was there for just rabies shot and anal gland. he was able to answer my questions about all my concerns and advise me on any other shots they may have needed. He even knew some of the common health issues with this breed and wanted to make sure I was fully informed. I never felt pressured to buy anything or do any unnecessary procedures. I felt very at ease and so did my two dogs. Even though it was extremely busy, he treated us like we were the only patients for the day. The entire staff really made us feel comfortable and you could tell they were all animal lovers and happy to be there. The price was amazing $15 for rabies shot for each pet abd $19 for anal gland. Less than $50 for our visit today. Compare that to other vet office's who want about $60 for just one dog office visit. I will be back in January for shot updates and looking forward to the visit. I hope this review helps someone.

I have four dogs and three cats and I was looking for an affordable alternative to take care of my pets. A woman I met at Walmart in Bandera Road (at the cat's food section) recommended Dr Pinney and the Mobile Petcare Clinic sometime in January 2015. Sure enough, my bills are lower now and everyone is up to date with vaccinations and procedures. Exam visit went from $48 with previous vet to $19. If you vaccinate, then there is no charge for the visit. Took the pets in turns of two each weekend to Locke Hill. Some of the services the pets got were medical exams, vaccinations, full bloodwork (only Saturdays and early), heartworm exams, cyst drained, nail trimmed, and a second opinion on a previous knee surgery of my big golden retriever. Truly affordable for primary care. Most complicated stuff, you need to go to a full vet clinic. Prices are disclosed up front. Doctors and staff (Sarah, Rose) are very attentive, dedicated and take to the time to explain things. Got monthly medications, flea preventative, and referrals for online pharmacy when prescription is cheaper online. It's fun to see all the other animals waiting in line to be assisted and talking to people while sitting on the hay stack. Truly a country vet experience! Thanks Dr. Pinney!

Every other week they hold pet court at Lockehill Feed and Seed, providing first class affordable pet care, exams, shots, eye..Tink is surrounded by a variety of dogs ( and a stray cat or two) and stares with wide-eyed wonder at her kin! Since those of my furbabies are passed away now, i bring my new furbaby, Buster, a cocker spaniel, to them. The staff were very nice and attentive to me and my dog, and all the other dogs and cats. When I came across mobile pet care clinic, I called, the lady on the phone was kind and when I brought my puppies they took care of them for a reasonable price. Will continue to go to them!

I take all my pets to Dr. Pinney @ Lockehill Feed in San Antonio. The staff is great and the prices are affordable. I have an older dog, Sophia, who is a frequent flyer. She has allergies and various other issues on a regualr basis. My most recent vist was Sunday, July 27, 2014. Sarah & Allison took care of Sophia's UTI and I discussed a homiopathic treatment I found online with Sarah. She was very encouraging as we have run out of options, other than taking her to a dermatologist. I have been going to MPC for several years and I have never had a bad experience. Dr. Pinney and all of the caretakers are wonderful!

I have been taking my pets to them for years and have received great care every time. The prices are very affordable and the care is great! I have three dogs and go to the Huebner Lockhill Feed location. All of the staff seem to really care about our dogs and you can tell they love animals and love what they do. I have recommended them to all my friends and family. They offer many services and not just shots. On a busy day be prepared for a wait (just depends how many people are ahead of you), but it is way worth it to me for the prices and level of care. Highly recommend.

Although the location is mobile, the service is far from. I have taken both my dogs there, once since I adopted it and one for the last 4 years, we are there 2-3 times a year for bordatella, Heartworm meds, and annual visits. The vet and staff recognize me and my dogs, and ask about anything we discussed last time. In addition to great service and smiling faces they also offer more than just rabies shots. I have my thin skinned Italian Greyhound checked for Heartworm every year, and they have helped prescribe nausea medicine for my adopted dog that would get car sick. For routine care I don't know why you would go anywhere else! They are professional, personable, and price conscious!!!

I took my doxy to Dr Pinney yesterday with the usual wait, sitting on a bale of hay. Schnitzel has reoccurring skin allergies that are NOW under control because of Dr Pinney's advice/care. The constant steroid shots by my other vet were not working. We have brought our dogs here for their annual shots, saving greatly but now will continue to bring them for the check ups as they are much more reasonable. Yesterday's visit was a follow up & medication refill & they graciously waived the exam fee, which I didn't mind paying since it is only $19, 1/3 the price of our other vet. The staff is friendly & caring. Not a grumpy face there. The wait is well worth the quality of service received, EVERY VISIT.

I was very impressed with this clinic! Although it is first come first serve they are very quick and efficient! I felt like the vet here paid more attention to our dogs symptoms and needs than a vet we previously visited in the area. Maybe he is just more experienced, but our dog suffered for a whole month because of another vet and I wish I had found this place the first time she got sick!! Plus this is a very affordable option. We paid under $200 for the visit, heartworm test, BUN test, glucose test and 3 different meds she needed. We thought our 12yo lab was dying for weeks and thanks to Dr Pinney she is good as new! Will be going here for all of my future pet needs

I got my price for vaccines from my vet and they wanted to charge me 175 dollars. So I did research because lord knows I don't have 175 for shots. I found a clinic that'll charge me 100 dollars and I thought that was the cheapest. Nope! They gave me all the shots for 35 dollars and I also did a heart worm test which came out negative (thank you jesus) for $19. In total I paid $54 and it only took an hour. An hour isn't bad for a walkin clinic. Friendly staff and a whole bunch of cute dogs.

Our new family member "Kitty Purry's" eye had become red and irritated and Will and I were wanting to get her to a vet quick. After searching for low cost pet clinics that were number 1....opened on a Saturday late afternoon....and number to low cost, we ran across this mobile petcare clinic. And the best part was that the clinic visit was only $19. Every other low cost clinic was charging $40 and up just to look at her. "That's outrageous!" So I took Kitty Purry to this mobile vet clinic on a late Saturday afternoon and met Allison. Allison was very warm and patient with the both of us. (Me and Kitty Purr). She knew that I was super nervous because Kitty Purry was freaking out. Words cannot describe how sweet and gentle she was with the both of us. She even made Kitty Purry calm. It was amazing! Once she got the information as to why we were there, she went and got the Doctor. Dr. Pinney. Oh my goodness. Talk about an awesome doctor. His manners were those of an old fashion doctor who might visit your house if you couldn't get to him. He was so patient and kind to both Kitty Purry and myself. I was in shock at how well behaved and calm Kitty Purry was. The pet examination was $19 and the eye drops were $15. That was it!!!! From now on I will be following this mobile clinic for all of my pet care needs. So happy to have found them.

Few things grind my gears as much as a condescending, snarky, narcissistic physician. However, Dr Pinney and his entourage are exactly what I need out of a doctor. Hardworking, humble, compassionate, and to the point. We've been taking the dogs here since early 2012, shortly after moving to TX, and we've been coming back since. The waits can be long, but I've never been bothered by that because every single time everyone in the staff are working working working, not chatting it up at the water cooler like at some office vets. I love that efficiency. I recently had to bring in a dog for a biopsy and instead of being made to feel like an incompetent moron, i was treated with dignity and respect, invited to look into the microscope myself. While Dr Pinney didn't know, apparently, that I'm trained in histology/cytology, he explained what i should see and what it meant and he was (as you'd expect) spot on. His ability to communicate effectively in layman's terms is top notch and not at all condescending. But it's the manner in which i was treated that again reinforced why i set aside time to sit on a hay bale and wait to see him or a staff member. I really can't thank all of those people enough for always being so kind, thorough, to the point, and doing their job quickly, even when it is chaotically busy and I'd be overwhelmed! Kudos x 100000000...!Oh, and if all you need is meds refilled, they put you to the head of the line. For flwa and heartworm meds at the rate they sell them, that's an awesome benefit!

We are a family that loves dogs, we have been going to Dr. Pinney at the Lockhill Feed Store for 10 years now and I will never go anywhere else. They offer a variety of services at affordable prices, and as anybody who owns a pet, knows vet services can be expensive. Dr Pinney and his staff are exceptional! As many times as we have been there, we have never had a bad experience. During certain times of the day they can be busy, but they always have a lot of staff, so the wait is not that long. Plus you are sitting wth a bunch of dogs and cats, and who doesn't love that? We will continue to go to Dr. Pinney, for many more years to come.

My family and I have 2 dogs, a cocker spaniel named Rocky and a miniature dachshund named Baxter. We love our dogs dearly, but we have been behind on their healthcare because our current vet, Northern Oaks Bird & Animal Hospital, has exorbitant prices. I came across their website last night and I could not believe the prices for vaccines. What would normally cost me $300 in annual vaccines would cost a 1/3 of the price at MPC.Needless to say, I took my dogs there to the Locke Hill Pet Supply location today and despite the long line of pet owners and their pets, I was seen in about 20-30 minutes. They got all my information, weighed my dogs, and proceeded to collect the vaccines before administering them to my dogs. I'm very happy with the care and service I received from my vet tech Robert and Dr. Pinney. It is very obvious that they are doing this for the benefit of pets and their owners vs. for money. I heard a nightmare story while I was there that a lady needed emergency care for her dog, but the animal hospital wouldn't even see her dog unless she coughed up $500. Luckily, she brought her dog here to MPC and they examined her pet without a crazy down payment.I'm not a by any means a frugal person or a penny pincher, but I am tired of getting taken advantage of at overpriced vet clinics. I am very happy with my experience at MPC, and despite the 25 minute drive, I will go back again. Thank you for putting pets vs. profit first.

So a year today I relocated to SA and I am still exploring the city. This trip was for my dogs. Looking for affordable, friendly, and convenient vet services... this place is it!First visit and it will not be my last. This is a mobile service and today they were in the feed and seed off Huebener. I arrived about 45 minutes after they opened and the line was crazy long. Lots of pets and owners waiting patiently. You sign in on a clip board and find a comfy spot to wait. I watxhef the staff floay around patiently jelping pets and their owners. After about a 45 minute wait I was seen by a very friendly and outgoing vet tech. Rudy was very personable and caring to my two CKCS' s. He explained everything to me about how the practice worked and made sure i understood the fees. I was there for just rabies shot and anal gland. he was able to answer my questions about all my concerns and advise me on any other shots they may have needed. He even knew some of the common health issues with this breed and wanted to make sure I was fully informed. I never felt pressured to buy anything or do any unnecessary procedures. I felt very at ease and so did my two dogs. Even though it was extremely busy, he treated us like we were the only patients for the day. The entire staff really made us feel comfortable and you could tell they were all animal lovers and happy to be there. The price was amazing $15 for rabies shot for each pet abd $19 for anal gland. Less than $50 for our visit today. Compare that to other vet office's who want about $60 for just one dog office visit. I will be back in January for shot updates and looking forward to the visit. I hope this review helps someone.

I have four dogs and three cats and I was looking for an affordable alternative to take care of my pets. A woman I met at Walmart in Bandera Road (at the cat's food section) recommended Dr Pinney and the Mobile Petcare Clinic sometime in January 2015. Sure enough, my bills are lower now and everyone is up to date with vaccinations and procedures. Exam visit went from $48 with previous vet to $19. If you vaccinate, then there is no charge for the visit. Took the pets in turns of two each weekend to Locke Hill. Some of the services the pets got were medical exams, vaccinations, full bloodwork (only Saturdays and early), heartworm exams, cyst drained, nail trimmed, and a second opinion on a previous knee surgery of my big golden retriever. Truly affordable for primary care. Most complicated stuff, you need to go to a full vet clinic. Prices are disclosed up front. Doctors and staff (Sarah, Rose) are very attentive, dedicated and take to the time to explain things. Got monthly medications, flea preventative, and referrals for online pharmacy when prescription is cheaper online. It's fun to see all the other animals waiting in line to be assisted and talking to people while sitting on the hay stack. Truly a country vet experience! Thanks Dr. Pinney!

Every other week they hold pet court at Lockehill Feed and Seed, providing first class affordable pet care, exams, shots, eye..Tink is surrounded by a variety of dogs ( and a stray cat or two) and stares with wide-eyed wonder at her kin! Today's visit was exceptional! Rosie provided a level of care and concern beyond the norm and Tink was in good hands with her and Dr. Pinney!It just doesn't get any better than this!

Have used this service for many years. Went to the one located off Huebner Road at Lockehill Feed. Many of my dogs were brought there for care and we're always treated with kindness. Since those of my furbabies are passed away now, i bring my new furbaby, Buster, a cocker spaniel, to them. The staff were very nice and attentive to me and my dog, and all the other dogs and cats. Love them and what they do!

When I came across mobile pet care clinic, I called, the lady on the phone was kind and when I brought my puppies they took care of them for a reasonable price. Will continue to go to them!

She has allergies and various other issues on a regualr basis. My most recent vist was Sunday, July 27, 2014. Sarah & Allison took care of Sophia's UTI and I discussed a homiopathic treatment I found online with Sarah. She was very encouraging as we have run out of options, other than taking her to a dermatologist. I have been going to MPC for several years and I have never had a bad experience. Dr. Pinney and all of the caretakers are wonderful!

I have been taking my pets to them for years and have received great care every time. The prices are very affordable and the care is great! I have three dogs and go to the Huebner Lockhill Feed location. All of the staff seem to really care about our dogs and you can tell they love animals and love what they do. I have recommended them to all my friends and family. They offer many services and not just shots. On a busy day be prepared for a wait (just depends how many people are ahead of you), but it is way worth it to me for the prices and level of care. Highly recommend.

Although the location is mobile, the service is far from. I have taken both my dogs there, once since I adopted it and one for the last 4 years, we are there 2-3 times a year for bordatella, Heartworm meds, and annual visits. The vet and staff recognize me and my dogs, and ask about anything we discussed last time. In addition to great service and smiling faces they also offer more than just rabies shots. I have my thin skinned Italian Greyhound checked for Heartworm every year, and they have helped prescribe nausea medicine for my adopted dog that would get car sick. For routine care I don't know why you would go anywhere else! They are professional, personable, and price conscious!!!

love these guys, very professional and very affordable - wish they did more (like surgical procedures, special lab draws, teeth cleaning, etc) because i feel like i get royally screwed every time i go to a brick and mortar vet. highly recommended. the best part is sitting on the hay bales with the other dog owners and chatting!
