We were referred to this Vet clinic by a coworker and I have to say we are so happy with the service we have gotten for our babies. Rusty and ZenaLee love the way they were treated and that means so much to us. Dr. Maria Gonzales is so sweet and caring. Very nice and accommodating. They take their time and learn your pets name right away. I never feel that they are trying to upsell dog food, medicine, or other services just to make more money as many other veterinary places do. The place is clean and they have a different waiting section for sick animals versus healthy animals just like a regular human Doctor offices. I highly recommend them for any and all Services. It’s a definitely 5 star vet. It’s a very expensive place but they treat your kids like royal and I’m willing to pay for that. They have saved one of my pups from parvo , my cat from bad infection, and may other incidence my pups haven gotten into. I brought my German Shepherd in for a bath. He really needed it and with the cooler weather I could not give him one at home. Needless to say they took good care of him and he was only there for a couple of hours. We have always had good care for our dog at Pets First Vet Center. I took my golden retriever here to have him groomed! They asked very specific questions and even called me to make sure that they knew what I wanted! I was extremely happy with the results!! My dog looked perfect and was exactly how I wanted him groomed!! The staff is always friendly and they go out of their way to greet us and my dog when we enter their facility!!! Our ordeal began on the Morning of January 16th, when our cat started to experience a health problem, We immediately took her to the Pets First Clinic, that was by far the greatest thing that you could have ever done for us. From that moment on, you took care of Cleopatra, we were so appreciated for every step you did. As you know, for us English is a second language. And as such, it requires more concentration to comprehend and to communicate. With the shock and stress of the situation, it often became harder for us to follow along. We have been using Pets First for two years now and they take such good care of our kids. I can call with a question or ask what can I do at home to help with my dog throwing up or anything like that and they will tell me an at home solution so I don't have to pay an office visit fee. Unless the condition worsens then I take them in. They do all of our kids vaccinations, and one of mine has severe allergies and constantly has to be seen. They gave us a free trial of Nexguard and it helped him so much with his scratching. We appreciate everything they have done for us. Read Less

This is the most caring veterinary clinic I have ever been to. They take the time to make sure that you and your pet are comfortable with everything they are doing. I took my dog here for the first time to get groomed and they called me to double check I was okay with how they were going to groom my dog and wouldn't do anything without making sure I was okay with it. Bought by a new corporation. Absolutely no customer service skills. Walked in and no greet no nothing. Me and the kids literally were all "HELLO HOW ARE YOU!". Finally got them to start checking us out. Was quoted $37 a night if we board them together. Well that was per dog per night. Why would I have boarded them all in the same run... Get our collie mix back and she sounds like she has the worst case of kennel cough ever...oh it's the choke leash we are using....get the bill they did exams 3 months early on all the dogs..."your wife signed for it" from Linda at the desk. Asked why you offered, "well Marta checked her in and she is not here"....finally find out from one of the guys after asking 3 times...they got bought by a new corporation....so the 8 years of wonderful service and treatment went out the door evidently...would say as long as they have new owners avoid the new treatment...Read Less

My Boston Terrier got out of my yard Saturday when taking our boat out of our yard and didn't realize he was out till that evening. I was devastated & afarid for him ...was driving all over the neighborhood searching for him. A gentleman took him to Pets First to see if he had a chip.....they cared for him till i was able to pick him up this morning......THANK YOU to all the staff and when i asked how much i owed ....they informed me NOTHING.......if it were any other place I'm sure there would have been a cost for room & board. Pets First is one of the best vet clinics ever!First, the examination rooms and lobby are always immaculately clean and smell great. The people working the front desk are always extremely friendly and excited to see my dogs.Second, they are extremely gentle and sweet with my dogs. I have a 3 pound yorkie and an 80 pound Bull Mastiff mix and they are great with both. When my Bull Mastiff rescue freaked out on his first vet visit and peed pretty much everywhere they told us it was fine and immediately sanitized everything, while talking so kindly to my dog that he calmed down completely!We originally found them when we moved to San Antonio and my Yorkie started throwing up everywhere and generally extremely sick. We called several offices that wouldn't take her saying that they were full. Pets first told us to bring her in immediately and that they would make room! They quickly figured out the problem, fixed it, and gave her some fluids since she was dehydrated from all the vomiting. All while assuring me that she would be fine.We now use them exclusively. They are very easy to make appointments with, and are always extremely helpful about making it so you can pay for the treatment your dog needs. Dr. Sanders was EXCEPTIONAL. My wife and I have been taking our lovely pet ever since we moved to San Antonio (2 years) and the care provided by Dr. Sanders and the team in the clinic has ALWAYS been above expectations.This very weekend (Saturday) we took a sudden visit to the clinic as we found something abnormal on our pet, we walked in the clinic and despite the fact that we did not have an appointment and they were about to close Dr. Sanders and her team welcomed our pet and us to be seen. This speak volumes to us as Dr Sanders did not hesitate to see our beloved pet despite the late hour and sudden appearance without appointment.I HIGHLY recommend this place, they genuinely care for you and your pet! Rebel and I have been going to Pets First for over 2 years. They are wonderful! Today I found a lump on Rebel's throat and we took him in for a drop-in visit. Dr. Sanders saw him within 45 minutes on a Saturday and took blood and x-rays even as they were getting ready to close. we started off with Dr Neiss and really liked her. After Dr Neiss left to spend more time with her family, we started seeing Dr Pappas We were sad that Dr Neiss had left, but we are very happy with Dr Pappas: she always gives the choice of several different treatments, including detailed information about the cost, possible side effects, effectiveness and level of discomfort it will cause to our pet. She leaves the decision totally up to us, but we can tell that she favors treatment which is the most cost effective and causes the least discomfort,so we usually go for the one she favors and have been happy with the results. We also brought our elderly chihuahua to have her teeth cleaned and an abscessed tooth taken care of. They looked after her well, she recovered quickly from the anesthesia and the treatment without any bad after effects So far, so good Read Less

I have been taking my dog here for two years now and they are wonderful. They go above and beyond and when things were tight financially but my dog needed some expensive treatment, they tried to help me in any way they could to reduce the cost and break up my payments. Dr. Neis is my vet and she is excellent but even the staff are great. Not a long wait, reasonable prices and open on Saturdays. Who could beat it? It feels like they are an extension of my family. I just rescued a puppy from SAPA, and Pets First gave us a complimentary initial visit because I adopted from a rescue group. Last week, I took my puppy in to get weighed prior to giving her heartworm, flea and tick preventative, and Dr. Sanders saw my puppy's eyes and asked me to stay to have her checked. I visit my folks in San Antonio periodically and was on a recent visit when my little male yorkie became gravely ill. I called a couple of places who had me come in hours later. When I called Pets First, they said to come in right away which is what I needed. The place is very nice with an open feel, very clean and no dog smells. Staff was nice and helpful. Dr. Gonzales saw my yorkie, gave advice and medications that helped him. I was appreciative for their immediate attention and care. When I arrived back to Austin I needed paperwork faxed to my pet insurance which they did promptly. I was impressed with them from beginning to end and will use them as my vet on my trips there. I have a 14 week old pug dog named Harry, and we've been taking him to see Dr. Meadows since we took him home at the age of 6 weeks and they are FANTASTIC there! The receptionists ALWAYS pick up the telephone when you call unless the clinic is closed, in which case they give you the number to their emergency care facilities! I came here after my dog George was killed at Becker Animal Hospital, you can look up their facilities if you want to see my review, and boy am I happy. They've set up payment methods with us due to our innability to pay at all times. Their FIRST care is the pet, THEN the money! I made a comment on a rainbow lead that one of the Vet Techs was walking about with, and she GAVE it to me! :D PLUS, I mentioned that I wanted to be a Vet Tech, and they asked me to call the Head and have a career interview and figure out what I'm getting myself into, then I get to apply there when I get my license! Pets First has been awesome both to me and my animals on every single visit and in between.First, they have great hours. The open at 7am and allow drop off for later appointments and they are open until 2pm on Saturdays.I have been speaking to the Vet in a private room and exited to pick up my animal and have seen a desk staff sitting calmly with my animal in her lap, petting him gently and kissing his head. The staff is really just so sweet to the animals in every way, including checking in on the animal at any time that a pet parent calls. The place is super clean. Animal Planet is always on TV and there is a cute nook with park benches and painted walls of murals with dogs and cats (photo). There is also a nice selection of pet parent magazines to read if you are waiting.I just picked up our dog today (he is doing fine thanks) and am as pleased as always. Appointments fill quickly during Dental Month (Feb.) so make your appointments early.Pets First also offers boarding and grooming. Read Less

This has been my family's veterinary clinic for almost 12 years now, and wouldn't even dare think of taking my pets any place else! The staff/techs are always friendly and ready to help, and the vets are nothing but amazing. They have performed three major surgeries on my cat and dog, and everytime they have recovered beautifully. Even if you don't make an appointment, and your animal is in need of medical attention, they will go out of there way to fit you in. Over the past years he has been a pleasure to work with and always open to taking time to answer my questions. His staff is very friendly and the office is new and very clean.
