Weather patterns combined with new routines and daycare preparations alongside senior slowdowns and recovery milestones create appointment triggers. Every program modifies itself based on residential architecture and environmental stimuli to deliver family assistance tailored to actual living situations. Following every visit owners get visit notes along with scheduling recommendations care tips and optional logs for food mood or motion. People who have multiple pets or senior animals can ask for staggered check-ins home-based follow-ups or mobile adjustments to keep things consistent. He said that he was going to give her some medicine to make her feel good and that nothing bad was going to happen to her and we would be able to take her home the same day. My mom paid more than a $100 for the shot and $50 for the visit. An hour after we left my puppy started bleeding from her mouth and butt. I have been going here since 2013. I was always able to get last minute appointments mostly because people canceled. That may be good but honestly it should be a red flag to you guys. Please ask your self why everyone cancels their appointments. Well the first time I went for my dog and two puppies. The dog stopped eating and drinking and basically stop moving around. As the new born pups stopped feeding on their moms. I took all three in. He actually took time with him and diagnosed him with Parvo. So we treated him and he lived! The puppies he didn't bother with he said it's typical for a few pups to die in a litter. I asked how to prevent it and his reply was, "Don't you have other puppies?" In shock and pretty irritated I left. I took the puppies else where turns out they had Parvo too so we treated it and the whole litter lived!! I then went off to college and when I was gone my cat stopped peeing. I asked my parents to go take him to the vent. They accidentally mixed up the good location and the bad one I was telling them about and they ended up taking him to this hell hole. I researched it and I knew already he had a blockage. So my parents took him while I was on the phone with them. The nurses took good care of him (which I appreciated) but Dr. Homer said nothing was wrong with him. And just to "maybe" switch his litter and food but he wanted to keep him over night for observation (cost=450) I got good vibes and being that he got an education on animals where I didn't I allowed my cat to stay. I drove into town to pick my cat up and he just handed him to me and said nothing . I talked to the front desk and they said "maybe" it's a behavior thing. He did put my cat on a diet so I stuck to that and waited it out. Three days later my cat got worst and I took him to a 24hr hospital they said he had a huge blockage that has been bluilding up for at least 6days and he needed immediate surgery. I was very confused I mean I took him in already. The Dr. there said sometimes vets will wait for things to progress so there can be money in the long run for them. I will never go back there. I don't know if it's just my animals he hated or maybe I asked to many questions but I truly don't like this Vet and I don't recommend it to anyone !! I felt there is a huge lack of effort and care here. Not from the nurses though they were always great!!! Read Less

This Dr. I know has rescued animals that have been severly beaten. He is always gentle while examining my pet and allows me in the room during examination. Most  of all I KNOW Tawny prefers this Dr. She would tremble and crawl under chairs to avoid treatment on my trek Dr. Not so here there is no trembling or crawling under furniture. My beautiful American Pit was having trouble breathing.  She seemed to be gagging periodically.  I took her to Dr. Homer several times as he kept changing the diagnosis and charging me for each appt., exam, and useless medication. It continued on and on.  She even had one of these "attacks" in his presence.  He seemed mystified, yet still continued treating her and charging me fee after fee.  She was family to me, so, whatever I had to do, I did.   One particularly hot day, she had  a bad attack and stopped responding.  I rushed her to Dr. Homer's office where he hooked her up to oxygen and an IV.  She lay unresponsive for over an hour.  Five o'clock came around and he handed me an extra IV, charged me $400.00 and sent me on my way to an emergency vet.  He couldn't have been more cold and uncaring.  As I held Tasia in my arms at the emergency vet, I was told immediately that she was suffering.  Her temp. was too high and I needed to let her go.  My heart broke as the vet told me a simple reduction of the flap in the back of her throat would have taken care of the problem.  I regret ever going to Southeast Animal Hospital.  I'm writing this in hopes that others won't make the same mistake I did. I've taken several dogs to Dr. Homer over the past 25 yrs. or so.  He's had to euthanize 2 of them.  He is quiet and compassionate.  I could tell he was sorry to see them so sick and near death.  I drive from Sea World area to the south side, about 20 miles because my current poodle loves this place!  The staff are all very sweet and attentive.  They know us by name, and call me Tryskit's mommy.  My dog is completely out of his mind with excitement when we pull into the lot!  I'm able to leave him at 7:30, come back home and wash his bedding and run errands, and he's ready about 4:00.  I schedule his exam and grooming on the same visit.  It is pricey, and sometimes the dr. will recommend vitamins or allergy meds.  He recommended a diabetes med for another dog I had.  I was like really, dog diabetes??  I found out this is a real problem for dogs, so we got the prescription.  If you don't find out and ask questions, it's your fault if you pay for unneeded extras.  A vet has a business and wants to sell products, but you don't have to buy them all.  I don't get the special food, because Beneful at HEB is good and my dog loves it. Dr. Homer is basically a tongue-tied vet who will throw a bunch of antibiotics at you without telling you why -- nor which was the one that worked -- and have you walking out A LOT LIGHTER in the wallet.  Antibiotics, along with stress, bad diets, toxins, vaccinations are now proving very harmful to a pet's immune system. True pet health -- resistance to disease from the inside -- is not to be found here. Yes, he'll give you some bacillus for your dog's gut once he's wiped all the bacteria -- good and bad. Apparently he owns the "Doc's SpaceCenter" storage-units which surround his nicely-appointed Vet Hospital, which leads me to believe he's just another shrewd doc with his hand in many pockets. Very inconvenient when you as a pet owner is looking for is an honest, reasonably-priced, knowledgeable, neighborhood vet who loves animals and is just down the block. Unfortunately this is not the place you'll find this. Read Less

It was a really horrible experience!!! My mom and I went to take my puppy to get checker because she was throwing up and the doctor said she had parvo. He said that he was going to give her some medicine to make her feel good and that nothing bad was going to happen to her and we would be able to take her home the same day. My mom paid more than a $100 for the shot and $50 for the visit. An hour after we left my puppy started bleeding from her mouth and butt. We went back to the vet and they said they couldn't do anything because we left. My mom demanded her money back they said no and kicked her out. My puppy died!!!!Read Less

Dr. Homer is the most knowledgable and compassionate vet in south SA. I have taken my Dalmatian there over the years and he always managed to treat him at a reasonable price. He even worked with me when I could not afford to pay for his heart worm treatment upfront. Needless to say my dog passed away a few years ago and I have since moved out of the neighborhood. However, I still drive across town to have him treat my bunny. I wouldn't trust anyone else. Dr. Homer and his staff are irreplaceable! Read Less

Read Less

Dr. Homer and his staff are fantastic. They are kind and compassionate professionals who truly care. I have 5 cats and I'm there at least once a month and never had a bad experience, from the first phone call to the vet visit. The receptionists and vet techs are wonderful. All were so kind when my 21 year old cat was in her last days and handled her with love when she passed. Highly recommend! Read Less

I've been to Southeast on and off over the years since moving to this community four years ago. i could see the Dr. genuinly cares for the animals. After trekking four years to a vet with whom I was accostumed Tawny and me made the change. No more 2 hour waits. Yes I saved a few dolIars, but paid with my valuable time and wasn't allowed in room during exam. I found the staff to be friendly and professional. Extreme change in behavior. They also accept CareCredit and match online prices for medication. Plenty of parking. Read Less

Read Less
