My dog is an established patient here. Unfortunately had an accident mid pay week and I couldn't pay until Fri, at which time i could pay the bill in full. My dog was is severe pain and unable to fully weight bear on her hind leg. When I called her vet, I was told"nope..no money now, no doctor visit". They were 100% ok letting my dog suffer. (I do not qualify for Care Credit as I had a rollover MVA a few years ago and I'm still repairing my damaged credit from that). So, I called my sons vet who, after hearing the issue, saw her right away and took a post dated check for Friday. I now have a vet who actually is in the business because of a love of animals and not $$$ as a priority. Another shocker was the amt of $$ VCA charges for meds. Gabapentin, Carprophen and Tramadol (which Sassy takes for a lumbar sacral nerve compression and arthritis) was almost $200 there. At CVS with Good RX was under $40 for all three. Plus at the new vets, I paid $50. VCA is a price gouging vet preying on your the health care of your pets. I will say Sassy's vet was caring and knowledgeable but after letting money come before care, I will never recommend them to anyone. I've been in healthcare 37 years as an RN. If I treated my patients like this, I would lose my license.

The people here are so helpful and you can tell they love animals and treat them like as if their own. I brought a cat in here a couple of times, treated her like a queen. Unfortunately I had to put her down bc she had nine cancer and I took her here and they knew my pain and here and they even have me a room away from the rest with a blanket and flowers and even some Kleenex. They treated her very well. And me too. I suggest you go here.

I had to euthanize my dog of 11 years and 7 months today. It was by far the hardest thing I've ever had to do. The a staff from the reception to the vet and vet tech, where so compassionate. They made my dog and my self feel safe, and they actually cried with us as Max feel asleep. I have no words that can express the gratitude I have for having come across the vet clinic. They made one of the hardest days of my life, less stressful and more importantly they treated my pet with dignity and respect. Thank you so much guys.

I would not recommend this vet at all they just poke your eyes out by running all kinds of test when the simple answer was heart failure. Which can be treated with medicines instead they recommend to put the dog down because it needs more test smh. Should be ashamed of themselves for deceiving the elderly.

I moved from Dallas not too long ago and I had used a VCA vet up there and glad I had found one in San Antonio right down the street from me. I've taken both my kids to this location a few times when Gaston(dog) was sick and one time for Pumpkin(cat) for an annual check up. Every time they were greatly taken care of and we are always greeted with a smiles as soon as we walk in.
The Veterinarian is nice and knowledgeable. She always seems happy to see my babies and I trust her to offer me the best options for them. The Vet did offer me a prescription food for only a week just because the situation called for it. And it helped! Then my pup was able to transition back to his normal food.
Prices are never the fun part but the test/machinery aren't cheap and anyone here to complain about it needs to understand
1. The vets and staff don't make the pricing.
2. Owning an animal is expensive. They get sick just like we do. Before getting one you really need to take this into consideration.
I think they are an awesome, caring team all together and I would highly recommend them to any pet owner.

I really don't know where to begin; we absolutely love these guys! We adopted our fur-baby from the Humane Society as a heart-worm positive dog and this is where the society had us go for her treatments. She is now heart-worm free and we have found our lifelong vet office! They have always treated us amazing and the care is top notch. Even though we have moved and the drive is further, we still come here for all our veterinary needs. The front desk ladies are always warm and welcoming and even when busy, take the time to answer all my questions, whether in person or on the phone, and this is the only place we trust for boarding as well. We had Stella boarded here for her first overnight for our wedding and naturally I was a little worried to leave her for so long, but they exceeded our expectations with a decorated picture of her playing outside, a thoughtful card and an honest report card at the end of her stay. Even our visiting out of state family was very impressed with the level of care. We really love the VCA oak hills staff! Thank you so much for all you do.

I recently adopted a dog and they gave a complimentary vet check up. I took. I thought since it was free they where going to treat me a different way. Nope. I got there and they are the kindest people ever! You can tell the love what they do. They were very imfortive and helpful. They treated me and my dog with love and excellence. They called afterward to follow up with my chewy (dogs name). I will definitely be coming here for all my needs. !! I highly recommend this place!

We just rescued a yorkie and noticed how her claws was starting to fold into her paw. Called VCA not even 15mins before they were supposed to close. Got there right at 6 and she let me in. The lady at the front desk was so helpful! Even over the phone she tried helping me. I've been here once before with my rescued pit and She was even helpful then! I never felt so loved and Welcomed before! We'll be a forsure returning customer just because of her customer service and her love of animals! And thank you to everyone who helped out

Probably the worst Vet experience Ive ever had and Ive had plenty. I will say the host greeted me very quickly and put me in a room for an ultrasound that was recommended. We were originally going to do an Xray but were told to do the more expensive ultrasound because that way we would know for sure what the problem was. After waiting for the doctor for about 30 mins he came in and started asking me questions but the problem is he wasnt listening to my answers he just ignored me. Then he began to do the ultrasound and it ended in about 10 mins. After he said he didnt know anything based on the ultra sound and he recommended a xray. I couldnt believe it. I told him that the ultrasound was recommended because they said it would tell us more specifically what the problem is. He just shook his head and shoulders as if to say sorry but youre out of luck. I have paid over 1000 in vet bills with absolutely no answers. If yoy want to spend alot of money and still watch your dog die then go here. Otherwise stay as far away from fake vet as possible.

They overcharged me for services and then left me waiting for 90 minutes as they twiddled their thumbs instead of telling me I could leave. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

We just rescued a yorkie and noticed how her claws was starting to fold into her paw. Called VCA not even 15mins before they were supposed to close. Got there right at 6 and she let me in. The lady at the front desk was so helpful! Even over the phone she tried helping me. I've been here once before with my rescued pit and She was even helpful then! I never felt so loved and Welcomed before! We'll be a forsure returning customer just because of her customer service and her love of animals! And thank you to everyone who helped out

Probably the worst Vet experience Ive ever had and Ive had plenty. I will say the host greeted me very quickly and put me in a room for an ultrasound that was recommended. We were originally going to do an Xray but were told to do the more expensive ultrasound because that way we would know for sure what the problem was. After waiting for the doctor for about 30 mins he came in and started asking me questions but the problem is he wasnt listening to my answers he just ignored me. Then he began to do the ultrasound and it ended in about 10 mins. After he said he didnt know anything based on the ultra sound and he recommended a xray. I couldnt believe it. I told him that the ultrasound was recommended because they said it would tell us more specifically what the problem is. He just shook his head and shoulders as if to say sorry but youre out of luck. I have paid over 1000 in vet bills with absolutely no answers. If yoy want to spend alot of money and still watch your dog die then go here. Otherwise stay as far away from fake vet as possible.
