Very good experience. I took my dogs there since I did not like a previous clinic we took out dogs and the service is excellent. My dog had a bump and I took her without an appointment since they had none. Dr. Fernandez examined and treated my dog and he took care of the problem. He explained everything very thorough. I've been taking my pets to this clinic for over 10 years and have been very happy with the care they've received there. All the staff are very polite, friendly and genuinely care about you and your pet. Their love for animals is evident as soon as you walk in. Dr. Fernandez is excellent! The entire staff at Stone Oak Vet is incredibly caring. Our sweet dog was diagnosed with a failing liver last October. He lived for 9 more happy months despite all odds because of their research, diet changes, medications, and most of all, their love. His prognosis was not good at all but Dr. Todd, Dr. Fernandez, and the rest of the staff went above and beyond and basically gave him a second life. When it was time to put him down, Dr. Fernandez, Debra and Laura were incredibly and genuinely caring. It was clear that they put their whole hearts into their career. They made a heartbreaking day much more bearable, comfortable, and peaceful for us and our dog. Even after that sad day, the staff members still checked up on us and provided the kindest words when we needed them most.  I cannot express enough how grateful we are for their generous care. Generally, this place is great - and if not for a few issues with some of the administrative staff I would have given it 5 stars. We are a regular customer, as my pet needs monthly attention due to a chronic illness and the folks who deal with us regularly have always been friendly, professional and helpful. Occasionally folks at the desk or answering phones don't go as far out of their way to help make sure we are taken care of but no one has ever been rude to us. The vets themselves are great and accommodating as are the vet techs. Since my pet has had a life long chronic illness we have been to a lot of places and I can say confidently that Stone Oak Vet Clinic's prices are very reasonable and they never tack on additional costs for no reason (since we are a regular customer with a repeat issue, we don't have to do a full vet check up - which is expensive - every single time just to get my pet's treatment - other offices in NW san antonio will charge to see a doctor each time even if it just is for a shot or to check that the disease is still being adequately managed). In fact, even my friend who is a vet (out of state) tried to purchase my dog's medication directly from a pharmacy and the price wasn't as low as the cost that Stone Oak charges me for it, so I believe they are more than reasonable where price is concerned. No one has a good experience when their pet is sick or dealing with a fatal illness, but the least that can be done is efficient, friendly, accommodating service and so far I have no major complaints about stone oak. This is an awesome clinic! I have looked into changing vets because they are a bit far for me but as I call around for price comparison they cost the same as the ones in my neighborhood. I have been going here for several years now and have lost a pet from old age who hated vets at all costs and he absolutely loved the staff! I have 2 puppies I recently rescued and they LOVE going to the vet because the staff is so sweet to them. I have used their boarding services and will continue to do so because my dogs always come home happy! The staff and vets always explain what is going on and what they are doing and how much items cost. :) 5 star rating by myself and my furbabies!! Read Less

I took my new kitten in for a well visit, the staff was very friendly.  Dr. Fernandez was very friendly, thorough, and informative.  He even called me himself with test results.  I will continue to bring my pets here, as I feel this is where they will get the best care.  I have never been to a friendlier vet's office.
