My family has been taking our pets to Dr. Patrick at St. Francis Veterinary Clinic for years. Now, I take my two female dogs, Buffy, and Pixie. Both are reactionary dogs, each fearing strangers in different degrees. It doesn't faze Dr. Patrick, nor does it affect how she relates or explains things to me as a customer. She has performed both spay surgeries on my dogs, when they were BOTH in their estrus cycle. It made the surgeries more difficult, but she didn't charge me extra, or refuse to do the surgeries. I appreciate Dr. Patrick's patience. She is a great resource to the San Eli-Socorro community and provides economical services to the low-income neighborhoods. Now, even my friends on the East side come to San Eli to take their pets because they trust her more than any other male vet, who have been abusive to their 3-week old puppy. Seriously, any guy who needs to choke a puppy into submission shouldn't be doing this work. I personally have seen Dr. Patrick avoiding biting English sheepdogs tied to the back of a truck as she gave them their rabies shot. No excuses, this woman does it better, and more efficiently.
