Genuinely one of the best vets I’ve ever visited. My cat absolutely hates going to the vet, but I feel good bringing her here knowing she will be well taken care of. Dr.Blagg and the vet techs are all very helpful and kind. They do a great job explaining what adjustments need to be made for the health of your animal, but understand sometimes big financial jumps are not an option and offer alternatives. Would highly recommend to anyone.

I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Blagg and the staff here. Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. It is easy to tell that they genuinely care about both you and your pets. They have always given us a follow up call the next day to make sure our dogs are doing ok and they even sent a card signed by the whole staff after we had to put one of our dogs down. They some of the friendliest people I have had the pleasure of meeting and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new vet or looking for a change. It is always a great experience here.

They took us on as new patients after we just moved to San Marcos when my dogs got into a fight and my old vet in Austin did not have time to see us. The vet was AMAZING! I have worked as a dog trainer and coordinator for a dog rescue group for 15 years and have worked with many vets. They are one of, if not the best vet, I have ever dealt with. Highly recommend them, couldn't be better.

Tickle Blagg is the absolute best of the best. I bring all my pets here and they have been nothing short of amazing with all of them. They are reasonably priced for the quality of care they give and don't try to con you into extra expenses. Recently we found a small cancerous growth on my dog that needed to be removed. Dr. Blagg did a great job of cutting any expense he could and making sure that she was well taken care of. They also squeezed her in the following week so no time was wasted. Please trust me and bring them here if you are looking for a new vet!

I called several different places and spent several weeks looking up reviews between here in San Marcos (where I go to school) and Houston where my house is, for a vet to declaw and neuter my kitten Bruiser. I am SO happy I went with Tickle Blagg. I love my vet in Houston but they are wayyyyy overpriced. Tickle Blagg has reasonable prices and everyone is so sweet. The vet spent a lot of time with me after the surgery going over how it went and how things would be for the next few weeks. Everyday after surgery for a few days I got a call asking how Bruiser was doing, even if I had the smallest question the ladies answering the phone would be sure to ask the doctor and get back to me. Everyone there is so sweet and knowledgable! I know Bruiser was in great hands and got lots of love while he was there!!

After going to three different vets for some serious health issues with cocker spaniel, we found Tickle Blagg. Instead of looking at the surface issues and trying to treat the symptoms of what was wrong, (balding spots, scabbing, weight gain, loss of energy, irritability) they actually took the time to investigate the root cause of the problems. They located a thyroid issue and with a small pill our dog was back to normal and healthier than ever! They are by far the best vet office in the area!! Always clean, attentive and polite. No issues whatsoever!

This last Sat I noticed something was wrong with my cat. We had an emergency room visit first thing on Sunday and as we were leaving the ER Vet said "Dr. Blagg and his team are the best in the state. I highly recommend you follow up there." Later that night my cat's health started to decline. I called Tickle-Blagg right at 8am Monday morning and they got me in as soon as possible. My kitty required a lot of care and hospitalization through Friday but Dr. Blagg and his team took immediate action to address his medical needs and prevent further decline. While my kitty was at Tickle-Blagg, they allowed me to visit him and Dr. Blagg even brought in the ultrasounds and xrays to explain to me what was going on and how we can take preventative measures now to try and keep it from occurring again. Although it happened through an emergency, I have finally found a primary vet for my pets. I highly recommend this clinic!!!!!

Tickle Blagg is by far the best vet I have experience in my pet owning career. My boyfriend suggested them to me because he takes his dog there. They do a referral (refurral?) program where if you recommend them to someone and they take their pet there, then they give you money off for your next visit. The staff is always friendly and they all seem to know what they're talking about when I have conversations with them. They all care so much about the health of your pet, and they treat your pet with compassion when you visit. They send you reminders when it's time to update your pet on shots/annual check up time. My dog is always excited to go to Tickle Blagg because he's welcomed with treats, and lots of pets!The staff at Tickle Blagg never pressure you to buy the most expensive medicines either. They send you off with plenty of product information, and explain the differences between options so that it's easy to understand which medicine is best. Tickle Blagg won my heart when I had to take my boyfriend's dog in on an emergency visit. My boyfriend was out of town for business when his (fully vaccinated) dog contracted Parvovirus. Dr. Blagg and the staff were extremely accommodating for my boyfriend's dog. They gave me all the necessary information, and explained exactly what I needed to do to make sure the dog was going survive. Since we couldn't afford to put him on an IV the staff and Dr. Blagg set us up with a medication plan. Dr. Blagg told me how each medicine would work, and the importance of following a time table. I think they even offered a payment plan, if need be.Bottom line: if you're looking for a knowledgeable, compassionate, and affordable vet, then go to Tickle Blagg!!

We took our dog here. They are nice, very knowledgable, thorough about what services they are going to do. They give you information on what kinds of treatments are out there and available.My only issues is with whoever clipped my dogs nails either they don't have a lot of experience or was scared. You can't cut a 90 pound dogs nails straight across. They are thick! There is a technique my old vet uses where you kind of cut them like your peeling a banana is the best way I can describe it (Don't get me wrong, your not peeling the nails, your cutting them but lil by lil) and always have styptic powder near by and take you time! Honestly I cut his nails myself if I got steered in the direction of some amazing clippers that don't crush his nails but I've only found crappy ones so far!So.... They only cut about 5 nails counting his 2 dew nails even thou all of them needed to be cut down. Next time I will tell them or just get his nails clipped somewhere else.. But I will be back for all his other health care needs. They are awesome so far besides that !

They're a lot lower than the vet I was using in Austin.2. If you've come in for non-routine care, you'll get at least one followup call from the doctor or staff to see how your pet is and if you have any questions. I just had a serious issue when my dog ate something, and they called every day for a week to keep up with how he was recovering.3. They have big, fenced outdoor boarding areas for each individual dog. They get put up at night or if the weather's bad. One of our dogs does NOT play well with others, and they did an awesome job of keeping him out of trouble and letting us know how he was doing while we were gone. When I dropped him off, the tech even had me show her how he loves to be petted most so that he would get good attention. 4. They educate pet owners. We get full disclosure about what's going on, what the options are, and what is recommended. It's the same sort of explanation you'd expect with a doctor for humans, so you always feel like you're making informed decisions.

These people are amazing. I had to temporarily leave town to recieve cancer treatment and I left my dogs with a friend. My dog got into a fight with another dog and recived some nasty injuries. Since I am out of town, I immediatly began to panic. Animal control brought him to Tickle Blagg AH for treatment. I called them frantic and they were so kind, and so reasuring. They really took time out of their day to pass my phone call around to differnt staff members to reasure me that Finn is ok, and also to explain the treatment plan. They even took PICTURES of Finnigan's Injuries and emailed them to me right away. Even though my dog is at their hosptial under poor circumstances, I wouldnt want him to be anywhere else. They really go the extra mile.

I find the treatment of both Dr. Jordan and Dr. Blagg to be ""good"". My pets are the loves of my life and I have very high standards and expectations of my vets. This is now the 3rd vet I have been to in San Marcos in search of ""excellence"" as we found in our previous vet in another town. I feel they are thorough and knowledgable in the field and feel comfortable taking my many, rescued pets there. I do not get a sense of the advanced expertise of my previous vet who performed neuro surgey routinely. The only negative I find is the ""add ons"" to the tab, sometimes without even asking. For example, last time my husband took my kitten in, they applied Advantage to him without asking (and the previous time I had specifically stated that I would apply it when I personally felt he was old enough-not to mention that I purchase my products online). The veterniary care, to date, is sufficent but they will be looking for the $$ signs in your eyes!

We took many of our pets to Dr. Blagg over the years when we lived in the San Marcos area. Each animal was treated with such love and care. After moving to Austin we decided to continue to commute to San Marcos for vet care. This decision was made after finding that veterinary costs were much higher in Austin. The other great thing is that Dr. Blagg never pressures us for unnecessary tests or products as other vets have tried to do. I know that he will provide excellent care at reasonable costs. Pets are expensive! You have to be prepared to meet the costs of their care if you choose to adopt one!

My little brother goes to school in San Marcos, however this past weekend he and his dog came to visit me 5 hours away. I had just adopted my 3rd dog from the SPCA here, and as it turns out she came to me with sarcoptic mange. I found this out the day after my brother left. When I took my dogs to the vet, all 3 of them were looked at and treated for under $35 dollars. I called my brothers vet, TICKLE AND BLAGG, and told them of our situation, and what the vet had given to my dogs. He brought his dog to them the next day and was charged $165. $50 was for a physical exam which consisted of basicaly stairing at him. No skin swabs or tests. Well I called and told them what he needed to be given, how ih the world was in $165? When I called to question the charge I was told that IF THEY HAD KNOWN HE COULDN'T AFFORD IT, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN MUCH LESS. Hello...poor college student!!! It would have been cheaper for me to fly the dog up to see me and take him to my vet. So if you have an arm and a leg to spare....you should go to this vet!!!!

Dr.Blagg and the vet techs are all very helpful and kind. They do a great job explaining what adjustments need to be made for the health of your animal, but understand sometimes big financial jumps are not an option and offer alternatives. Would highly recommend to anyone.

I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Blagg and the staff here. Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. It is easy to tell that they genuinely care about both you and your pets. They have always given us a follow up call the next day to make sure our dogs are doing ok and they even sent a card signed by the whole staff after we had to put one of our dogs down. They some of the friendliest people I have had the pleasure of meeting and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new vet or looking for a change. It is always a great experience here.

They took us on as new patients after we just moved to San Marcos when my dogs got into a fight and my old vet in Austin did not have time to see us. The vet was AMAZING! I have worked as a dog trainer and coordinator for a dog rescue group for 15 years and have worked with many vets. They are one of, if not the best vet, I have ever dealt with. Highly recommend them, couldn't be better.

Tickle Blagg is the absolute best of the best. I bring all my pets here and they have been nothing short of amazing with all of them. They are reasonably priced for the quality of care they give and don't try to con you into extra expenses. Recently we found a small cancerous growth on my dog that needed to be removed. Dr. Blagg did a great job of cutting any expense he could and making sure that she was well taken care of. They also squeezed her in the following week so no time was wasted. Please trust me and bring them here if you are looking for a new vet!

I called several different places and spent several weeks looking up reviews between here in San Marcos (where I go to school) and Houston where my house is, for a vet to declaw and neuter my kitten Bruiser. I am SO happy I went with Tickle Blagg. I love my vet in Houston but they are wayyyyy overpriced. Tickle Blagg has reasonable prices and everyone is so sweet. The vet spent a lot of time with me after the surgery going over how it went and how things would be for the next few weeks. Everyday after surgery for a few days I got a call asking how Bruiser was doing, even if I had the smallest question the ladies answering the phone would be sure to ask the doctor and get back to me. Everyone there is so sweet and knowledgable! I know Bruiser was in great hands and got lots of love while he was there!!

After going to three different vets for some serious health issues with cocker spaniel, we found Tickle Blagg. Instead of looking at the surface issues and trying to treat the symptoms of what was wrong, (balding spots, scabbing, weight gain, loss of energy, irritability) they actually took the time to investigate the root cause of the problems. They located a thyroid issue and with a small pill our dog was back to normal and healthier than ever! They are by far the best vet office in the area!! Always clean, attentive and polite. No issues whatsoever!

They have helped me through the loss of 2 beloved elderly pets with care and compassion as well as kenneled my babies during an emergency with just a few moments notice. This last Sat I noticed something was wrong with my cat. We had an emergency room visit first thing on Sunday and as we were leaving the ER Vet said "Dr. Blagg and his team are the best in the state. I highly recommend you follow up there." Later that night my cat's health started to decline. I called Tickle-Blagg right at 8am Monday morning and they got me in as soon as possible. My kitty required a lot of care and hospitalization through Friday but Dr. Blagg and his team took immediate action to address his medical needs and prevent further decline. While my kitty was at Tickle-Blagg, they allowed me to visit him and Dr. Blagg even brought in the ultrasounds and xrays to explain to me what was going on and how we can take preventative measures now to try and keep it from occurring again. Although it happened through an emergency, I have finally found a primary vet for my pets. I highly recommend this clinic!!!!!

Tickle Blagg is by far the best vet I have experience in my pet owning career. My boyfriend suggested them to me because he takes his dog there. They do a referral (refurral?) program where if you recommend them to someone and they take their pet there, then they give you money off for your next visit. The staff is always friendly and they all seem to know what they're talking about when I have conversations with them. They all care so much about the health of your pet, and they treat your pet with compassion when you visit. They send you reminders when it's time to update your pet on shots/annual check up time. My dog is always excited to go to Tickle Blagg because he's welcomed with treats, and lots of pets!The staff at Tickle Blagg never pressure you to buy the most expensive medicines either. They send you off with plenty of product information, and explain the differences between options so that it's easy to understand which medicine is best. Tickle Blagg won my heart when I had to take my boyfriend's dog in on an emergency visit. My boyfriend was out of town for business when his (fully vaccinated) dog contracted Parvovirus. Dr. Blagg and the staff were extremely accommodating for my boyfriend's dog. They gave me all the necessary information, and explained exactly what I needed to do to make sure the dog was going survive. Since we couldn't afford to put him on an IV the staff and Dr. Blagg set us up with a medication plan. Dr. Blagg told me how each medicine would work, and the importance of following a time table. I think they even offered a payment plan, if need be.Bottom line: if you're looking for a knowledgeable, compassionate, and affordable vet, then go to Tickle Blagg!!

We took our dog here. They are nice, very knowledgable, thorough about what services they are going to do. They give you information on what kinds of treatments are out there and available.My only issues is with whoever clipped my dogs nails either they don't have a lot of experience or was scared. You can't cut a 90 pound dogs nails straight across. They are thick! There is a technique my old vet uses where you kind of cut them like your peeling a banana is the best way I can describe it (Don't get me wrong, your not peeling the nails, your cutting them but lil by lil) and always have styptic powder near by and take you time! Honestly I cut his nails myself if I got steered in the direction of some amazing clippers that don't crush his nails but I've only found crappy ones so far!So.... They only cut about 5 nails counting his 2 dew nails even thou all of them needed to be cut down. Next time I will tell them or just get his nails clipped somewhere else.. But I will be back for all his other health care needs. They are awesome so far besides that !

Tickle Blagg is the most wonderful vet clinic. The staff is gentle and caring with the animals. Dr. Blagg is kind, very knowledgeable, and has a sharp, curious mind when diagnosing and treating our pets. He takes the time to not only explain what's going on and why, but to teach you the skills you need to know to monitor an issue at home and know when something isn't right. Not only do I always feel like my boys are in great hands, I leave knowing new things that empower me to take better care of my animals. Here are some things I love:1. The prices are reasonable. They're a lot lower than the vet I was using in Austin.2. If you've come in for non-routine care, you'll get at least one followup call from the doctor or staff to see how your pet is and if you have any questions. I just had a serious issue when my dog ate something, and they called every day for a week to keep up with how he was recovering.3. They have big, fenced outdoor boarding areas for each individual dog. They get put up at night or if the weather's bad. One of our dogs does NOT play well with others, and they did an awesome job of keeping him out of trouble and letting us know how he was doing while we were gone. When I dropped him off, the tech even had me show her how he loves to be petted most so that he would get good attention. 4. They educate pet owners. We get full disclosure about what's going on, what the options are, and what is recommended. It's the same sort of explanation you'd expect with a doctor for humans, so you always feel like you're making informed decisions.

These people are amazing. I had to temporarily leave town to recieve cancer treatment and I left my dogs with a friend. My dog got into a fight with another dog and recived some nasty injuries. Since I am out of town, I immediatly began to panic. Animal control brought him to Tickle Blagg AH for treatment. I called them frantic and they were so kind, and so reasuring. They really took time out of their day to pass my phone call around to differnt staff members to reasure me that Finn is ok, and also to explain the treatment plan. They even took PICTURES of Finnigan's Injuries and emailed them to me right away. Even though my dog is at their hosptial under poor circumstances, I wouldnt want him to be anywhere else. They really go the extra mile.

I find the treatment of both Dr. Jordan and Dr. Blagg to be ""good"". My pets are the loves of my life and I have very high standards and expectations of my vets. This is now the 3rd vet I have been to in San Marcos in search of ""excellence"" as we found in our previous vet in another town. I feel they are thorough and knowledgable in the field and feel comfortable taking my many, rescued pets there. I do not get a sense of the advanced expertise of my previous vet who performed neuro surgey routinely. The only negative I find is the ""add ons"" to the tab, sometimes without even asking. For example, last time my husband took my kitten in, they applied Advantage to him without asking (and the previous time I had specifically stated that I would apply it when I personally felt he was old enough-not to mention that I purchase my products online). The veterniary care, to date, is sufficent but they will be looking for the $$ signs in your eyes!

We took many of our pets to Dr. Blagg over the years when we lived in the San Marcos area. Each animal was treated with such love and care. After moving to Austin we decided to continue to commute to San Marcos for vet care. This decision was made after finding that veterinary costs were much higher in Austin. The other great thing is that Dr. Blagg never pressures us for unnecessary tests or products as other vets have tried to do. I know that he will provide excellent care at reasonable costs. Pets are expensive! You have to be prepared to meet the costs of their care if you choose to adopt one!

My little brother goes to school in San Marcos, however this past weekend he and his dog came to visit me 5 hours away. I had just adopted my 3rd dog from the SPCA here, and as it turns out she came to me with sarcoptic mange. I found this out the day after my brother left. When I took my dogs to the vet, all 3 of them were looked at and treated for under $35 dollars. I called my brothers vet, TICKLE AND BLAGG, and told them of our situation, and what the vet had given to my dogs. He brought his dog to them the next day and was charged $165. $50 was for a physical exam which consisted of basicaly stairing at him. No skin swabs or tests. Well I called and told them what he needed to be given, how ih the world was in $165? When I called to question the charge I was told that IF THEY HAD KNOWN HE COULDN'T AFFORD IT, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN MUCH LESS. Hello...poor college student!!! It would have been cheaper for me to fly the dog up to see me and take him to my vet. So if you have an arm and a leg to spare....you should go to this vet!!!!
