When my dog Lily and I moved from Florida to live with my now husband, we had to find Lily a new vet to frequent as she has chronic allergies that require constant treatment. We chose Clear Creek Animal Hospital as it was just up the road from our apartment at the time. Eight months later we bought our house and moved across town but despite the now 30-minute drive to their office, we continued to use this veterinary practice because after the first visit with Dr. Peterson over 7 years ago, we knew we had found a veterinarian who was truly in the business for his love of animals and not for the money.
Then a couple of years later a friend of ours found a tiny kitten alone and howling in the snake infested bushes of a golf course that needed a home and our family of three grew to four. We named him Weird Al. I was always a dog person. I never imagined I would love a cat in the least, but this little guy stole my heart right from the get-go and suddenly I found myself not just a dog person, but a cat person as well. Unfortunately for our bank account, our free kitten (just like Lily) ended up needing constant visits to the vet to treat various chronic conditions but it didn’t matter because we found ourselves a great place to treat our fur baby’s ailments over the years.
Over the years we have met each of the veterinarians at the practice at one point or another and quickly learned after each new introduction that just like Dr. Phillip, each member of the practice seemed to be in the business for their love of animals alone and not to put a buck in their pocket. As all know with any healthcare provider, this is a rare thing to find these days.
Unexpectedly, a week ago Thursday, about six years after “adopting” our baby kitty, we laid him to rest with the help of the wonderful staff at Clear Creek Animal Hospital. Yesterday, we received this card in the mail from them which left us in tears. This was such an unexpected and kind gesture and from the bottom of our hearts we thank you all for reminding us that our fur babies are not just a blur among the hundreds of animals you see each week, but a part of the Clear Creek Animal Hospital family.

Quality care for my rescue pup with health issues. Also, very sympathetic and caring attention when we had an emergency situation with my cat. Were forthcoming with options in both situations which allowed for informed decision making. Allowed us plenty of time to say goodbye to my cat when ultimately she had to be euthanized.

Horrible beside manner. They run test after test and you never get a real diagnosis. You keep returning for test and spend so much money. They will not help you at all if your pet has not had a yearly examination with them, which is over $200 per pet! I do NOT recommend this place!!!

I have an older dog that is suffering from cancer, I brought her in to talk about how to keep her comfortable and free of pain as possible. I saw Dr. Peterson and can not say enough wonderful things about his professional and compassionate care of not just my pet but me as well. He understood my wishes about her care and respected those feelings. He did not try and encourage me to get expensive tests and treatment done but gave me many options to try and in the end respected and supported my choices. As a nurse used to dealing with end of life decisions for my patients, Dr Peterson was a blessing. I wish all people doctors could be just like him!

Excellent Vets and reasonable prices. Our family are somewhat feline experts (5 cats currently and 25 over the last 40 yrs) We have been to many clear lake area vets and we found Clear Creek Animal hospital one of the best around. We use Dr Peterson and Dr Webster. Very knowledgable and caring individuals. We currently have a diabetic cat that was diagnosed 8 yrs ago and he is doing fine. (mostly because of my vet tech like wife and her laser focused care that she gives him) Our cat is on Lantus insulin and is doing fine at 13 yrs old. When we have any issues with our cats that we can't handle then we trust this clinic to give us the best care. I can't say that about any other vet in the area and we've seen quite a few. If you have care for your animals like you would your family then we recommend this vet.Give them a try

Very short waiting time in the check in area, a nurse arrived to the doctor's office at the same time as us, and the doctor arrived in less than 5 minutes after that; there was no unnecessary waiting....

Everything was taken care of in a professional manner. The doctor explained to us clearly what we needed as the bottom line and what she, as an expert, would recommend that we should get, without trying to sell us anything unnecessary. Reasonable price

We started coming to Clear Creek Animal Hospital in the summer/fall of 2013. Our two dogs absolutely love Dr. Peterson and it's the only vet's office they leave with both tails wagging. One of our dogs has a complicated condition, Dr. Peterson helped guide us to the right people to get him the care he needs. He now has an excellent quality of life thanks to their help. The staff is always friendly and helpful, the front counter ladies are fantastic, and this is the only place we trust to take care of our two and any other pets in the future.

My two Min Pins have been patients of Dr. Petersen since I got them 4 and 5 years ago. We traveled a lot since getting them, including seeing vets in New Mexico, North Carolina, Florida and Mississippi. CCAH is the BEST of all of them. When we leave the area, I am going to pack up Dr. Petersen and take him with us. All of his staff is absolutely wonderful, friendly and caring about me and my pets.Jake had a problem with his anal glands which Dr. Parker took care of and the next day Rocco had a problem which I thought was his back (which he had had problems with before). Dr. Petersen eased my mind and fixed Rocco which was NOT his back. A month later, Jake again had problem with his butt so back to Dr. Petersen. Two days after treatment, Dr. Petersen himself called to check on Jake and give me the good results of his blood tests. After another two days, one of staff called to double check on Jake. I LOVE this clinic and the wonderful people who make it the great place it is.

Absolutely the most wonderful veterinary clinic!!!!! Dr. Peterson is one of the most amazing doctors I have ever met!!! He took care of both my babies better than any other doctor ever has! I am a worrier when it comes to my little ones. Dr. Peterson and his staff not only took amazing care of my little ones but they also did everything they could to reassure me and help me understand exactly what was going on with them at all times. The bed side manner, patience, understanding, kindness, and most importantly care these wonderful people gave to my little ones and myself is priceless!!!!! Thank you a million times over!!!!!

Our pets have been going to Dr. Runge for about fourteen years. The staff has always been competent and cheerful. They obviously enjoy their jobs. Dr. Runge has provided accurate and practical advice for treatment and diet for the four dogs we have taken her over the years.
Recently our thirteen year old Yorkshire terrier died at home from complications of Cushings disease and adrenal cancer. When Dr. Runge learned of this she called my wife to express her sympaties. A few days later a sympathy card arrived with a touching note from Dr. Runge, signed by the staff.
We will not be going anywhere else.

I went to this vet because the the reviews and they weren't wrong. This animal hospital was affordable and the staff was very kind. Not only was my dog treated but I was given tons of information about issues my dog could have and handouts to take home and read. I will be going back again in 2 weeks for the follow up cause my dog is sick but I am happy that she has such caring and gentle people to provide her healthcare.

The vets are really great with my pet and I have been going here for a few years, but I am not at all impressed with the rest of the staff. Other than one woman, the rest of the staff has always (for five years) been rude, short, grumpy, abrasive and unprofessional. Also, the most frustrating thing about Clear Creek Animal Hospital is how they treat their customers. They are good with pets, which counts for a lot, but they are not loyal to their people. I've been there for five years, and they've changed their policies more times than I can count. I see that the trend is for them to change their policies just to give themselves excuses to get more money from people. It's not fair to the animals then, if an owner cannot keep up with the changing culture of the company and the growing prices they put on their services it inevitably affects the pet in the long run. I would not reccomend this vet if you are at all able to find another veterinarian close that you like. Again, the veterinarians are nice, but the company is not at all worth the investment you need to make in your animal's well-being. Find a more honest vet.

I've visited this place more than I care to, but I wouldn't consider ever going to another vet. My frequently troubled pup is always in good hands here, and they have been extremely flexible in helping me - whether with seizure watches, squeezing me in unexpectedly, or when I have a question about my dogs medical history. I tend to see Dr Peterson (Mrs, not the Mr) - but I've seen I think all the vets at one point or another. They're all pleasant to work with and care about my animal as much as I do.

Great compassionate people and vets. Always with a smile on their faces and anxious to help in any way possible with your best friends! Easy to call in an get prescriptions filled or to talk with the doc. Doc always calls and follows up with you. They don't push, just try and make you aware of all your options.I have had one old pup euthanized here and they couldn't have been nicer. They now provide the service for my other 2!THANK YOU!

I took my dog there for the first time last weekend for his heart worm pill. I had to wait for an hour before we got seen by the vet. During that time, people who came in after me got to go in before me to see the vet. At first I thought maybe their appointments were before mine. But after it happened couple times, I realized that they were doing that on purpose, maybe because I am Asian. When they were about to let another lady go before me, I stood up and told them I had been waiting for a long time and that people who came in after me were getting seen before me. Then they said ok we'll see you now. If I hadn't stood up to complain, who knows how much longer I would have to wait! The vet and assistants were friendly and professional, and I was pleased with them. But the receptionists who told the assistants which customer to see next were the ones that were unfriendly and very unprofessional. They never greeted me when I first arrived there, and I stood at the counter for at least 5 min before one of them finally looked at me. She didn't even say anything and just looked at me and raised her eyebrows as the universal expression of "can I help you?" They were just plain rude. I will never go there again as long as they have those receptionists, and I have been telling all my friends about my terrible experience. I've never written any review for anything, and this is the first time I wrote any review because I feel compelled to let people know.

We had rescued a dog back in January of 2011 and found out he had heart worms some time around June. We were upset and worried about his health. Dr. Peterson did an amazing job! He was very compassionate and you can tell he has a heart for animals, good man. He did the treatments and now Chance is doing great today. I highly recommend this man for your pet's needs.

I recently got my 2 yr old cat neutered and up to date on his shots, and the women working at Clear Creek Animal Hospital could not have been more polite! They were sweet to my cat, and very attentive~ not to mention informative and patient.The visit went smoothly, and everybody was very polite. I highly recommend this animal hospital.

We started coming to Clear Creek Animal Hospital in the summer/fall of 2013. Our two dogs absolutely love Dr. Peterson and it's the only vet's office they leave with both tails wagging. One of our dogs has a complicated condition, Dr. Peterson helped guide us to the right people to get him the care he needs. He now has an excellent quality of life thanks to their help. The staff is always friendly and helpful, the front counter ladies are fantastic, and this is the only place we trust to take care of our two and any other pets in the future.

My two Min Pins have been patients of Dr. Petersen since I got them 4 and 5 years ago. We traveled a lot since getting them, including seeing vets in New Mexico, North Carolina, Florida and Mississippi. CCAH is the BEST of all of them. When we leave the area, I am going to pack up Dr. Petersen and take him with us. All of his staff is absolutely wonderful, friendly and caring about me and my pets.Jake had a problem with his anal glands which Dr. Parker took care of and the next day Rocco had a problem which I thought was his back (which he had had problems with before). Dr. Petersen eased my mind and fixed Rocco which was NOT his back. A month later, Jake again had problem with his butt so back to Dr. Petersen. Two days after treatment, Dr. Petersen himself called to check on Jake and give me the good results of his blood tests. After another two days, one of staff called to double check on Jake. I LOVE this clinic and the wonderful people who make it the great place it is.

Absolutely the most wonderful veterinary clinic!!!!! Dr. Peterson is one of the most amazing doctors I have ever met!!! He took care of both my babies better than any other doctor ever has! I am a worrier when it comes to my little ones. Dr. Peterson and his staff not only took amazing care of my little ones but they also did everything they could to reassure me and help me understand exactly what was going on with them at all times. The bed side manner, patience, understanding, kindness, and most importantly care these wonderful people gave to my little ones and myself is priceless!!!!! Thank you a million times over!!!!!

Our pets have been going to Dr. Runge for about fourteen years. The staff has always been competent and cheerful. They obviously enjoy their jobs. Dr. Runge has provided accurate and practical advice for treatment and diet for the four dogs we have taken her over the years.
Recently our thirteen year old Yorkshire terrier died at home from complications of Cushings disease and adrenal cancer. When Dr. Runge learned of this she called my wife to express her sympaties. A few days later a sympathy card arrived with a touching note from Dr. Runge, signed by the staff.
We will not be going anywhere else.

I went to this vet because the the reviews and they weren't wrong. This animal hospital was affordable and the staff was very kind. Not only was my dog treated but I was given tons of information about issues my dog could have and handouts to take home and read. I will be going back again in 2 weeks for the follow up cause my dog is sick but I am happy that she has such caring and gentle people to provide her healthcare.

The vets are really great with my pet and I have been going here for a few years, but I am not at all impressed with the rest of the staff. Other than one woman, the rest of the staff has always (for five years) been rude, short, grumpy, abrasive and unprofessional. Also, the most frustrating thing about Clear Creek Animal Hospital is how they treat their customers. They are good with pets, which counts for a lot, but they are not loyal to their people. I've been there for five years, and they've changed their policies more times than I can count. I see that the trend is for them to change their policies just to give themselves excuses to get more money from people. It's not fair to the animals then, if an owner cannot keep up with the changing culture of the company and the growing prices they put on their services it inevitably affects the pet in the long run. I would not reccomend this vet if you are at all able to find another veterinarian close that you like. Again, the veterinarians are nice, but the company is not at all worth the investment you need to make in your animal's well-being. Find a more honest vet.

I've visited this place more than I care to, but I wouldn't consider ever going to another vet. My frequently troubled pup is always in good hands here, and they have been extremely flexible in helping me - whether with seizure watches, squeezing me in unexpectedly, or when I have a question about my dogs medical history. I tend to see Dr Peterson (Mrs, not the Mr) - but I've seen I think all the vets at one point or another. They're all pleasant to work with and care about my animal as much as I do.

Great compassionate people and vets. Always with a smile on their faces and anxious to help in any way possible with your best friends! Easy to call in an get prescriptions filled or to talk with the doc. Doc always calls and follows up with you. They don't push, just try and make you aware of all your options.I have had one old pup euthanized here and they couldn't have been nicer. They now provide the service for my other 2!THANK YOU!

Great staff, Dr Peterson is fantastic and has a wonderful bedside/petside manner. Very knowledgeable with urinary problems in felines. Reasonable prices and several people have also recommended their other vets who work there as well. They took us last minute on a Saturday because they know how important it is to take care of such a problem, especially because it was a 3 day weekend. I highly recommend it. Thanks Dr. Peterson

I took my dog there for the first time last weekend for his heart worm pill. I had to wait for an hour before we got seen by the vet. During that time, people who came in after me got to go in before me to see the vet. At first I thought maybe their appointments were before mine. But after it happened couple times, I realized that they were doing that on purpose, maybe because I am Asian. When they were about to let another lady go before me, I stood up and told them I had been waiting for a long time and that people who came in after me were getting seen before me. Then they said ok we'll see you now. If I hadn't stood up to complain, who knows how much longer I would have to wait! The vet and assistants were friendly and professional, and I was pleased with them. But the receptionists who told the assistants which customer to see next were the ones that were unfriendly and very unprofessional. They never greeted me when I first arrived there, and I stood at the counter for at least 5 min before one of them finally looked at me. She didn't even say anything and just looked at me and raised her eyebrows as the universal expression of "can I help you?" They were just plain rude. I will never go there again as long as they have those receptionists, and I have been telling all my friends about my terrible experience. I've never written any review for anything, and this is the first time I wrote any review because I feel compelled to let people know.

We had rescued a dog back in January of 2011 and found out he had heart worms some time around June. We were upset and worried about his health. Dr. Peterson did an amazing job! He was very compassionate and you can tell he has a heart for animals, good man. He did the treatments and now Chance is doing great today. I highly recommend this man for your pet's needs.

I recently got my 2 yr old cat neutered and up to date on his shots, and the women working at Clear Creek Animal Hospital could not have been more polite! They were sweet to my cat, and very attentive~ not to mention informative and patient.The visit went smoothly, and everybody was very polite. I highly recommend this animal hospital.
