I've been going to Southlake Animal Hospital for fifteen years and have taken 4 dogs there as patients and referred multiple friends to them. The first few years, I went to Dr C and she was awesome but I haven't seen her in years. And since I have a baseline and know how good it used to be, I could tell when it started declining in service so I quietly changed clinics. Unfortunately, the new Vet passed away so I went back hoping it had improved. Sadly, my experiences have been worse than when I originally left. Appointment times are not respected. The wait time is ridiculous so I have to pay extra to drop them off before I go to work and pick them up at the end of the day. The clinic feels dated. It looks like something out of the 80's. The staff seems miserable, they take way too long to check you out and are very robotic and unfriendly. I'm disappointed with how poor my last five years and especially my last two experiences have been. This month, I took my two dogs in (they both have been patients for their entire lives so their entire history is on file) and I clearly said I suspected one has some sort of yeast infection (the smell was strong) and I told the doctor that the other dog was mutilating his feet and I suspected he was in pain. Neither dog was diagnosed with anything specific, so only the symptoms were treated. I went back twice to get the same problems addressed. In two visits, I have spent over $1000 and nothing was effectively diagnosed or properly treated. The last time I went, I never even saw, spoke, or heard from a Vet. I finally took them to another doctor and (as I suspected and verbalized), one dog was diagnosed with a yeast condition on her skin (which has been cured in a short period of time with proper medication by the new vet). But what has me really angry is that the new Vet quickly told me that the dog that had been mutilating himself, had a broken tooth and just had his roots exposed. He has been in horrible pain for months. My new Vet pulled the tooth and my dog was back to his old self immediately. How would you feel if you realized that your dog was in pain for months unnecessarily due to an oversight by your Vet? Did he even look in my dog's mouth? If so, why did the new Vet immediately catch it and Dr Moore did not? I'm not sure what is going on but as an owner, I have expressed my concerns to the Vet directly and he told me to feel free to find a new Vet! Wow! If you are going here and suspect something doesn't feel right, take the advice Dr Moore gave me and go to another vet. I'm so happy that I did. I will never go back to Southlake Animal Hospital and I will never recommend them to anybody ever again. Read Less
