We've heard great things about Animal Hospital but hadn't used until our 1.5 year old kitty wasn't acting the same and i thought she may be injured. On a whim, I contacted their office as a new patient just knowing we couldn't be seen that day, if at all, as it was week beteen Christmas to New Year's. They took my information and I got a callback right away, within minutes, asking additional questions to help determine what might be going on. They got us in a couple of hours later. A camelback, bloodwork, antibiotics and our Lena, with a very high fever, was immediately showing signs of feeling better. Although off the next day, Dr. Driever personally called to confirm bloodwook results and inquire on status of Lena. They were very thorough and great customer service! We will definitely be back! Not horrible, but I've had better experiences elsewhere. My dog has always been excited/happy to go anywhere she can meet people, and has never had any issues with being scared of vets, until this time. I don't know if it was the vet not being comforting and "greeting" her when he entered (rather, just getting down to business with the shots, etc), or the whole experience, but she just wanted to escape. First time I've ever seen her like that.We'll probably go back to the other vet we used for several years without this issue. Read Less

Our Maltese Katy has been seen and treated by the good people at the Hwy 6 Animal Hospital for almost 16 years. Today was her last visit to the vet, it was time for her to take her next journey and go where all good dogs go. When I called about the visit they scheduled me in this morning and from the time we entered the front door until the end, everyone was so kind and considerate. Dr. Driever took time to explain what was going to happen and how Katy would just go to sleep first and then pass without any discomfort or pain. I was allowed to stay with Katy for as long as I needed after he had injected the last drug. I'm glad they have it set up so there is a side door I could exit when I was ready to leave, it would have been very difficult to go through a busy waiting room without breaking down. It may seem foolish to some but Katy's ashes will come back to the family she loved and that loved her for a final farewell from the grand-kids and family. Our two dogs have been visiting Dr. Driever and his team for a number of years, and with good reason! The staff is always extremely friendly, patient with our questions, and great with our pups (even the short tempered french bulldog who has a Napolean complex). We're so lucky to have found these folks. They cared for our Basset all his life, providing him with everything from boarding to some fairly serious surgery.
