If you wanted to see someone here it has to be Dr.Floyd. She is very sweet, kind and attentive. Always give her honest opinion and never puts on unnecessary charges for the visit. Have been bringing our German Shepherd here for almost 7+ months since we had a not so good experience at another vet's. She has looked into his allergy problems and sees him for any other regular visits. Definitely recommend her. We did see another male doctor on one occasion for an ear infection when Dr.Floyd was not in the office- and he was not nearly as welcoming and helpful. But to each their own. Read Less

Past December we had to let go of our beautiful Morena, our pet for 13 yrs, it was a very hard decision to make, at that time the entire staff were so extremely nice and loving. We felt so supported by them. We received a Christmas card with the signature of all the staff and their condolences, I was not expecting that and it filled my heart with so much love. An amazing find! I was a little anxious over the reason for my visit, the receptionist answered my call immediately and was extremely polite and calm. All my questions were answered and I was given some quotes. They’re open til late evening and were able to work with my schedule! I called a day or two later to confirm my appt, I spoke to two receptionist and both were incredible! The front desk ladies definitely know what customer service is! When I finally made it in for my scheduled appointment they were quick to tend to everyone and were extremely welcoming, from their tone to the small talk. Once inside I met with a nurse who went over the reason for my visit. She was super nice and seemed to really care about my concerns. I then met with Dr. Parks who is the most bubbly and helpful veterinarian we have visited! Both the nurse and Dr. Parks loved and cared for my dog as their own. Dr. Parks is loving and super informative. Both my pup and I left with lots of hugs, and totally looking forward to our next visit! Dr. Floyd is an absolute MUST if you need a kitty vet. I am sure the other vets are amazing as well, but Dr. Floyd is my favorite. Our 2 cats have visited her for years now and so has our newest kitten. I have always seen a different assistant and they have all been so gentle and kind as well, even though my cats aren't always the easiest to deal with. Dr. Hendricks was wonderful but the front desk staff and nurses were so rude and impersonal that I decided to take my dog elsewhere. After scheduling an operation a month in advanced I received absolutely no information or confirmation from them and when I called with questions I was put on hold several times and didn't have my message returned for several days. Sugar Land Pet Hospital provided top-notch service when we medically boarded our ailing, elderly dog. The check-in process was very thorough and they made sure her conditions were well-understood. Our dog had complications while boarding, however, the doctor was kind enough to wait to call until it was a reasonable hour in the time zone in which we were travelling. In the meantime, however, the doctor had taken reasonable steps to investigate the cause of her issues. We were also impressed when the doctor gave us very realistic advice on how to proceed, rather than attempting to convince us to run costly procedures. In short, we were pleased with the professionalism of the staff, as well as their strong decision-making capabilities. We would definitely return to Sugar Land Pet Hospital. Read Less

By far the best vets who care and love what they do! We moved 50 miles away and have local options for vet care, but we are willing to make the drive to see Dr. Hendrix. Multiple times he has been there for us in a time of need and he showed compassion and care every time. Our dachshund came down with degenerative back disease several years ago over the Christmas and New Year holiday. He took her in like she was his own and cared for her, even providing us his cell phone for any questions or worries we had while she was hospitalized. When we eventually lost our pet, the entire office rallied behind us and even send a condolence card to us with everyone personally signing it. On another occasion my other dachshund was snake bit and we called Dr. Hendrix after hours (not thinking we would hear from him). Within 10 minutes he called apologizing for not answering the call (as he was putting his kids to bed). He gave us options of whether to find emergency care or what to do overnight. He saw her first thing next morning. With so many veterinary options out there, even with the distance we still choose Sugar Land Pet Hospital. Read Less

Excellent and very clean place. It was pretty crowded with last minute check ups before Christmas but the place seemed like a meeting place for clients and staff! Dr. Hendricks has a great bedside manner. He's informative and he exudes a great compassion for his patients...and their parents. I've had several experiences with him, some involving pets that were terminal and as someone who considers my pets as my babies this is no easy task. GROOMER REVIEW ONLY: He either needs an assistant to share the workload or be replaced. Our sweet gentle giant came home with a choppy cut,knicks and cuts all over her belly,neck, and legs. Only the front nails were trimmed and cut so short you could hardly see them and two were bleeding all over the place. I went and got quick stop from petco to make the bleeding stop because when I tried to put our dog in te truck she refused to leave the house. She always loves to go bye bye,so whatever happened with the groomer scared her. We did file a complaint, the groomer called us back and was hostile ,rude, and yelling at us that he did things prefectly. The price charged was double what we were quoted but I figured she was worth it so we didn't care about that. I don't like that he hurt our girl and now she will always think the vet is a place that will hurt her. It will take time for her to learn otherwise. Don't judge the vet by this groomer though, the vet and his staff are great as we have used them for years,but that groomer needs to take a vacation, people who work with animals do so because they love them. Maybe he needs to be reminded of that and take some time off to regroup. We understood he had some health issues but no excuse to take it put on our furbabies or us. The officer manager was nice and is doing her best to make things right. We will still use the vet side but we will not be using the groom side any further until changes are made there.Read Less

We take our two dogs and cat there. We are very satisfied with the Vet's and the staff. They are all very helpful and understanding to our pets needs. When medication is needed the purpose and amount are explained very well. Our pets enjoy the atmosphere in the building and are comfortable walking in. As a pet owner that is a comfort. Read Less

I have two adopted pugs that I take to sugarland pet hospital. I live far away, but make the drive, because the service and customer service here is unbeatable! Dr. Hendrix has to be the most personable vet doctor I have ever met. He is kind, friendly, thorough, very communicative of what he is doing, and really really cares to do the right thing without unneccessary tests or costs. He will love and take care of your pet as much as you do! I always get phone calls from the staff on updates of tests, as well as follow up phone calls on how my pet is healing and behaving. The staff here are just amazing- always always friendly, and prompt! I have never had any problems here! And if you know pugs, you know they tend to have frequent medical issues. I love that I can call and order my prescriptions from them and they mail them to me promptly as well. Cons 1. First of all, let me say that they were out of feline leukemia and aids test?????? That seems like common stock to me. 2. If you have exotic pets such as a hamster, don't go there. I've had the doctor prescribe me the same medication for two hamsters that didn't work. Both times he told me they would die and they have internal problems. The 2nd hamster that he diagnosed, I used makeshift home remedies to cure him since he was doomed by the Dr. Both times I had a list of symtoms and the Dr just waved em off and went on to diagnose in about 15 seconds of thinking. He did not run test on any of them. Pros 1. The Dr and staff are very nice. 2. The place is very clean and nice. 3. The wait time is about 5 minutes. Read Less
