Best veterinarian in the local area. I worked for the *unnamed* ingleside doctor, and I wouldn't trust him even with my enemies lives. Dr. Floerke is caring and gentle and thorough for any of your animals from the size of a pea to a horse or bull. Dr. Cox has purchased the practice now as Doc Floerke has retired. Dr. Cox is just as amazing, if not better than Doc Floerke. The staff is phenomenal, waiting times are never long. They cycle through their appointments efficiently while still maintaining thorough client satisfaction. It's worth the drive out of the way. There is no better veterinary office with 100 miles. The staff is beyond amazing. You can tell they ALL care. Dr. Floerke has recently retired, and he has left the clinic in the extremely capable hands of Dr. Cox. Dr. Cox is the best there is in South Texas. And Dr. Barnett is a great vet as well. 5 stars is not enough for how great of a place Floerke Veterinary Clinic is. Dr. Cox is amazing and so is Ashley, the vet technician. I brought my beagle in because she wasn’t feeling well and it turns out that she ate a part of her collar. Dr. Cox performed surgery the same day to remove the collar and they kept her for 4 days while she healed. Unfortunately every complication that can pretty much occur happened to our sweet girl and she just got done with her 3rd surgery in 2 weeks. Since she had surgery on a Friday, Dr. Cox took her home with him for the weekend so he can monitor her. We still don’t know what the outcome will be, but regardless I can’t thank Dr. Cox enough for all that he has done. He has gone above and beyond for our little Harlee by giving us daily updates and even sending us pictures of her. Dr. Cox is a great vet and Ashley is such a compassionate vet technician. I will continue to recommend them to anyone that I know. I wish that I could give them 10 stars because that’s what they truly deserve. Read Less

We have been coming to Dr Floerke's since 2001. We are a military family and have been from The west coast to the east coast. Taking our fur babies to many facilities all over this country. We absolutely love this clinic and have even made phone calls to them when we were stationed other places to ensure that the people we were seeing were giving us the best options. So many other places tried to sell us things we didn't need or want. This family owned practice has always shown me that they love our animals as much as we do. THEY are absolutely the basis we use to judge all the rest and believe me when I say they are hands down the best in service, the best in prices and will never sell you anything without talking to you first. They give you options always. The best Veterinary Clinic across this country! Because we are in the military we try to wait until we are home on leave to have our babies seen here. We have a 2.5 year old husky/malamute mix. Last week Thursday, she became extremely lethargic and painful in her abdomen. We took her to the emergency vet in Corpus, whom did x-rays and other tests. Ultimately, they diagnosed her with pyometra; a uterine infection, which fills the uterus with pus, until it finally ruptures, filling her abdominal cavity with infectious pus. This is a deadly infection that can kill both spayed, and un-spayed female dogs (depending on the vet that performs the spay). They quoted us $3,000+ to perform the surgery, her life depended on it. It had to be one of the most difficult decisions I've ever made. We chanced it, and prayed that Floerke would be the solution. The following morning, they took our Husky in, and performed the uterus removal surgery that afternoon. We are coming up on day 5 post-surgery. There are plenty of hurdles that could still affect the outcome of our healing dog. But I'm so thankful for Floerke. Our girl is completely normal again, she has a huge appetite, and is so spunky. She's gaining weight, and looks much more healthy. Her digestive system is functioning normally, and she's healing very quickly. She's been kept in a nice, big kennel and will be resting there until she gets through this and heals properly. She's been on antibiotics and pain meds. For that, I'm so grateful for Floerke. They were a godsend, reasonable, and realistic. The doctor is realistic, and is up front about complications we can expect with this. The incision is very clean, and never swelled, or turned red. I'm happy to have been given even 5 more days with our pup, and I pray for more, and more to come. After losing a dog in the past to a messy spay performed by a vet in Rockport, I was afraid to spay Chunk and I also had hopes to breed her one day, maybe have even more huskies. In reality, not spaying her, placed her life at risk. Take your dog to these folks, before anyone else. They are great people, who care about the wellbeing of these animals. They took excellent care of my pig. He put up with me sharing all my "helpful" pig knowledge! They didn't charge me a life savings when he knew I would've paid anything. It's very rare to find someone that doesn't take advantage of a situation like that. I was so upset and worried about her and everyone was very kind to us. Our Dachshund Cheech had injured his back , after two weeks of treating him at home with meds from a local vet in west Texas he was in horrible shape his pain level was not controllable at home, we drove him to Taft to Floerke Vet Clinic, not knowing if he would survive. After 3 weeks of treatment and care by the Doctor and a special vet tech that we now call the wiener dog whisperer we have our Cheech back home with us, he finishes his meds this Saturday, Cheech is back to himself again, he will no longer be able to jump off the couch and we will watch his weight, we or so pleased and happy to have Cheech back and healthy and we now that Floerke Vet Clinic and their staff saved our Cheech and we can not express our feelings on how thankful we or. Floerke Vet Clinic is hands down the best vet clinic out there!! We recently lost our bulldog baby under very sad and unexpected circumstances. They could not have done anything more to comfort us and help us through that horrible day. We have used the Floerke's for going on 10 years and two dogs now. I was referred here by a friend and had a great experience. I got lost and had to call, but they were really nice on the phone giving directions. Then, even arriving almost 20 minutes late for my appointment they were not only friendly and understanding, but I had less than a 5 minute wait. The vet and tech were capable and very sweet to my kitten, but the best part was that I left feeling like I hadn't just been raked across the coals. Having seen so many vets insist on and recommend unnecessary expensive things, I was very pleasantly surprised that not only were the prices reasonable to begin with, they were very straightforward about everything and seemed to genuinely care more about the animals than the money.
