Starting over at a new vet after a move is never easy but Kitty Hawk is so welcoming, friendly and caring. My dog has a collapsing trachea and was coughing quite a bit. Our vet of choice is Dr Griffith, she started him on a new ( to him) protocol that has made a remarkable difference in my dog. He can run and play again with much less coughing. Great people. Love animals. Dr. Hooper is amazing. They, especially Dr. Hooper, are why I keep coming back. My only real issue with this place is that their notification system is very poor. For instance, I just got a notification that my dogs need shots they got 2 months ago. Oh and the notification said they were due for shots in Feb, postage date was Mar 23. I would give them a pass, but this has happened a couple of times now, so it's not a one off. Whatever computer tracking program they use, it's not working. Read Less

I love that they keep your pet for the day, it really helps when you cant get out of work... They are detailed and can fit you in last minute if you have a more urgent concern for your pet. They even have staff that can answer your questions about symtoms to give you peace of mind. Their shop is nice too, and offers a variety of suitable food for any cat or dog. Griffey always comes home very happy and the staff is super friendly to both of us. The location is good for anyone that works or lives near Randolph Air Force Base. Read Less

My young male cat was attacked and bitten in our backyard by a stray cat. His foot started swelling and the next day he was unable to walk on it at all. They worked him in at the end of the day. They knew just what had happened and took action. His foot looks much better today and he is able to walk already! They did an awesome job with as little discomfort as possible, to my pet!! I absolutely love this practice, the receptionists, management, technicians, boarding and the amazing doctors are the best! They will take the utmost care of your fur babies and have such knowledgeable client education. It has by far been the very best practice I have had the pleasure to be involved with. Originally when Miss Milli Cat had a health issue, I was unable to get an immediate appointment with a good Vet. closer to our home - they referred me to Kitty Hawk Animal Hospital. I fully intended to transfer her care to the closer Vet. After receiving care from Kitty Hawk Vet and Staff, I made the decision to stay with this Practice. Miss Milli has been a client of Kitty Hawk since March 2014. Staff have always treated Milli with hands-on respect, and, on the phone or face to face with me, they have been courteous, knowledgeable and understanding. Milli's personal Vet. is Dr. Hooper - she is the best! Dr. Hooper has been professionally attentive to Milli's needs. She has explained and discussed with me health issues, treatments and procedures thoroughly. She has always answered my questions and discussed my concerns to my satisfaction. When Milli had blood lab drawn, Dr. Hooper called me and emailed results. I highly recommend this Vet. Practice. 04/26/17 addendum: Since I last posted, I have adopted Marlow cat as a companion for Milli cat. Fantastic animal hospital! They took good care of us. Our Bengal cat got diabetes. The caring vets and techs always helped us to understand exactly how to care for our kitty. He struggled with the disease regardless of the wonderful care we received and when it was time to end his suffering, the staff lovingly and gently put him to rest. They fully understood what a horribly difficult decision it was for us to make. They even sent us a sympathy card afterward. I take my 3 cats and 1 dog to Kitty Hawk Animal Hospital. When there is an issue the Vet's are very helpful and nice. I buy my cat's there special needs food which is so much closer then driving to pet smart. You can tell that everyone there cares about the animals that go in and out of that hospital. Read Less

Since they don't usually survive this I want to thank them for giving my kitty an additional 2 and a half years of life including a move to California. We recently had to say goodbye to our kitty of 18.5 years, Schmenky. Kitty Hawk offered us treatment options that gave us a few extra weeks with her and were extremely kind and understanding when it came time to let her go. They let us take her home so we could keep her close to us in our backyard. We got a clay paw print keepsake. They even sent a sympathy card and made a charitable donation in Schmenky's honor. Kitty Hawk Animal Hospital has been my kitties vet for several years now. Dr. Hooper is amazing! Sometimes there is a little bit of a wait, but there are two reasons for this. 1) There may be an animal in an emergency situation, or 2) The doctors are thorough in their care of your fur baby. I have had to be seen on both those occasions. They have always done their best to make sure my kitties received the best medical care possible. I took my sweet pug Dexter for his neuter on Wednesday and was very impressed. His incision looks amazing and he has healed very quickly. The staff is very knowledgeable and caring. Their prices are also very good especially for the quality of care. We love Dr. Horger, He truly takes his time and asks all the important questions. The office staff is great and always friendly. The vet techs are quick to administer regular vaccines and always answer any random questions I might have. They are always trying to save you money and trips by always double checking your account to see what needs to be updated. We ended up at Kitty Hawk Animal Hospital with a very ill feral kitten (Bandit) who had been living in our yard. Everyone there was incredibly compassionate and provided the best possible care for him. The vet techs were patient and wonderful with my daughters, who had become quite attached to Bandit. The doctor was honest with us about treatment options, cost, and prognosis and was available each time we called to ask a question or get an update. I was in search of a good Veterinarian. My dogs have health issues and I can't take chances. Dr. Kline is an excellent choice. My first visit wasn't an emergency but I feel confident that my pets are in the best care possible. I was impressed that he scoped her ears and we could see everything on the monitor. My grandchildren were amazed! The hospital is connected which I was also impressed with. No need to travel to any other place if it's an emergency. The pet store is inside as well.
