We had been here a few times before right after we moved to Waco and it was okay, overcharged and nothing spectacular but convenient. We had a minor emergency with our dog and my husband took him here around noon to get him checked out. The older woman at the front was SO rude and made him feel like an awful inconvenience because he didn't have an appointment. She was rude and mumbled things under her breath so he couldn't hear, and rolled her eyes the entire time. They will never get another dime from us and I would rather drive the 10-15 minutes to the Animal Hospital on La Salle. Read Less

You cannot find a better veterinarian or better vet techs anywhere in Waco. They care about you and your pet and it shows. Their prices make sense, too, and the place is always nice and clean.

I love LAHS! I actually drive 100 miles from Austin to go to see Dr. Chad & his great crew. I've tried vets in Austin and they just don't measure up. They are wonderfully flexible with their schedule and working our dogs in when needed, and don't try to sell you things you don't need. They gently guide your dogs care, and help you make the right decisions for you. I had a very old terrier mix with congestive heart failure, cataracts, etc and they never recommended unnecessary products or procedures. When she died, the vet and staff were genuinely sympathetic and supportive. My new dog Gilly is still getting to know them, but my mom's older dog Chloe absolutely can't wait to go see them when we ask her if she wants to. Dogs know people who care for them and those who don't. If you are looking for people who will truly love your pets and care for an owners needs as well, give them a try! Read Less

I had my neighbor take her dog here when she had gotten Parvo.  They were phenomenal and against the odds the dog made a full recovery.  They even worked with them on the charges.

I was overcharged (greatly!) and the vet was not helpful. My cats became sicker and sicker, and I finally changed animal hospitals.
