I’ve been using this veterinary service for years and just a few days ago needed them for an emergency. My dog and moms dog got into a fight. Blood was everywhere. The small dog was bleeding so badly from her mouth and nose. We were frantic. I called the on-call vet and he gave me a third degree about not getting my dog’s most recent shots there. My dog wasn’t the animal in need at the moment but he would not hear it. He said to me “you want me to come in late at night when I have to work tomorrow but you aren’t using ALL of our daytime services “. I said, it’s just shots, she gets everything else there. He didn’t care. I had no choice but to hang up on him and call another vet office for emergency help as the dog was still profusely bleeding and possibly dying. I am heartbroken that my own vet wouldn’t help me. My mother’s dog is also established there and she is heartbroken as well.

Been there with several pets and the only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is one vet. The other staff are always pleasant, helpful and the other vets are very good. One vet is seriously only focused on money and wanted us to do a bunch of tests that we did t have the money for, plus when we took are cat back for a follow up since the meds didn’t seem to be helping a different saw him and we found out he had a very large tumor in his throat that the first vet missed. The second doctor was straight with us, informed us of costs for fancier treatment that wouldn’t have helped our cat given his condition and the next steps we could take to make him comfortable.

Dr. Wurster takes every step possible to make sure our sweet lab Maggie has the best care available to her! More expensive; a $30 'wellness exam' fee every time a pet goes in, even if it's just a week later. Sometimes not too clean in the exam rooms. Waiting time is the second worst in Wichita Falls. However, the doctors are very good, it's possible to get after-hours care. The latter is why I prefer it.

I want to thank Dr. Bomar & Dr. Sultemeier for saving our baby Stowie (cat). Stowie in hindsight may have been coming down with something that we did not detect, then had his vaccinations (Rabies & FELV). He started vomiting & wouldn't eat or drink for 5 days, we were devastated. Stowie is the sweetest cat but turns into monster (fear reaction) at Vet, so they truly can't treat w/o sedating. Dr. B told us to get a small rubber crate with top load & he would bag/gas (sedate) in crate to avoid more trauma to Stow & danger to staff (Stow scratched first time transferred to sedate). They hydrated day 3 again day 5, gave anti vomiting shot both days, long acting antibiotic shot, B12 shot, and appetite stimulant pills. They couldn't find cause blood test normal, slight fever, & X-ray negative. We can't thank them enough for not giving up and their creative can-do attitude of treating our sweet baby/vet monster! Fingers crossed on day 6 Stow started eating, day 7 took first drink! Now 3 days of normal eating/drinking and acting like himself!

We took our dog Blu in with a broken leg. The staff was fantastic, super friendly environment. Until the vet came in. He told us the cost of the x-ray, we then needed to look at the cost of everything. We asked him what we were looking at, what our options were, his opinion on the whole situation, we told him we had just got our puppy over parvo so we were a little tight, he said "well nothing we can do about that". We NEVER said we COULDN'T afford it, we were just being cautious with our funds. When he came back, he showed us the fractures, and said "with your financial problems surgery probably isnt an option."
Financial problems? How did he know we had any? I mean, not that we're loaded, but we are okay, our dogs are cared for and loved..... which is why we were at the vet!
We WERE having to consider costs, because we had just got over an expensive case of parvo with our puppy.
He then proceeded to LECTURE US about how "expensive" dogs are. He said "I know you guys may WANT a dog but fact is they arent cheap.
UM..... EXCUSE ME?
All in all as SOON as we mentioned costs the "Friendly" vet immediately shut down... if he was ever friendly to begin with. We wouldn't know because the FIRST thing he said to us was "we have to do an xray itll be $100. Like he was just testing us from the start.
It was terrible. He was telling us we didn't need our dogs because we were not financially stable enough for them. That was NOT his place, we paid our vet bill with no problem and he had no right to make us feel like bad pet owners!
The staff and facility were great, but we were there to see the VET, who was AWFUL. SO RUDE! Did NOT care about us or our dog at all, only money!

I just had to take my sweet Boston terrier Mojoejoe up for an emergency visit, the staff and Dr were very sweet and caring. Even though I don't have the funds they did everything they could do with what I had. I pray he gets better, either way they were very kind to my baby and to me.

More expensive; a $30 'wellness exam' fee every time a pet goes in, even if it's just a week later. Sometimes not too clean in the exam rooms. Waiting time is the second worst in Wichita Falls. However, the doctors are very good, it's possible to get after-hours care. The latter is why I prefer it.

Everyone from the front desk staff, the technicians and the vets are very professional and caring towards everyone! Even though my dog hates the vet they are able to calm him down. Love it here!

I want to thank Dr. Bomar & Dr. Sultemeier for saving our baby Stowie (cat). Stowie in hindsight may have been coming down with something that we did not detect, then had his vaccinations (Rabies & FELV). He started vomiting & wouldn't eat or drink for 5 days, we were devastated. Stowie is the sweetest cat but turns into monster (fear reaction) at Vet, so they truly can't treat w/o sedating. Dr. B told us to get a small rubber crate with top load & he would bag/gas (sedate) in crate to avoid more trauma to Stow & danger to staff (Stow scratched first time transferred to sedate). They hydrated day 3 again day 5, gave anti vomiting shot both days, long acting antibiotic shot, B12 shot, and appetite stimulant pills. They couldn't find cause blood test normal, slight fever, & X-ray negative. We can't thank them enough for not giving up and their creative can-do attitude of treating our sweet baby/vet monster! Fingers crossed on day 6 Stow started eating, day 7 took first drink! Now 3 days of normal eating/drinking and acting like himself!

We took our dog Blu in with a broken leg. The staff was fantastic, super friendly environment. Until the vet came in. He told us the cost of the x-ray, we then needed to look at the cost of everything. We asked him what we were looking at, what our options were, his opinion on the whole situation, we told him we had just got our puppy over parvo so we were a little tight, he said "well nothing we can do about that". We NEVER said we COULDN'T afford it, we were just being cautious with our funds. When he came back, he showed us the fractures, and said "with your financial problems surgery probably isnt an option."
Financial problems? How did he know we had any? I mean, not that we're loaded, but we are okay, our dogs are cared for and loved..... which is why we were at the vet!
We WERE having to consider costs, because we had just got over an expensive case of parvo with our puppy.
He then proceeded to LECTURE US about how "expensive" dogs are. He said "I know you guys may WANT a dog but fact is they arent cheap.
UM..... EXCUSE ME?
All in all as SOON as we mentioned costs the "Friendly" vet immediately shut down... if he was ever friendly to begin with. We wouldn't know because the FIRST thing he said to us was "we have to do an xray itll be $100. Like he was just testing us from the start.
It was terrible. He was telling us we didn't need our dogs because we were not financially stable enough for them. That was NOT his place, we paid our vet bill with no problem and he had no right to make us feel like bad pet owners!
The staff and facility were great, but we were there to see the VET, who was AWFUL. SO RUDE! Did NOT care about us or our dog at all, only money!
